My father is the closest person outside of my house family to me. I love him very much but all of a sudden he has developed a mental illness and doesn't remember me. Sometimes when I walk into the room to visit him he shouts things like "Killer!" and "Why did you have to hurt my leg Barbara?" although that is not at all my name. I'm not sure if there is a way to help him remember me, but it's hard to cope with the pain of him thinking that I have hurt him in the past. What should I do? (link)

i'm sorry that this kind of thing happened to you and your grandfather. my grandfather had ahltimers (spelt incredibly wrong) and it sounds very similar to what your grandfather is going through.
you just have to know that he loves you, because when he did/does remember you, he knows he's your grandfather and that you mean everything to him, like he means the world to you. i know it hurts a lot, i really do, but you know that there were better times when he was (excuse the wording but) lucid.
its always very very tough when a loved one doesn't remember who you are. its the worst thing in the world. just remember the good times, and try and tell him that you love him every time you visit him. try and tell him about those memories you have. maybe (and i mean with a miracle maybe) he will remember one of those times too. sometimes, sufferers have moments where everything is clear to them again. those moments are precious and few, but they do exsist.
well you know you're not barbara, so some one named barbara caused him pain. it wasn't you, and some day, maybe he'll realize that you're not barbara and you are *your name.* you know he loves you, he just doesn't remember.

Well, today my mom had asked me to make dinner and I did because I love to cook. When she got home she said "I hope your father doesn't show up late so he can eat some dinner." I said, Oh, he's going out to dinner with some of his coworkers remember? and she said that she had no clue what I was talking about. Basically, my dad didn't tell her anything about the dinner so she's pissed. She always gets really pissed off at him because she says that they don't communicate. Well, she says that he doesn't communicate with her. I'm really scared that my parents might get a divorce. I love both of my parents and I hate to see them argue and the thought of them getting a divorce scares me. There are so many kids in my school who's parents are divorced and they look at me like I'm crazy when they ask me "So, do you live with your mom or your dad?" and I respond with, "Both". This is hard for me, I don't want my family to be torn apart! What should I do? (link)

ok, sometimes parents need to vent. thats probably why your mom says stuff like that. if she's been with him 21 years, i strongly doubt she's going to leave him now. sometimes my mom freaks out too, and i'm nearly convinced they'll get a divorce some day, but what can we--their children do? its really just up to your parents to maintain their relationship. like i know my parents will at least wait for my sister and i to graduate from college and then if they feel the need too, they will spilt up. i'm sure your mom will wait too, if thye're going to get a devorce.
yeah, i wouldn't worry too much. eh, maybe she just has her period or something, or she's pms or hey, it could even be metopose. she could be all pissy because of hormons and not your dad, but just be taking it out on him.

For me my love life sucks. I have the most amazing friends, but i still wish I had someone to actually love.
My problem is that i dont know how to really get a guys attention. I am always told to be myself, and thats what guyslove the most. But, I do just that, and I seem to not be getting any feedback. Do I need to take my 'flirting level' up a bit? pleeease help me!!

ok welll im for bush and this one group of my friends are completely anti-bush. and whenever they start talking about the election they totally bash bush in front of my face. they say mean things about him that arnt true. and it really bothers me.....and like i feel like there almost attacking me whenever i tell them that bush was a good leader...what do i do? I wasn't sure what category to put this under by recently my girlfriend / best friend and I just lost our virginity to each other. It was amazing. But then the next night, I get a phone call from her brother saying to go the hospital because my girlfriend's just been raped...by her father. I didn't know what to do, so i just froze and went after her father. I beat the crap out of him and broke my hand. I know that wasn't smart but what he did to her was less smart. He's been abusing her since about the age of 4, I was one of the few people who knew this. She didn't want ANYONE telling the police because her father threatened her. And she didn't want to run away and leave her little sister with her father for fear he might hurt her too.
Well anyway, back on topic, her father went to jail and everyone testified against him. So he'll be in there for a LONG time. My problem is, my girlfriend is still in shock over this. We tried to have sex a few weeks later but she was so scared and still thinks about the rape. I'm not frustrated about the no-sex part AT ALL believe me. But what I'm wondering is if there's anything I can do for her to make her get over this. I want her to be happy again. I love her with all my heart and hate seeing her like this.

ok, well stop having sex with her first of all. thats just not going to help the problem at all what so ever in the history of helping out a rape victem. She's going to be scared for a very very long time. please don't break up with her, that would be earth shattering for her.
tell her you love her with all your heart. she's going to definately want to hear that. don't do anything sexual, but letting her cry on your shoulder and hugging is probably as far as you should go for a while. You NEED to be there for her, which i'm sure you already are. let her call you at all hours so on and so forth.
maybe even taking her to therapy might help her. like a school counciler or something. any one. she might need help after something as tramatic as that.
you're not responcible, though i understand why you would feel that way. you are not the one who raped her, so you can't be responcible. the only person who is responcible is her father.

yes. it works great. it smells horrible, but they make some no touch stuff that works well, but doesn't smell so bad. it washes off easier too.

about love: love can happen at first site, or after 90 years of living together. it can happen with out knowing his name, it can happen after knowing him for ever. love knows no age, know sex, no religion, no race or anything like that. love is unpredictable and private. perhaps that whole wanting to love you--not privately, but not infront of everyone (because it can get annoying seeing your best friend on top of there significant other).
Watch a scary movie with him, and act (or be) really scared, so he'll want to hold you in that whole masculine protective thing. act cold more often if you ned too.

Ok, This may be long but it is really important and i need some other opinions and ideas ::::
Ok, at school this past thursday, i lost my phone during 4th period. I found out this boy had taken it and after school he had put it on top of the lockers. Do you have ANY ideas for finding a stolen phone, because I checked where he said he had put it and it wasn't there so obviously someone has it. Here are a few of my ideas ::;
1) Put the description with a reward on the announcements
2) Turn my service back on (i turned it off when i lost it) and wait for a day or two, and then see where the calls were made.

turn ur service back on and call it yourself. if some one answers, ask them who they are, and to give back your phone. if not, wait for after school and try listening for your ring.
