I'm a grade 10 student, and my favourite class is art. Art is the one class I go to whenever I can (except for when I'm sick) and it's the class I try my hardest in. Except, it seems like it's the class I'm doing the worst in. I'm not good in academics, at all, and art is really the thing I want to be, but I just seem to suck at it. Whenever I'm working on a project, I always try to make it better, and I end up screwing it up real bad. It just seems that everything I like to do, or am interested in, I'm horrible in. But the stuff I'm not interested in, I'm mediocre. I just don't know what to do. I just feel like dropped out of high school--it's SO frustrating! (link)

Just keep on practicing on your art and you'll get better. You might want to start by showing your teacher how much you like his class and he/she might help you out a bit. Besides, your art probably isn't that bad- beauty is in the eye of the beholder, no?

People are just mean sometimes. They could just be kidding, but it's still pretty mean of them. I'd advise to just ignore them. Their meanness will come back to them in the long run.

try selling homemade items at school to your friends and other friendly acquaintences. There's a girl at my school who sells scarves, cookies, and fudge at school and she makes at least 20$ a day.

well i have these two shoes and....one is bigger than the other and my cat seems to like that. so everytime my cat smells my bigger shoe, she goes all crazy and starts scratchin it. my boyfriend thinks it's funny and laughs at me all the time. this makes me want to cry...what should i do? (link)

Go to summer camp, go on a cruise, start working at a place that hires lots of other people your age, etc (anywhere where you can make friends and possibly lovers) Otherwise you're probably going to get yourself hurt chasing after your gay friend.

There is a dance next weekend and the guy i like is going with my "friend" cause my "friend" is a skanky hoe bag slut and asked him even though they dont like achother. So they are going together. Anyways...I want to find some way to make him really attracted to me while at the dance and for him to notice me the most. What can i do to accomplish this?

Okay, I know this guy that I think I like but I'm not sure if he likes me. He's just another guy. He might not realize that he's flirting with you. Some guys just do that w/o realizing it and not caring either. Besides, he sounds unstable and if he flirts with other girls all the time then he's probably not going to be the best bf for you (trust me, I have experience with flirty bfs)

I'm a 16 year old female in high school who likes a guy whos's also in high school. We've talked on the phone and spent a little time together. I thought things were going really well. He never really called me, I mostly called him. For the past 3 days I tried to call and he wouldn't pick up so I left a message telling him to call me back. He never called back and wouldn't pick up when I called from my phone but when I called from a different number he picked up. I asked him if he wanted me to leave me alone and he said no. What do I do? I really like him and I thought he liked me, but now I'm not so sure. What do I do? Do I leave him alone and try to forget about him or do I confront him? If so then what do I say? You should never have to wait for someone in order to get any fun out of your life. Your ex seems to just be holding you back and he's probably peachy keen with his current gf. I would try something new and go out with her nephew. Even if things don't work out between you two, you can still go back waiting for your ex anyways.

Guys like something that they can use or eat right away. This V-day I'm giving chocolates and duct tape to all of my guy friends. (chocolates because everyone loves chocolate and duct tape because... all guys seem to like duct tape for some reason)

ok... i have a best friend who has been bugging me lately... i don't know, she is just annoying... like when i'm not talking to anyone at lunch she goes "are you mad at me?" and i'll be like no and then she'll get all quiet and today i asked her a question and i didn't hear what she said so i was like what? and she replyed in an annoyed voice and i was like sorry i couldn't hear you. and then i didn't wait for her after lunch.. lately she keeps saying rude comments and i can't take... i also feel as if she likes my boyfriend, but i am not sure because she acts like it but when i ask her she says she doesn't. I don't think that you should still be her friend but don't tell her that. Just try avoiding her at school. She doesn't sound like a very great person and I think that she might just be trying to steal your bf and using you just in case you two ever break up. The next time she talks to you try acting a little meaner than you normally do and maybe she'll get the picture.

I'm sorry to say that I don't think that it sounds like a very good idea. Boys are really slow and he might get the wrong idea from the whole depressed act in the morning and the note later in the day (he might think that you're thinking of breaking up with him). I would stick with the traditional happy-go-lucky gift exchanging on Valentine's Day. Still give him the note though, I think that part is really sweet.

i was really good friends with this sophomore named ryan (im a freshman) and we have started talking since the summer. the guy im dating now (kyle) and my friend ryan are best friends. well at least they were. ever since me and kyle have been dating ryan's been a real dick to kyle and telling him that i've been cheating on him n im using (and IM NOT). and ryan keeps telling me that he loves me and that he really cares about me. and just recently he told me that he really likes me. is this just an act of jealousy or does he just want me to go out with him? I think that it's both. Ryan doesn't sound like a very nice person at all, and you should probably try avoiding him as much as possible. He most likely had a crush on you before and when you started dating Kyle, Ryan probably felt betrayed and is trying to break you two up for revenge.

I'm very sorry to hear that someone really close to you passed away, but don't let it get completely to your head. I'm sure that whoever passed away wouldn't have wanted to see you like this. Make sure to express your emotions freely and talk to your friends about how you feel to get anything that might be bothering you off your chest. Crying is okay, too. There are many people who still care for you. Try your best to move on and if you need to, try picking up a new hobby involving meeting new people.

Okay Im friends with this girl, but not that close. I found out from sombody that she cuts herself and gets abused by her dad. I dont know if i believe this but for a fact she scratches her arm and makes it bleed and seems very proud ( with her nails ). Also her dad is strict with her, with school work and all... but a lot of parents are? Is this a bad sign? Any suggestions? thanks (link)

Yes this is a bad sign. I'm almost positive that she's self destructive if what your friend said was true, and it sounds that if things follow this path that she may even become (or already be) suicidal. I'd just make sure that this isn't some rumor that your other friend made up. Take control of the situation and talk to your friend (the one who scratches herslf). Make her listen to what you feel about what she's doing to herself.
If she gets abused by her dad, you shouldn't get involved because it might not be true like you said; however, if you ever start to notice large bruises around her wrists, etc, you should probably tell a guidance couselor or some other adult you know.

I dont know how to explain this but in the left top corner of my computer screen it like.. idk it fades like the color i have a blue background and it fades to a purple it just happaned today and its happaned before and went away when i restarted but not today so whats the deal? how do i fix this?

You might have something magnetic near your computer. Magnets have a tendancy to mess up computer and TV screens by making them turn a purple/blue color near the edges where they are nearest to. It's irreversible so you may consider purchasing a new monitor if it's really bad.
Another reason might be because your computer has a really weird virus. Try re-imaging it (erasing all the stuff on your computer and putting all the important stuff on one disk to save for later) or you could try getting a virus protector. Try the Norton Virus protector as opposed to spyware or adaware (they're viruses).

okay for you older high school students...i`m a freshman in H.S. and i was wondering do you think when you do your eyeshadow you should just find one really good color like a certain shade of bronze that looks really good, or should you wear eyeshadow that matches your clothes? (link)

It depends on what kind of look you're going for. I prefer to stick with a brown color that looks good with anything. Mostely see people using brown or green eyeshadow depending on the colors they're wearing. If they're wearing neon colors, it's best to go with just the black or green eye shadow. Mellow colors look better with brown.
