i'm a little unsure about the category but i guess it doesn't matter

i have a school dance coming up in a few days and i am supposed to go with this girl. i didnt really ask her but we kind of agreed to go together about three weeks ago. i dont really like her as more than a friend but i know that she likes me. i really wanted a date to the dance even if it was just as friends and i knew that she liked me so i figured she would say yes. now theres about 3 days left until the dance and i decided that i dont want to have a date anymore. i want to go alone so that there is no pressure to hang out with this girl but its too late to say i dont wanna go with her anymore. she offered to not go together but i couldnt do that because i thought that would be pretty mean. well i told one of her friends about how i didnt want a date and more and she promised not to tell anyone about it. but her friend broke the promise and told her. now things are awkward between us. i dont know what to do. i feel so stressed out about this. please help.

Tell her taht you'd just rather go alone and then if she's there you'll dance with her (you better anyway!) then it would probabally be best if you told her that you only like her as a friend so she doen't get hurt.

I was wondering if anyone knew what the slang phrase "mow my lawn" means. One of my guy friends told me that on his knees begging & I can't figure out what it means. Is it like guy code for something? I'm very confused!

I get embarassed so easily!! I can't help it. Then I think over about what I did all night and I'm even more embarassed!! HOw can I stop this??

Try to forget about it, most people really don't care enough about your mistakes to treat you any differently.(unless they're jerks!) I mean, if you see somone else do somthing embarassing how long does it take for you to forget about it? Minutes, right?
Also to avoid being embarassed concentrate on what you're doing or saying and maybe if you're head isn't in space you won't mess up.

And you could pray about it....just a thought!

My brother's girlfriend is coming with my family and I to California for a week. She's 16 and will be sharing a room with me for 7 days. Im only 13 and me and her are kinda close but not that close. So how do I entertain a 16 yr old for a weeK? Like at night what do we talk about .. etc. I'll rate!

Just be yourself, talk about stuff you did that day, or your brother, or clothes or whatever. Usually girls WILL FIND somthing to talk about if they're in the same room. hehe.

hey i just was wondering whats a good site to get your poems published, Somthing where you dont habe to pay but doesnt have some sort of scam with it. or like a poetry contest.

I haven't found a good site for publishing yet but Poetry.com is great for entering in poetry contests and they do publish your poems on their website -as many as you want! :P Also there is another cool featurethat's called a poetry bash, check it out when you get there!

No, I wouldn't say "boobs" are impotant as you think. My parents are really strict and I wear nothing low cut or too tight and I have a boyfriend! To be honest I think I'd rather have a boy wholiked me for who I am, not how easy I look, anyway!

Another thing, not to sound prude, modestyis a GOOD thing!

i am 14, 5 foot and i weigh like 98 pounds...

when i get my period i gain weight... i use to be 95 pouunds and it seemed like i gained some over night!

well does drinking green tea and water help you loose weight? i know green tea is suppose to speed up ur matabolism. Would it make me really feel full before eating?

hmm...I think that at your age height and weight you don't really need too wory about losing. You're probabally fine just the way you are.

Hey! Im only 13 yr's old..my mom messed up in the past and its taking college classes to get a good job, and my dad has a disease and so he cant work that often. My parents are also divorced...so My family doesnt have to much money. It sux having to much money..so I was wondering, are there ne jobs out there for 13 yr olds ( I am mature ) besides babysitting?

Okay, this seems to be my answer to all problems but a paper route works great, as long as thy don't pay hourly thn you get robbed, but I have one that makes 37$ a week and it's just 60 papers cuz i'm lazy. :)

Also i think it's wonderful that you're trying to help. I originally got mine to pay for part of my super-high tuition at catholic highschool.

It all depends on where you live, most buisnesses don't ire until you're at least 15 if not 15. I'm 14 and I have a job at a local amusement park and I pass papers which makes supringly good money. There is also a local gun club where thhey hire as young as 13 to keep score for the shooters, so you really just have to look or ask around. If all else fails you coul go with the ld stand-by - lemonade stand! jk.

please help, there is this girl in my class who i like alot but some stupid sixth graders who for some reason hate 7th graders are threatining to tell. this would be ok with this exept that my friend likes her and is her boyfriend. i dont want this to spread out because my friend will never talk to me again. wait a week or two to see if she is really losing intrest or not. If she is ask your friend about it and see what he thinks. If he doesn't car go ahead and ask her out but if he cares, trust me, it's better to let a 7th grade crush slip by than to lose a good freind that you can grow up with. I like this guy, he's a senior, I'm a freshman. We don't share any usual friends or anything, and we really only talk at school unless i see him at his job or something, and he's usually busy there. There may be some attraction there, but I would like to take our relationship to the next level, by that I mean, get to know him better, perhaps a relationship somewhere down the line. How do I talk to him more and get to know him better considering the circumstances. We're really really different. Please Help!

Hmm...for this one i'm going to have to suggest to let it go. You said he's a senior and that makes 18 or almost 18 and once he's legal and your oh-so-far-from-legal things might get rocky. It might be better off if you two were just friends.

Hmm....it all depends on where you live. I'm 14 and I have a summer job at the local Amusement park. ( I Wipe tables but it's a start!) I also have a paper route which makes 37$ a week...considering that i don't know your circumstances or options i'd suggest that you look in the paper or ask around.

im so mad that school yr is over and ima miss all my friends especially this one boy i liked all yr. i didnt get his number i think i got a way to find it out. but im so scared though. i really love this guy and ima be thinking about him this whole summer and i think it might be love. i dont want to use the "l" word but i cant help it. i mean i see things in him that i dont see in most guys. even though he does act like guys act--you know how they are--but i really feel connected to this guy. what should i do? just stare at his picture for the rest of the summer or do something about. becuz im not the bravest person in the world, and i am so scared. can somebody help me becuz my friends don't understand and nobody does. but i dont know if he feels the same way. i guess you can tell by the look in his eyes, but all i see in him is something different. he probably wont break my heart. but im not sure. i cant look into his eyes because i wont see him and its just so crazy. can somebody just help me.
