next year for the Musical Theatre Troupe club in my middle school (basically, broadway) we're doing Schoolhouse Rock. I've seen a little of that like in math when I was younger.. but I can't imagine us doing it as the school musical. by the way i'm in 8th grade this year. I want to know.. how do I audition for it? like what songs would be best to sing? I know auditions are months away, but I like to be prepared in the long run. And what parts are the best to play and stuff? I really don't know, and I can't buy the film either. And for the best parts, like GIRL parts. lol i can't play a guy.
I kinda like that song "Sufferin till sufferage" but I dunno if I should sing that? what songs would shine my voice enough so my music teacher would pick me? im black.. and I sing alto in chorus. well...school house rock is a fun production to do...i saw it done at my cousins school. But i really am just wondering..doesn't the director of the musical give you stuff to act and a song to sing?? if not..then pick what song you like the best and you know the most of when the time comes. i know it is nerve reaking because i have done it but don't worry and just pick a easy song that you can pronouse the words good and you know how it goes..it doesn't nessesarily have to be from the movie/productioin.. but try your best and good luck!!

ok so last summer i met a new friend. turns out her brother was a guy that i used to go to middle school with. so i went to a party nd he was there nd we were like staring at eachother at all times. so i started dancing with a few guys and he noticed and started dancing with some girls. a while after i noticed he was coming my way i was sitting by the way, then once he was close i stood up and walked away i have no idea why i did this but yeah i seemed like a totoal retart. a few days after he imed me i guess his sister gave me my sn. we bacame real good friends, after some time we like had nothing to talk about nd our conversations were akward. i told his sister that i liked him alot nd yes she went and told him after that things got even more weird because i was too shy to even say hi. so we slowly stopped talking after a while at all. its like we dont even know eachother. ok so one day he asked me to go to this party his friends were having and i couldnt go because my mom wouldnt let me 4 sum reason. but i told him i had other plans that night. and said "im not gonna let down a real friend for someone whos temporary". = [ now i regret that. ok so that day he hooked up with some girl and they've been on and off now he says he loves her but i really dont think so i juss think he says it because she says she loves him. and one day i was walking down his block and they were both their i hadnt noticed they were their till i was really close and i noticed he started makeing out with her so i would be jealous. so i dont know should i juss let him go out of my life or is their still a posibility he still likes me? He probally is just going out with this girl to make you jealous but i am not sure..i mean..he might be telling the truth but he probally isn't. it is hard to tell. But if you like him then don't let go at least don't forget bout him..there is still a chance for you and if he doesn't like you then you can be friends..it is beter then just letting him go and feel bad that you never talk to him anymore..so i suggest that you should go up to him and start a conversation and see where that leads you...if it is the same as it is now then there is no chance but if he talks back and the conversation is goign good then you can start by being friends and whatever happens after that...it is for you to decide but don't forget bout him and push him out of your life...it isn't the right thing..just take it slow and hopefully it all works out..

I can't get a boyfriend. Well, I can. I get hit on almost every day. But no one seems good enough. And there's no one that I like. I have to resort to making up fake boyfriends just so people won't think I'm a Lesbian. Right now, I'm in high school. So I was just wondering, how important is it to have a boyfriend in high school? Is it better to wait until college to look for someone? Or am I completely weird and is finding the right guy hopeless? (link)

ok..you shouldn't have to make up stuff so people won't think that about you...i mean..if they do think that about you, then they shouldnl't be the people that you hang out with. i have never had a boyfriend and i am a sophomore in high school..i mean it isn't that important as long as you are happy with your self and who you hang out with. i have been having a fun time without a boyfriend.i know it would be nice to have one but u jsut got to let it happen naturally. i mean if a guy likes you and asks you out then go for it but don't push stuff..it will happen when it does and when it does...treasure the moment...good luck

Last night I went to forever 21 with my friend & we got outfits for the first day of school. I guess you can say we have a sense of style, but the thing is the kids at my school don't. I decided to get a black shirt dress that has thick straps & goes a bit above my knees. I am going to wear jeans underneath [since it's a shirt dress] & a gray cardigan on top that goes to about my ribs. I was going to do my hair straight & long & then have a few front pieces pulled back in bobby pins. Does this sound cute or too much?? People always wear jeans & a tshirt, but I love fashion & I've seen this outfit before in magazines. I just don't want people thinking "wow what is she wearing??" when in reality a lot of girls do wear this. Any ideas/opinions?? Thanks! (link)

you know what...i think you should wear whatever you want...why should it matter what people think about you..i think you shoule just be yourself and not let it matter. i like the outfit and think it is a nice thing to wear but it doesn't matter you should wear what ou like and what you are comfortable in...

ive been bestfriends with this kid for awhile and about 2 months ago we started going out and about a week ago i broke up with him and he got pissed and told me he would never be my friend or talk to me again so teh next day i gologized and we started going back out but then i hung out with him and i realized that i actually dont like him and i want to be single so how do i make him brake up with me or do something so that we stop going out and still friends!?

why don't you just tell him that you would rather be friends because you feel more comfortable that way...i mean if he likes you then he will understand and you never know...maybe he might be feeling the same thing..so give it a try and just tell him the truth.

i went onto the walmart website and i am almost posotive(sp) that you can download it there...it is called "dig it" and it cost 88 cents. i found it on the holes soundtrack and i think you can download just the song instead of buying the whole cd.

My best guy friend has sort of stopped talking to me directly and only like saying "hi". Some times he doesn't even say "hi" for days/weeks on end. I don't know what to do. He won't answer me. and tries to avoid me. I wonder if it was because i started to hang out with another guy that i really like and kinda flirt w/ this other guy alot. Could that be why? You could just call him and ask what is going on..or e-mail or something and say tha you are sorry for what ever you did even though you dont' know what and tha you want to know what has been goign on..

I am 16 and my family consists of 5 other people. My siblings are really messy and our apartment is always disgusting. I clean a lot, but it doesn't make much of a difference. I talk to my parents about it, but they don't do anything about it. What can I do? (link)

why don't you just talk to your siblings...the people that make the mess to try and see if they can be a little more respectful and clean up or try not to make as much of a mess..

Sorry this is long but okay I like this guy and I didn't want anyone to know.By the way I'm in 8th grade. Only my best friend knew but then a 7th grader that we hung out with found out and we also found out she wasn't very trustworthy. We were at camp when all this happened though. We were gone for a week. Okay well she told this other 8th grade girl who we liked. And I was upset. Then I guess the word got out somewhere along there and then the guy I liked friend found out and came up to me and said I know who you like and he knows it too. I was like sure whatever, I thought he was just joking around. Then he said did I mention it was 'the guy I liked name'. And he was bugging me about it and he said if I keep staring a picture would last longer. I don't know what to do but I keep telling him I don't like him. Now I got off the phone with a friend and I can't trust her very much and she doesn't know who I like. She told me that they came up to her and asked if I liked him. I don't know whether to believe her or not but I think he knows that I do like him. I really need help how to deal with this. What to say to them and what to do and what not to do.
Oh some extra stuff is that I don't see him often usually twice a week since we go to the same church not school. And sometimes activities that we have. But we were at camp for a week too. (link)

Well it is a guy..it is ok..that has happened to me a lot and i just ignore it..i mean..it isn't like it is a bad thing that he found out. if anything it is good because if he likes you back he might ask you out. and about the otehr kids.. don't worry bout them..just play along and see where that leads you.

I know this sounds corny and pathetic.
I'm 16/F. I've known this guy since 7th grade, I'm going into 11th this year. We've always had this vibe between us, he would constantly flirt tease me, and he just gives me the signs that he likes me. But he never asked me out, I'm starting a job soon and he works there too, and I'm hoping, how do I show him I still like him, or that I like him, because I can be cold sometimes, because i'm weird liek that. What specific things really show a guy you care & like them?
The really corny part is, he makes me so nervous, and I dont get nervous around guys, he makes me stomache all blahfladjfd, and he is the only guy I've liked, and the reason I've liked him so long, is because he's showing me hope that something could happen. If I was positive nothing would happen, then I would stop liking him.
And also, last year we had like no classes together, but we sat by each other in seminar, and thats when we kinda talked, and flirted.

something that wuld show a guy that you like them is to just be there for them when they need someone to talk to or be around. what you could do is tell him how you really feel or tell him that he is sending you signs that you don't understand. Really all you have to do is follow what your heart is telling you to do..tell him or not, ask him or let it be...u decide.

hugs are very special to me and i think they are a sign of frendship. but when friends give you a tight hug...it means to me...that they like you more then a friend. that moment is kind of weird but don't push them away..just act as normal as posible. if they lkike you it is no big deal just try to ignore it and if you like them back then give them a chance. hopefully i was helpful??

Long story short: One of my friends from grade school live with me and I really hate it. I had no choice in letting her move in, this was all done by my mother and sister. And don't get me wrong, I understand the fact that she doesn't exactly have the best home life, but she takes advantage of our family, our money, everything. Her name is Katie.
I have this best friend Samantha who knows that Katie is doing this to our family. Samantha was there for me a lot, I could cry it out and tell her how much Katie annoyed me and she understood.
But now it's different. Katie and Samantha have been hanging out and now Samantha feels bad for her . So now when I need to talk, I can't because the last time I did she was mad at told everyone that I'm mean to Katie!
So last night Samantha was talking bad on Katie and I was surprised. But I didn't say anything except nod my head and was totally confused.
then today she called my phone, asked for Katie, and invited HER to hang out. I'm really upset because she was just saying horrible things about her last night and now she wants to act like her friend?
So my question is:
1. Is Samantha a true friend? (be honest please)

i would say that she isn't being a true friend. i would say a true freind is someone you can count on and someone that always tells the truth. i would feel so hurt if my friend turned there back on me and that is not what friends do..hopefully this helps and good luck to you on which ever side you chose.

hey..i am fat too, but there is one thing that helps me.. i do sit-ups and it makes ur stomach smaller but you have to keep doing it or it all comes back. You can also eat healthy foods like fruits and vegtables. try to stick with healthier foods and see if that makes a difference for you. hopefully this helps!!
