Well, before the "in" thing was prep. Right? Well, now everyone is like be "original." Now, Original is becoming UnOriginal. I really don`t know what to do. Because I meen I want to be myself, and stand out. Before I was PREPPREPPREPPREP. & then I decided I wanted to become original because I got sick of everything. But, now, everyone wants to be Original, and its like a new trend. Original is suppose to be original!! not a TREND. I really dont know what to do anymore. I just want to be myself. 14/f.

okay, this is a bit tough. i totally get what you're saying though. and i believe i have an answer. you said that you want to just be yourself. so, that's what you should do. if you want to dress "original" (i actually don't really know what that is but let's just go with it) then do it. if you want to dress in all black then do it. if you want to dress like a prep then do it. believe me, nobody else's opinion matters and nobody else cares about your clothing as much as you do. so if you like something, wear it! you might even inspire some other people to wear what they want, too. i don't exactly have a style. sometimes i dress like a stagehand, sometimes i dress like a prep, sometimes i dress like a nerd... but i do it all honestly. because honestly, that's how i love to dress! and people respect that, believe it or not. so my advice to you is to just be yourself! i mean, you even said it yourself. if you want to dress Original, then go ahead! nobody will care if you're following a trend or not. in reality, people only really care about their own clothing. so just wear what you want! hope i helped!
The question is simple but the answer might be abit more complex! "Is life fair"? And please no answers lile "it's as fair as you make it"!!
yes. does everybody start out equal as far as possession? no. there are rich people, there are poor people, and there are the people in between, but everybody is in equal in their right to choice. and being given choice is what makes life fair because otherwise everything would be decided. i think life is fair because you are given a choice and if you screw up you suffer the consequences, whether right then or in the long run. but that's just my opinion.
My boyrfriend and I have been dating for over 2 years known each other for over 5. He is my best friend. We have to cats and a new puppy and live in our first house together. He says marriage is in the ans but not till later. That drives me crazy. Just recently he stated that he's been thinking about our future more often. And wondering if he's letting time past by. Was that a hint. Is he coming around or going through a man period. I need help. How does this sound to you?
he's definitely going to propose sometime, maybe this year, maybe next year... nobody knows except him! he could be nervous, or he could be waiting for the right time. heck, it could even happen today. but i think it's going to happen, and possibly even soon.
ok so i dont eat i cant sleep my hairs falling out and i dunno whats going on...even the thought of food disguists me and i cant sleep i try but i cant i sleep at like 9 in the morning every day and now i touch my head and id find some hair come out its starting to scare me im not sure what i have ...ive been having a hard time lately and been goin through some kind of depression im not sure if thats part of it ..ok thx Biii!
everybody loses hair once in a while. it could be because you're not eating properly, or because you're not sleeping. i highly doubt that you have a severe medical condition. in fact, i wouldn't be surprised if you're feeling this way because of the summer heat (i don't know where you live, but i live in texas, and in the summertime here people don't eat or sleep much because it's just too hot). if this doesn't start getting better within the next few days, i'd go to the doctor. hope you start feeling normal again!
i have been friends with "sarah" since i was a little kid (we're both 15 now). recently sarah wanted to make a myspace. i practically made the whole thing for her since i am better with computers. i posted her first comment saying "heyy sarah whats up?". i looked at her myspace a couple days later it was gone. i assume she deleted it because sarah is really popular in school, and well im not. i think that she did not want to be associated with me because im a geek. i was really upset by this and havent talked to her in a while, and i dont if i want to. should i forgive her for being 2-faced? and if i should, should i tell her i know what she did?
because it's her first myspace, maybe she didn't know that it's rude to delete comments. think about it: when you check your email, after you've read a new one, you delete it. well, maybe she thought it was the same kind of deal. so go easy on her and ask her what happened to the comment. if she deleted it because she was embarrassed to have it on her site, then she probably isn't worth your friendship. but if she feels bad about it, then try to be friends with her again. it seems like you're drawing conclusions a little too early, and i think you should talk to her about it before you call the friendship off.
i have a hot pink razor almost brand new and i hate it! it's too small and too wade to hold. i never droped it but its su uncomfutbale. i want to get the new sidekcik because my sister has the sidekick 2 and i just love it. the problem is the sidekick 3 is like 450 bucks so im wondering if because my razor is only a month old would they let me trade it and i could just pay the difference?
most stores have a return policy of one month, so i would hurry up and exchange it! if you don't have the difference right now, you can always get store credit and THEN go back and get the phone you want when you have enough cash. otherwise, i don't think it would be a problem to exchange your razr for the sidekick. they can probably even download all of the entries in your address book to your new sidekick if you ask them to.
Hey all. Well, I'm 14/f and I'm entering the 9th grade in August. I was thinking about playing volleyball in highschool, even though I don't have that much experience (playing in p.e. class), and they said that no experience is needed. I'm not sure if I should try-out because I don;t know if it would be best to be on the team in the 9th grade, or wait till next year, go to volleyball camp before the next season, and try-out in the 10th grade. I'm confused, and I don't know what to do. Could you guys help me. Also, what are they looking for, as of skills that'll get you on the team? Thanks.
hey there. just go for it. if you make it this year, then awesome! it'll be a great way to learn all about the game. but if you don't make it this year, you can always go to the volleyball camp next year and then try out. but you should definitely take the chance of trying out, even if you don't think you're going to make it. as far as i know, you need to be fast and have lower and upper body strength. i think to prepare, you can probably start running and lifting weights or something. :) good luck.
When giving advice to someone on this website, i usually tell my point of view about the situation, and i also tell them the truth and what is right to do.But when i do that, i usually get rated a 1 or 3 because the people simply didn't hear what they wanted to hear. So my question is , how can we make people listen to what they are saying, and not just cover their ears and close their infront of the truth, and let go to hear what they want to hear. i have tried to help people alot, but they just don't seem to listen. i really want to help them, and i care so much about helping people and making them happy much more than i care about my ratings.So what do i do to make them listen to the truth?
well, you can't make them listen to the truth. i understand where you're coming from, but if people aren't willing to take ACTUAL advice... then don't give it to them. before i answer questions i look at what other people have said and what they have been rated... and depending on that, i'll either answer the question or pass it by. it's hard to give advice, but it's harder to accept the truth. i don't think there is anything you can do about that except keep giving good advice. maybe someday the person you gave advice to will finally see that you were right. but until they're willing to listen, they're just asking a question for the sake of asking a question. in my mind, it seems like people ask questions and then wait for a magician to wave their wand and make their problems better, but that's not the case. anyway, i don't think there's anything any of us can do about it, really. i just think that people who ask these questions need to be prepared to hear all kinds of advice, whether it's what they want to hear or not. because otherwise what's the point in asking a question? and that is exactly why i "screen" the questions... so to speak. i only answer the ones that i know can accept my advice.
would it be wrong to date a guy a year younger than me. the thing is he lives in my neighborhood and me and his sister and others all hang out. would that be wrong.
no. it's perfectly allright. besides, it won't be a big deal, like it would be if he were 10 years older or something. i even think that 2 or 3 years apart is perfectly fine.
ok, i have just started to play the guitar and i was wondering what's the difference between tabs and chords. and which one is easier to play??
also, what are some easy songs to learn (classic rock preferably), and not to be obnoxious but i don't like playing more than one note at a time.

okay, i don't know if you have any past musical experience but here we go (i've been playing piano for 9 years and i also play sax, guitar, and mandolin). here are some definitions: tabs are basically the different notes you play written in easy form. to read a tab, off the internet for example, you basically pretend that the six horizontal lines going across the screen are the six guitar strings. it is a visual representation, reading from left to right, of what EXACTLY you play for a song. and by that i mean that it will have numbers on each corresponding string, and that is the fret number that you press the string down on while you pick it. if this doesn't make sense, there are plenty of sites you can find with google that have better definitions than i can come up with. okay, moving on. a chord is a group of notes that sound good together, whether they're major, minor, harmonic, whatever. any few notes can be a chord because there are so many different kinds for different types of music and stuff. it will have a letter for each chord (for example, G) and that means that you will press down:

(that is the tab version of the chord G)
so you would press down the corresponding strings and so forth. the best way, i've found, to learn and get good at all this stuff is just to sit down every day for a few minutes and figure out a new song. as for which one is easier to play, that's your choice. when i first started out, i wasn't so great at improvising so i read tabs because it would tell me exactly what to play. however, now that i've been playing for a while, i can make up little fills off the top of my head so if i hear a song, look up the chord progression, and sit down with my guitar, i can play something that sounds remotely like it. it's pretty cool, and if you ever get to the point where you can do that, then congratulations because it's really fun.
a good first song is "life in the fast lane" by the eagles. the intro is quite easy, once you get it up to speed and it's only one note at a time. as you progress with your playing, you'll be able to finish out the song because you have to play multiple notes at the same time (chords!).
i taught myself to play, and the reason i've been successful is because i have taken time to listen to what guitar music actually sounds like and i take time to figure it out by ear. music is a fun thing, so don't stress yourself out over it. good luck, and email me if you have any questions!
i'm confused as to where the line between the signs of friendship and love actually is,so here are a couple of scenarios,please answer according to number.

3)she compliments you on something(e.g drumming),which is good(she's not just exaggerating it to flatter you).Is she just complimenting because i'm really good?or because she likes me?
4)let's say you are famous in a band,and she doesn't know you but only through recognition from your performances,so she tells her friends that you are the singer for the band or she galnces at you.Is is that she likes you or that she just recognizes you as the singer for that band?
5)She asks your number,but doesn't really message you.Is she shy,or does she just wanna be friends?

i'm 17 and i've been wondering something confusing about girls.For instance take these two scenarios:
1)I went to a camp and this gal was looking and smiling at me alot and i did the same too, then later i saw her profile on the internet and messaged her,but she didint' reply back.So has she forgotten me?is she playing hard to get?she doesn't want to look desperate?she doesn't want to look to obvious?
2)Second scenario, I see this gal regularly when I pick my sis up for dance lessons,she keeps on looking at me and I know it, but after a while she stops looking at me and acts as if I;m not there?
Is it because she doesn't want to be too obvious?playing hard to get?forgotten about me?or lost feelings for me?

i'd say they're playing hard to get. the female mind is very complex. for instance, if a guy messaged me that i had feelings for, i would wait a while to message him back because i don't want to seem desperate. then again, i don't want to wait too long because that will make him think i'm not interested. basically, girls are really weird about stuff like that. but if you seem interested in her (but not enough to be stalkerish... see where i'm going with this?) then most likely she'll return the favor. ok, so in the first scenario i think that either she forgot about you (which is probably not likely if she kept checking you out) or is playing hard to get. there's nothing more "satisfying" than having a guy i like chase after me. then again, i have a lot of stalkers. in the second scenario, she likes you but doesn't want to seem obvious. i know because i do this all the time. anyway, go talk to her and ask her if she wants to hang out sometime. either she'll pee her pants with excitement (excuse my crude examples) or she'll run away and think you're a stalker. but the chances of her running away are slim to none. go for it, dude.
I am a singer for a band and we have played quite a lot of shows,so lately I have noticed two girls who are looking at me but they both have boyfriends.So are they looking at me because they like me?or are they looking at me because they recognize me form the band?
So basically, is it just fame or something else?
And another thing, is possible that a girl who alredy has a boyfriend and is really in love likes another guy?
just as a general rule: girls will always, always scope out cute guys. even if the girl or guy isn't single. so while they could be recognizing you from the band, if they keep looking at you, most likely they think you're hot. and if you like one of the girls, wait until she and her boyfriend break up and then go for her. also, not only do girls dig really cute guys- they dig really cute guys that are in bands. so, yes, they are just scoping out hotties.
I'm 13 and I'm skinny and I have chubby cheeks. Is it possible that I could still have baby fat on my cheeks even though I'm 13? When does baby fat go away?
it eventually goes away. it has for me (i'm 15/f and the "baby face" runs in the family). within the next two years you'll probably start seeing a difference. as you mature, your face grows longer (i think i saw that on csi one time) and it will make your face look skinnier. you aren't through growing yet, and i can almost guarantee that in ten years you will look quite different than you do right now!

My hair is just past shoulderlength and Ive decided that i want to grow it to about the middle of my back.
I was just wondering if anyone knew any general facts (like the average rate of hair growing or how long you reckon it would take) and tips for growing hair quicker and healthier.
Ive heard that horse shampoo is an effective way to grow hair quicker but I want to be certain before I go buy some :-s :-)

the average person's hair grows about half an inch a month. more if you take vitamins regularly. also, getting rid of dead ends every few months speeds it up. so in reality, it is possible for your hair to grow an inch a month if you take multivitamins and get it trimmed every couple of months (but just trim it a little bit to get rid of the ends).

i\'ve heard of these things that are soft in the middle and you bend your hair around it, but i am not sure of the name..but it makes your hair curly when you take it out..in your opinion, do they work well? and if you know what i am talking about (despite the horrible description haha) could you recommend a good brand of it? thanks!
your link is broken :( but are you talking about sponge rollers? yes, they work quite well. all you do is spray gel on your hair (i think) and roll your entire head up in them, sleep in them (or leave them in for a few hours) and take them out. voila! you have curls. i'm not quite sure of a brand off the top of my head, but they have them at drugstores and such for cheap. hope that's what you were talking about.
hey i have a pink razor cell phone from verizon wireless, and i was wondering something about it.
well you know how on cell phones they have different letters on the same button, like thers mno on one button? well usually if you wana type m after o, then instead of pressing o and waiting for the thing to go to the next space, you press the right arrow key after you press o, and it goes quickly to the next space and you just press m.
well my razor phone doesnt do that, and if i press the right arrow key, then it like does tab and skips a couple of spaces.
is ther any other key than the right arrow key that will go to the next space on the razor cell phone?
i have my silver razr (cingular) sitting here in my lap. i just tried out all the different predictive text/nonpredictive text settings and never seemed to have the right arrow problem. in fact, i use the right arrow all the time. i'm thinking that it could be the pink razr software because the different phones have like, different settings and stuff. i'm not sure if you can change that, but you might want to look through all your settings options to see if there's a message setting you can change. if not, i would call motorola and see about it. or you can take it to the verizon store. otherwise, there's not much you can do about it, unless the phone is messed up, in which case they'll give you a new one under warranty.
On Monday Im going to go to this guys house with my friend and his friend. He's really into my friend and when we all hang out, he has his arm around her and stuff..so my question is what are FUN things to do with 2 boys and 2 girls at someones house? I dont want it to be awkward/boring..Play Games? Anything is appreciated.
you could watch movies, play board games, play games like "truth or dare" or "i've never..." (or "have you ever..."), you could go to a park or something, go swimming if they have a pool, play "spin the bottle" (just kidding), go mini-golfing, take pictures, vandalize something, climb on the roof, terrorize the neighbors, make home videos, etc.! i'm sure you'll have fun. :)
my best friend gets rly jealous when guys think im hott. sometimes, she even tries to stop me from evr talking to them cuz shes jealous that they dont think shes hott, and she gets mad at me. One time online we were talkin to this guy we saw that day, and he thought i was hott, and my friend got mad and was like wouldnt let me see what she was sayin to him, and then she got kinda mad when he asked for my sn. wat should i do? i hate when shes mad at me, its really annoying.
that's her problem and not yours. she's probably just jealous. talk to her about it, tell her to quit. she'll get over it eventually. she's being dumb about it because best friends are supposed to support each other with that kind of stuff, you know? hopefully she'll find a guy she likes and she'll quit being so obsessed with your love life. until then, confront her about it and tell her to stop because it's annoying.
