my friends birthday is coming up and i need some ideas for her birthday present. she is 14/f and LOOOOVES things that are black and white checkered and jsut plain black and white stuff but i have no clue what to get her, help is apprecated, thanks!!
ah, your friend sounds just like me (i love black and white too, but that's because i play piano... haha). anyway, i would get her a black and white picture frame and put pics of y'all together in it. think of what the decor in her room is like (i'm guessing it's black and white) and maybe get her something that would go with her decor in there. picture frames, maybe some candles, or lamps, or maybe even a movie poster of a black and white movie. you could get her black and white vans, or a black and white purse, or black and white jewelry/clothing. maybe you could find a black and white hat box and put different stuff in there, like picture frames and candy and stuff (that's what my best friend did for me on my birthday). i'm sure she'll love anything you give her :)

Okay, so there's this girl I really like (E), and this other girl (B) my best friend likes. My friend really loves B, he's told me a million times, and he's loved her for a really long time. I've loved E for a long time, not as much time as my friend has liked B, but still pretty long. Ever since I told my friend I love E, he's been nicer and nicer to her. Which I wouldn't mind if it was just the friendly type of niceness, but it's not. It's the "gotta crush on ya" type of niceness. I've asked him about this, and he says he's treating her exactly the same as he always has, but I've noticed a difference. I just am really confused. Do friends normally do these kind of things?

no, they don't. if he keeps hitting on your woman, tell him to back off (in private). basically tell him that he's insulting your game. then again, you might be noticing E's relationships with other people because you like her so much. don't get too pissed at your best friend because it seems like he's not trying to do anything wrong. if i were you, i would hang out around E more just to kind of show other guys that you're going after her and they need to stay back. i think you're in the right here, and your friend needs to piss off. flirt with E more and your friend will get the message, hopefully. good luck.
What exactly does "crunk" mean?
I assume it means getting drunk, or high...but I am really not sure.

technically it means "crazy drunk" but it can mean getting drunk, high, or whatever. it can even mean just having a good time even if you're not doing anything illegal or whatever. like, if you say, "that party was crunk" that doesn't mean that you got drunk/high and passed out, it just means that you had a good time. check urbandictionary.com because they have a lot of definitions for this one. there's a drink called "crunk juice" and the name basically means party juice or whatever.
How do you clear the memory card? I tried to take a picture, and the screen went blue, and it said "the memory card is full." I uploaded pics from the camera on the computer, but it still said that.
you have to delete the pictures off the camera. when you upload the pics to your computer, you're just making copies of them to put on your pc. the pictures are still on the camera though, so after you put them on the computer you need to delete the pictures off the camera. i also have a kodak camera, and the way to do this is go to "review" and then once you're viewing a picture, press "delete" and it will give you the option to "delete all." make sure the pics are on the computer and then choose "delete all" and it will clear your memory card.

one thing that would make it really classy is if you had "fake cocktails" (i saw this on my super sweet sixteen on mtv) and you can hire people to make drinks that look like martinis or whatever, but don't actually have any alcohol in them. since your theme is black and white socialite (i love this theme, by the way) you could decorate by putting up black and white posters and stuff. these are fairly cheap, and the ones of audrey hepburn are gorgeous. as for attire, you might want to do cocktail attire because that seems kind of fitting to me. for party favors you could give the girls fake pearl necklaces :) that sounds fun to me. i hope your party goes swimmingly!

old navy has them every year, i believe. delia's has pea coats, and i'm pretty sure that american eagle has pea coats. they probably won't have them for sale yet because it's not even fall yet. urban outfitters might have some. l.l. bean has had pea coats in the past.

ok so Party A:: the girls whos throwin it i mean we both know each other but weve never talked to each other but shes 2 of my other friend's friend too. i kno a buncha people that are going to this, its gonna be like one of those big blow out my-super-sweet-16 kinda deals. i got invited to this one first. the down side is i need a semi-formal dress haha
Party B:: one of my friends from last semester is havin it. its a pool party and i only kno like 3 people that are goin. i wasnt invited to this one till i had pretty much already decided i was goin to the 1st one [although i hadnt RSVP'd or told anyone i was goin]. but the thing is this girl is actually one of my friends from last yr although i havent seen her at all this yr. i dont wanna upset them by goin to the 1st party esp. since a lotta ppl dont like the girl whos havin the 1st party [personally i dont have anything against her i dont see why a lotta ppl are like 'dont go to hers' and stuff]
so basically id kinda rather go to the 1st party but the thing is i dont wanna let my friends down, + id have to go buy a dress anyway.

i think you should choose party a because you were invited to it first and you would probably have more fun. if the party times are the exact same, then i'd say go with party a. but if they overlap, i would go to party a first and if it sucks then go to party b. because you would have an excuse to leave party a to go to party b because it sounds like you're better friends with the person that's throwing party b. but if you went to party b first, you would have no excuse to go to party a. if you haven't already told people that you're going to party b, then i'd go to party a. have fun!

yes, generally. i'm a freshman this year and i've already met a whole lot of people just from band camp and stuff.

girls kind of differ on this. personally, i prefer the clean-cut to kind of shaggy look. if i were you i'd try long hair out for a while. after all, it's your hair. if it doesn't work for you or if you don't like it then you can always get it cut back to the way it was. but girls have a lot of different opinions on hair. i'd say that most girls like shaggy hair best, but whatever you like is what matters. it kind of depends on what you look like with whatever length of hair. some guys look great with long hair, some guys don't look so great. try it out and see :)
okay so i heard that celery has negative calories. is this really true? and if it is what exactly are negative calories and do you know any more foods that have them. thanks
other people have explained the negative calories thing, but another food that has no calories is an apple. however, apples have a lot of sugar.

american eagle has lots of non-holey jeans for like 30 bucks. and they last for a really long time. also, abercrombie jeans last for a really long time BUT i don't know if they make any jeans that don't have holes. you can probably check on their website.
I play Dance Dance Revolution and I was wondering about how many calories I should try to burn daily? I am 14 and a Male, 5 feet, 4 inches, and I weigh 145 pounds. So far I have managed to burn 500 calories well playing on workout mode (I own MAX version) I was also wondering how accurate the calorie counter is?
the calorie counter is fairly accurate because you have to put in your weight. i can normally burn about 10 calories in a minute because i play on like the highest level. as for the amount of calories you should burn daily, 3500 calories = 1 pound. i'm not saying that you should burn 3500 calories a day because that would be dangerous, but that should give you an idea based on whatever goal you have set. i just wouldn't go over 500 a day, personally.
Well, school starts tomorrow for me. & My boyfriend promised that before I started work at eleven, he'd take me out for breakfast today, since it'd probably be a while before we saw each other again, since we'll both be going to different schools. ]: I was soo excited, I woke up at 7 to make sure he was awake, but he told me that he was going to go back to sleep because he had a big migraine, I didn't think it was a problem, because we'd still have a lot of time to go out. But, at 8 I called him, because we said we'd both set our alarms, & he didn't wake up, so I tried calling like three times, but then stopped because I didn't want him to think I was a "clingy girlfriend" he always calls me that.
Anyways, I called at like nine to see what was up & he woke up, and asked me what time it was & I told him it was 9 & he apologized, and I told him I was really upset because now I'm not going to see him before school starts, which I'm really nervous about. & It just fucking pisses me off because he didn't put ANY effort into this whatsoever.
What I'm also SO pissed about is that, I'm going to have to call my mom to get out of work [which is impossible] to drive me to work, since I can't drive yet. He knows my mom is abusive, & she's always mad about everything I do, but about this she's going to be fucking pissed bc I said I had a ride, & now I don't anymore, because he's a fucking moron.
Hah, sorry needed to vent. Anyways, I'm really nervous to call my mom now because I know she'll probably say some rude things & hit me when she gets home, but I just don't even know what to do about my boyfriend, like.. should I just wait for him to call me? Or what? I don't even know..

i think that maybe you should wait a while before you call/see your boyfriend again, and then after a few days call him and see if y'all can hang out or whatever to get everything straight. as for your mom, i'd tell a responsible adult... teachers, neighbors, friends' parents, whoever. you could even call the cops because that is illegal to abuse your kids. and as for your ride to work, try calling up a friend, or a friend's parent. i'm sure they would be happy to get you to work on time. you could even ask a neighbor. if all else fails, call your mom and if she gets really mad and abuses you then call the cops.

i go to xanga, myspace, advicenators, facebook, diaryland, gmail, and i google stuff sometimes. i also go to msnbc.com and read news and play games and stuff. i don't usually spend a lot of time on the computer, though. when i have projects for school i look for pictures and info on google. i also like to look at clothing stores, like abercrombie, american eagle, wet seal, delia's, urban outfitters, or whatever i feel like :)

they blow dry it. like, sometimes you can get your hair cut and they don't dry it and you walk out of the salon with wet hair. but if you ask them to dry it, that's getting your hair blown out.

I recently bought some clothes from the Hollister at my mall. I am a 17 year old boy and think the clothes are nice.
When I got home and showed my 13 year old brother the clothes I got (a polo and a sweatshirt) he started screaming at me and said that only posers and gays were Hollister.
I know quite a few people don't like Hollister and quite a few people do.
I am wondering what people think of boys who wear Hollister?
i think that boys who wear clothes from hollister are normal. the thing is, your brother, at 13, is probably conscious of what people think of other people and feels that he needs to alert you to this. in other words, people that call other people posers and gay just because they wear a certain type of clothing are morons. a lot of my guy friends wear clothes from hollister and they're quite fashionable. a lot of skaters and stuff get really pissy about clothing from stores like hollister, but once again, they are morons for judging people by appearance.
For Homecoming, do you get a long dress or a shorter dress? Is it really fancy, like should I buy a facy dress?
homecoming at my school is normally semi-formal. however, if you're in the homecoming court (duchess, queen, whatever) then you wear a formal dress (but not something outrageous like a prom dress, just a dress that comes below the knees and is really pretty). your dress should probably be cocktail or semi-formal because it's not supposed to be as fancy as a prom dress.
