Hey everybody. I've love giving advice so I'll answer every question I can. If you need any advice on anything, just ask me! A little about me- I play tennis and I love to shop and hang out at my pool with friends. I'll be a sophomore in high school this year so I've had plenty of experience on friendship and relationships. I always try to take my time and answer every question thoughtfully. I don't care about ratings or any of that, I just want to help people out. :-)

how do you style side-swept bangs? like would you straighten them, or what. i don't have them, but i want them. and would it look bad if you didn't style them?
I always straighten mine. If your hair is super straight anyway then you might not need to but you definitely don't want them to be wavy at all.

hey, i'm a fourteen year old and i've never kissed a girl in my life, idk how, and i'm too shy to do it, a lot of people think i'm good looking and i've had a lot of gf's, i've just been too shy to do it, and i don't know how, so, yeah, any tips?
All I can say is wait for the right girl. Don't go in for it with whoever because then you might regret it. Just wait until you have a girlfriend that you really like, and you know she likes you. Then you have to wait for the right time. Try to do it when you're at the movies, saying goodbye, or just hanging out together. Don't be shy about it because I'm sure she'll be anxious for you to make a move too.

Most photo editing programs have that feature...I have HP Image Zone and Kodak EasyShare Software and they both do it.

tomorrow is my me and my boyfriend's anniversary. I have NO MONEY, so I want to make him something special. I've already made him:
-nice cards
-letters written on fancy stationary
-little booklet things
-picture frames with our pictures
-drawings, paintings
-scrapbooks
-memory books
-love quotes
-etc.
Is there anything REALLY special that I can make him that's not one of those things? I honestly can't think of one thing. Thats why I need your help. Kthnxbye.
Maybe you could make a really nice dinner and decorate the table really pretty. You could bake some kind of dessert too. I don't know, just have fun with it!

There is this guy that i like and he likes me but he has a girlfriend. he is my really good friend. but he made a move on me. people tell me to just stay friends with him. i agree with those people but i dont know what i am gunna say to him..*

I definitely think you need to stay just friends with him. If he made a move on you while he's with another girl, chances are he'd cheat on you with someone else if you ended up going out. You don't really need to say anything to him but if he tries to hit on you again or whatever, just be like "Dude, you have a girlfriend. Show her some respect." I think thats all that needs to be said.

I'm 14 and I'm one of 3 people in my grade that doesn't have a cell phone. I'm constantly out with my friends and they don't like me to call home on their phones cus it uses there minutes. *They didn't mind at first but when I have to constantly call home they got frusterated* My parents want me to call all the time when I'm out. I've tried explaining to them all the reasons why I need one, Like how they want me to call home and all that but they still say you dont get one till your 16 like your brothers. Well, im not my brothers, im more responsible, but i tried to tell my parents that and they wont believe me!
What should I do?
That really sucks. Your parents seem to be pretty stubborn about this. Ok I have an idea, but it might not be a great one. Next time they tell you to call home, don't. Then when you get home or whatever just be like "I tried to call but I couldn't find a cell phone or pay phone to use! This wouldn't happen if I had my own cell phone." Sounds devious, and it is, but it just might work. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, try reasoning with them again. (Preferably at a time when they are in a really good mood! lol) Maybe they said you can get a cell at 16 because that's the time when most kids start to go out a lot, but it sounds like you go out a lot with your friend already. Explain that to them. Be sure not to whine and try to sound as mature as possible! I really hope this helps, let me know how it goes!

I really have no idea. I guess it just depends how successful you are. A psychologist like Dr. Phil is going to make more money than a small town criminal justice worker, but someone like the people on Law and Order would make more than a school psychologist. So it just depends what you wanna do in that field.

Well I think for the main editors of a magazine, that is their career. But there are a lot of people who just have a column at a magazine on top of their regular career. For example Carol Weston, who write the advice column for Girl's Life magazine, is an author. People who write for sports magazine might have a career in sports but then they write a sports column in a magazine or newspaper too. I'm not sure how you would go about getting a column, but once you have a successful job already, then you could talk to different magazines about getting a column there. I'm sorry if this is a little confusing, but good luck! I'm sure you have a lot of time to think about it though.

I want to do the same thing! I think it would be really fun. I'm not exactly sure on how to get started either, but I know you should take all the journalism/English courses you can. In college you would probably major in journalism. Definitely look for an internship at a magazine while you're in college, that's where most editors get their start.

I was just wondering if anyone has used the Remington Straightner, the one that straightens wet hair. If so,does it actually work? Is there mcuh damage? Is 25-30 dollars a good price for it? My friend has that. It seems to work pretty good on her. She has extremely wavy hair so I don't think any straightener is going to get it perfectly straight, but if you're hair is kinda straight already
I've never used it when my hair is wet but when I have used it, it worked alright. I don't know I wouldn't buy it for myself, but if you think it would work for you go ahead and try it. well all of my friends wear special underwear, thongs, and i dont like them ,but i dont wanna tell them that, they'll call me granny, but im also not allowed to wear them, and when i do i feel uncomfortable and guilty thinking wut would my parents think if they know im wearing them, HELP ME!
If you don't want to wear thongs, don't. Your friends don't need to know what kind of underwear you where anyway! If you want to try some underwear that aren't "granny", go to Victoria's Secret. You should try the bikini or string bikini style. Hope this helps!

Ok I'm 13/f and I have a crush on someone. I never have in my entire life. I refuse to tell anyone because I feel really guilty and I'm worried people will make fun of me because everyone thinks I'm a nerd. Just because you think you are a "nerd", it doesn't mean you can't like guys! Why should you feel guilty? So maybe you aren't as popular as the kids who make fun of you, but you shouldn't even value their opinions. If you like someone, don't let anyone else get in the way of it.

Ok so on Friday i am going to my freinds house for a "movie night" we're going to paly volleyball outside earlier and then later we're going to watch hide and seek. well no big deal. she invited 4 guys and 3 girls (shes the 4th girl). well its kinda like a paired off thing. she invited couples. except for me. she invited this guy. i kind of like him i guess. same with him. he told my freind he kind of likes me. well i dont know i thnk it's goign to br really weird. because all the other people are goign ot be with their girl/boyfreind and then there will be me and this guy. i like him and all but i dont know i think it will be weird.and im kind of worried that he's gonna like try something, because thats just the the kind of guy he is...so i guess i dont know what to do.

Don't worry about it too much. Just hang out with him as if you guys were friends. If you need to, say "I know this is kind of a couple thing, but we're just friends right?" Or something like that. If you really feel weird about it, maybe you should tell your friend to invite someone else because you don't feel comfortable with him. But who knows, it might be really fun. Get to know the guy, but don't feel pressured to jump into anything.

My friend says that blink-182 is a band which mainly girls listen to. I was like, no dude, blink-182 isn't like that. There are about the same of both. It's not a guys or girls band, kind of something which everyone listens to. Who would you say is correct?
Anyone can listen to Blink-182. I think guys and girls listen to them. Too bad they are broken up now :(

I'm going into high school this year as a freshman, and I'm SO nervous. I'm scared that I won't have anyone to talk to and I won't do well in my classes (I got all honors), so can anyone please tell me what high school is like ? Like, the classes, teachers, classmates, etc.. And any tips to make friends and do well in the classes ? kthnx.
High school! You should be super excited. Welcome to the best 4 years of your life! However it is normal to be nervous. Of course your classes will be harder than junior high/middle school, but that's just how it is. School gets a little harder each year. Plus if you're an honor student you should be fine as long as you stay focused. All I can say is do whatever you can to not get caught up in the stupid drama. It's sometimes inevitable, but try to stay away from mean girls. If you have some friends who are going to the same school as you, hang out with them for now. If you don't, just be super friendly, smile and try to make friends. And don't worry too much about getting a boyfriend until you have some good friends. As for teachers, you'll probably have some mean ones, some nice ones but you learn to deal with it. There's so much to look forward to in high school. Homecoming dances, football games, and awesome new friends. Good luck and if you have any more questions, ask because I'd love to help!
