growing hair

Question Posted Saturday July 29 2006, 3:53 pm

Hey,
My hair is just past shoulderlength and Ive decided that i want to grow it to about the middle of my back.
I was just wondering if anyone knew any general facts (like the average rate of hair growing or how long you reckon it would take) and tips for growing hair quicker and healthier.
Ive heard that horse shampoo is an effective way to grow hair quicker but I want to be certain before I go buy some :-s :-)

ty in advance for any tips you have for me
luv Rachel x

Gelatin makes your hair grow faster. It sounds crazy, I know, but it's a proven fact. So, trying eating jello more often and foods with gelatin. Vitamin E makes your hair and skin healthier, too. If your hair is healthier, it will grow faster. Fish contains vitamin E, so try eating more fish. Some drugstores sell vitamin E pills, too, that will help the health of your hair. If you trim your hair every 6-8 weeks, it will be healthier, easier to maintain, and it will grow faster. It took me about 6 months to grow out my hair, and it was also just past shoulder-length. Now it's really long. So yeah, it might take you a few months, too, to grow out your hair. Just be patient. Hope I helped you out. =)

the average person's hair grows about half an inch a month. more if you take vitamins regularly. also, getting rid of dead ends every few months speeds it up. so in reality, it is possible for your hair to grow an inch a month if you take multivitamins and get it trimmed every couple of months (but just trim it a little bit to get rid of the ends).

well, since you already have some advice on this. i'll just add on, a way to get your hair growing quicker is humidity. when you finish washing your hair and its wet, wrap your hair in a towel nice and tight to trap the water. you can leave it there as long as you like, but humidity makes your hair grow faster. good way to get your hair to grow quicker without spending it on any hair growth products (:
