the line between friendship and like/love

Question Posted Saturday July 29 2006, 5:15 am

i'm confused as to where the line between the signs of friendship and love actually is,so here are a couple of scenarios, please answer according to number.

1)She calls your name all the time, even when you do not cross paths,or when you are not near her.is she just being friendly?or something deeper?

2)she says you look handsome playing the guitar

3)she compliments you on something(e.g drumming),which is good(she's not just exaggerating it to flatter you).Is she just complimenting because i'm really good?or because she likes me?

4)let's say you are famous in a band, and she doesn't know you but only through recognition from your performances,so she tells her friends that you are the singer for the band or she galnces at you.Is is that she likes you or that she just recognizes you as the singer for that band?

5)She asks your number, but doesn't really message you.Is she shy,or does she just wanna be friends?

ooh, this one is easy (i'm 15/f): 1.) she likes you. 2.) she definitely, definitely likes you. that and chicks dig guys that play guitar (myself being one of them). but even though chicks dig guys playing guitar, most of the time we don't openly compliment their radiant hottness. just fyi. 3.) you're good and she likes you. 4.) she has a crush on you. that's why she talks about you to her friends. at least, that's what i do. 5.) ok, she likes you enough to want your number, but is either shy OR doesn't want to look desperate or obvious. dude, she wants to be more than friends. did you get her number? call her up and ask her to hang out. good luck :) oh, by the way, i totally get the musician flattery thing. i play piano, guitar (i actually just started playing with a slide the other day), sax, and mandolin. random, but i get stalkers all the time (and most of them aren't even cute, which sucks beyond belief) so consider yourself lucky that this girl is going out of her way to get your attention :)

hey,
yeah well i do think she likes you but dont put your hopes up well i dont think shell just take your number to stare at it shes probabli being hard to get most girls liked to be felt like the boy is running after them not the other way around..just dont seem to clingy either that might scare her off...ok well bye

well.. i dont really know the girl, but it sounds like she is intereseted... if you want something to be there, flirt with her... if she flirts back most likely she likes you.... next time you talk to her notice her eyes see if she looks at you differently than her friends... start a game of staring at her then looking away when she notices..and see if she plays back or if she is doing it already.... or when you are playing, see if she is looking at you or at your band.
