Okay, So I have my own website and I wanted to make myself a banner. But I don't have any cool programs (like all I have is paint) and I don't know advanced HTML, so even if I made a really lame one I wouldn't know how to code it to link to my site. Not only that, but I need to know how to make the box so people could put it on their sites to promote me and stuff.

If you have the file(JPG, BMP, PNG, etc), simply upload it to imageshack.us, or a similar service, and use either the bottom link or the second to bottom link it gives you.

I heard somewhere that Marilyn Manson was planning on using some subliminal techniques in his upcoming movie.Could someone give me a website or something that explains what effect this has on people (or explain yourself,if you can),and point me to some movies that have already done it?
Some subliminal techniques have an effect, but I doubt that anything Marilyn Manson does will be anything other than a publicity stunt.
Subliminal messages will sometimes make you have an urge to do something. They'll never force you to do anything, or do anything you wouldn't do normally. A subliminal message to "scratch your head" almost always works, a message to "worship Satan" has probably never worked. Subliminal techniques that work are text that scrolls across a screen fast(but slow enough you can read it), and quiet audio. Backwards speech or text will never work, since you can't hear/read it. Ok, so I use AOL, I know I know, it sucks. Whatever. I keep getting a message telling me that my security setting prevent ActiveX controls from being run on the page. Is there anyway to turn this off? I don't want to allow ActiveX for everything, but I don't want to be notified when it blocks something. In IE, the message appears in the warning bar, so I can just ignore it and keep using the site, but in AOL, its a dialog box, so I have to feequently click OK to keep browsing on activeX heavy sites like myspace.
I don't believe you can. I couldn't find an answer on the internet, and I downloaded AOL explorer to try it myself, but I couldn't figure it out. Sorry.

Whenever I hear my voice on some kind of recording I think it sounds really bad and nasal.(dvds of my performances) Even though everyone I've worked with says "oh you have such a gorgeous voice it's really strong" and "no you're not doing it nasally. at all!" (and these are vocal professionals) I still think my voice usually doesn't sound too hot on recordings.
What is an accurate way to hear my voice- the way it TRULY sounds? Getting a demo CD? How do I go about doing that?
(since I know your own ears don't hear your voice accurately because they're behind you)
You can't, everyone thinks their voice sounds horrible when they listen to it. I don't know why, but I doubt there is a single person who likes the sound of their own voice.

Does anyone know what i can do or what website i can go to fix/update my msn thing. i'm able to sign in but it's slower and it gets slower when i go to my email. this happened to me before and i did something that like updated my inbox and stuff but now i can remember how to. i really get annoyed when it laggs because i end up waiting for nothing when i realized my computer froze everytime i try to go in my inbox on MSN.

-DangerNerd's answers are very complete, and are some of the best answers on the site. It's clear he researches his answers thoroughly. He usually answers the same kind of questions I do, so I like reading them.
-ammo answers both relationship and technical questions, and he completely answers every part of the question. If I notice ammo has answered a question, I'll usually not answer it, since he's likely covered everything perfectly.
-TheWallflower seems to have a lot of general and technical knowledge. S/he gives great technical advice that I enjoy reading, and answers other questions with statements I agree with.

Use HandBrake( http://handbrake.m0k.org ) to convert your DVDs to mp4. Then use the zune client( instructions for that here: http://www.zune.net/en-us/support/howto/start/installsoftware.htm ) to transfer it to your zune. Have fun!

I want to become a Moderator, and I will.. once I hit one month. My only question is, I was one before but I lost it because I did'nt update for a week, because I was on vacation. Sometimes I get punished from the computer too, can I still be a moderator?
I don't want to loose the privlagde (I can't spell) because I'm on vacation.
The requirements are:
-You've been rated five times
-Your average rating is at least 4
-You joined one month ago
-If you've ever been banned, it was at least six weeks ago
-You've updated your column in the last week
So if you've joined more than a month ago(and meet the other requirements), you should immediately be able to re-apply and be accepted once you answer a question(update your column). As far as I know, you don't have to wait an extra month. Here's the application link:

Okay so I have a DELL laptop (not the one I'm on right now) my parents got for me at the end of my 8th grade graduation (I'm a sophmore soon to be junior now) so this computer isnt very old. Anyway, whenever I try to turn the computer on this message comes up:
No boot sector on internal hard drive
No bootable devices--strike F2 to retry boot, F2 for setup utility
No F1 does nothing the message keeps showing up and I really don't know what to do when I get to the setup utility... anyone really good with computers want to explain to me what is going wrong with my computer? I need this computer to help me study for finals one and two it has EVERYTHING on it... has my hard drive crashed? any kind of help is greatly appreciated
It has either become corrupted(fixable) or the drive broke(not fixable). If it's 4+ years old, it's probably permanently broken :(. If it's a newer computer, like it sounds, you can probably fix it, but it will delete all your data. If you have some very important data on there, I can walk you through a procedure that has a (very) small chance of getting your data back; IM me(info on column) if want to try that(you'll need a cd burner and some blank disks to do it). To make it work, but delete all your data, put your windows INSTALL disk(not recovery disk. The install disk will probably be extra shiny and have a bunch of windows logos on it) in the computer, and start it. When it's done loading, press enter, agree to the terms, and Delete all existing partitions. Tell it to install windows on the "unpartitioned space". Format it(not quick format). Then follow the instructions it gives you. Good luck!

Try not to use like bitterxsweet suggests, it's not recommended. Computers will be able to read your content better if you make line breaks like this(there is a single line break between and ):
