he wants to please me.. but he doesnt want to recieve from me. he is waaayyy to nice (opens MY car door when I drive)... we try to do stuff physically and he always is giving to me (without me even asking). but when i try to give to him, he will stop me and say that he doesnt need that from me... just being with him makes him happy. i feel like he's not attracted to me or something (im pretty good looking as he says), but he swears he is & emotionally i know he's attracted to me. even with intercourse he will get soft & have to stop. is he gay because he doesnt want anything from me?! (i know that NO guy would pass up an offer by a girl). am i not pleasing him? i dont know what to think or do!! (link)
|
Think about your question.
You're asking if a guy who pleases a girl is gay. Does that make sense..at all? Gay guys like to give pleasure to men, and unless I'm mistaken, you aren't a man.
Your boyfriend just sounds insecure. He may think that you aren't attracted to his body or that he's too dirty or you wouldn't enjoy it or something.
So no. He is not gay.
I would like to add that your statement "i know that NO guy would pass up an offer by a girl" is very stereotypical and untrue. Please don't make such comments on something so insulting.

Which is better, an Ipod video or Ipod nano?
I have the choice of which one I want to get as my xmas gift. I know Ipod video has alot more memory but aside from memory size, which is more convinient for me? 16/f btw (link)
|
Here's what I think.
iPod videos are more expensive. They can hold a great number of songs. You can watch movies, shows, and music videoes, and you can also buy games
iPod nanos are less expensive. They hold a lot of songs, but not as many as the iPod video
If you are only interested in listening to music, I would go with the iPod nano. But if you want to be able to listen to thousands of songs, or if you're interested in movies, then get the iPod video.

where do you download Itunes onto your computer? Do you need to have software or go to a website? I already have an IPOD, but I got a new computer and Im not sure how to get Itunes on this computer. Thanks. (link)
|
Okay, the other person misread your question.
You have to go to the Apple website (www.apple.com). Then along the top of the website, there are tabs. Click on the tab that says "iPod + iTunes".
Scroll down a little bit. Now, on the right side of the site, "iTunes 7" is in bold. Above that, there's a "FREE DOWNLOAD" sign. Click on it.
They'll ask you for your e-mail address and whether you have a Mac or Windows computer.

this isn't a question, it's a request-but please don't delete it.
Can people please stop finishing every answer with "hope i helped" obviously you hope you helped, and whether you say that or not doesn't change whether you actually DID help. please, for everyones sake just answer the question! (link)

I agree with you. I admit that I have used that phrase in the past, but those three words have become meaningless simply because they are overused. =/

Okay I am currently attending school and work at boston market about 30 hours a week 6.25 a hour. But I owe so much money that is not even covering it. What should I do I need like more money and I can't work a 2nd job because I have school. I have tried so many things to do to get more money what should I do? (link)
|
You don't have many options. But here are some that you do have:
1) Take less classes at a time so you can work more hours
2) Work more hours and risk getting bad grades
3) Find a better paying job
I hope you make more money. =]

well, right now I'm a junior.
I have no idea what I want to do with my life.
What I do know is, that I do want to do something dealing with music!
(Not actually performing it, however)
Anyone who works with a record (FBR) (TRUSTKILLS) or anything like that, please help!
?I don't know what college to go to, or what classes to take that would help me be part of the music industry, any help?
Please. (link)
|
There are a lot of programs in college for people who want to be involved with music, but aren't interested in performing.
For example, there is a major for Music History and Literature, if you are interested in that. Or, if you're interested in the business side of music, there are programs for Music Management and Merchandising.
I recommend using collegeboard.com. If you go there, click on "Matchmaker" on the left. It gives you a list of colleges based on location, size, costs, and majors.

Are guys willing to have sex with anyone thats a girl, or do they have to be attracted ?
Just wondering. (link)
|
Neither. And it is very stereotypical to think that guys just LOVE sex. That is very untrue. A lot of guys do enjoy it, but do all of them? Uhm, no.
I'm a guy. I would not have sex with anyone who is a girl. I would not have sex with any attractive girl.
I would only have sex with a girl who loves me enough to marry me.
But that's just me.

Anytime there's a project that I'm working on for school, I get so stressed out about it until I'm done. It takes me longer than usual to go to sleep, the littlest things irritate me, I get in horrible moods, if I mess up just a little bit I feel like I'm about to cry, and things along the lines of that. If I'm asleep and I suddenly remember that I forgot to do something (It can be anything! It doens't matter.), I can't sleep for the rest of the night because I'm worrying about it. It's just things like that and I get very stressed out about it. Is there something that you can do to hadle it or something you can take to relieve stress? (link)
|
I don't know anyone who has never been stressed. The bad thing about stress is that it will always be there. If you have a project, interview, meeting, party, test, date, or anything else, there will be stress. The important thing is to handle it well.
In order to handle stress, first look at your project and examine how truly important it is. In the grand scheme of things, you will hopefully notice that it means almost nothing. You may ace the project, you may fail it, but regardless, it won't matter 10 years from now. It won't matter 10 months from now either.

Oh my goodness.
Please, for goodness sake, use another website. This is not dictionary.com, urbandictionary.com, or wikipedia. This is an advice column. That means that you give and ask for advice online.
The only people who answer these types of questions are trying to get an easy 5.

I'm a 14/f and I dont have a best friend. I mean I have friends.... but they're not that close. Like a lot of people I know, are going to the mall with their best friends, and since i dont have a best friend, i'd only have a chance to go to the mall with my mom... ughh and I soo totally dont want to do that.
Well, my point is that in school, we have about 20 minutes before school to do anything we want. And well I am hanging out with my "friends" and they don't really include me... so if they're having a conversation, and I ask a question, they wont answer me and just ignore me. I always feel so alone. I know you might say "just have you're family be your best friends" but I REALLY dont want to have my family be my best friends. I want someone that's my age, and who I can have sleepovers with, and go to the mall with, and just hang out with... but none of my friends don't like me that much. It's like this world doesn't even know I exist.
So my question is How can I stand out to people and try to make friends? Is there any tricks to making a best friend? What should I do about these so called "friends"? Keep talking to them? Ignore them?
I mean, if I start talking to them, they'll just change their mood into like an annoying mood. Suuuure they'll talk to me, but its about something really stupid like "what was the homework assignment for monday?"
Sometimes, if one of my friends, doesn't have anyone to talk to at the time, they'll come to me and start talking to me, but it's not the talking you think it is... its probably more like bragging. Like one of them likes to dance, and if she doesn't have anybody to talk to, she'll come up to me and say "oh my gosh, I can't remember my tap dance sequence... Oh yeah it goes ____" and then she'll like dance infront of me, and like show off.
I don't know what's wrong with me, it's like i'm a back-up friend to everybody... I feel so alone and my subject said "what happens to a lonely person in life?" well... what happens? Will I turn out to be some person who doesn't have a purpose in life?
How can I fix this? I'm SOOOO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!
HELP ME! (link)

You should leave those friends behind. I used to be exactly like you and it wasn't very fun. =(
There are some things you need to remember. First of all, I'm guessing that there are maybe 5,000 kids in your school or less. Worldwide, there are 6 billion, so if I'm calculating this correctly, there are over 5 billion people you don't know yet. You need to keep in mind that high school is NOT everything and there are other people outside of your school. In four years, no one will keep in touch except the true friends, which are few.
Secondly, join clubs and try to get to know foreign exchange students or new students. That way you both will be lonely and will rely on eachother.
Thirdly, don't forget that the number of friends doesn't matter. It's how close you are with your friends. Don't feel discouraged if you only have a few friends. Most people have tons of fake friends. But they mean absolutely nothing. The person below me explained it well. =]
Think outside of your school. Do you go to church or any religious place? Meet people there. What about in your neighborhood? Are there any community activities going on, like a food drive?
People at school aren't your only opportunity.

Can anyone give me a quick way to study for a test??
My test is tomorrow and i haven't had time to study for it.

Not trying to be rude, but please be more specific next time. :]

do you have any suggestings that might help me loose wieght fast i tryed a lot of different thing like do you have any good diets or exerxise programs (link)
|
I'm sorry, but there is only one way to lose weight. And that is to eat less and exercise more. If it doesn't work, it's because you are eating too much or exercising too little. It won't happen soon. It takes time AND commitment. But if losing weight is important to you, then you can do it. I know a lot of people who can do it, but just keep giving in to candy, chocolates and carbs. I'm afraid it doesn't work that way. It's either a great body or a box of chocolate. Your choice.
My dad has lost 70 pounds on Atkins. My aunt has lost 100 on Atkins, I believe. It didn't happen over night. It took about 2 years. But they really wanted that slim body. And now they have it.

just between two classes i have so much homework. i just can't take it anymore. im in 3 honors classes, english, history and science. english & history are the worst. this is what i have to do.
english- vocab quizzes every friday, we're reading romeo and juliet, tuesday is a quiz on act 2 and 3. we have to do homework tasks either worth 60 or 30 points and have to get 180 points. he doesn't have due dates for them but we can only hand in 60 points a week. those projects consist of making soundtracks, comic strips & other stuff.
history- question sheets, like tonight they are 8 questions, we don't have textbooks because we don't have enough, so we have this documents book that it all words and makes me want to tear it to shreds, so we have to look it all up online, and even though the internet has a lot, it usually doesn't have the questions we're looking for or it just takes me an hour to do it.
and together, we have to do a research paper. that's due december 19 and i hardly have anything done yet. and i hardly understand it. i'm seriously like so stressed, last night i was crying and tonight too, all i do is come home and do homework. so right now i'm attempting to do my question sheet, i can't find anything, i have a headache. i still have to study for english vocab and a science quiz tomorrow, and i have a math test. i seriously cant take this anymore. i told my mom i wanted a textbook for christmas lol for history. but still. i wanna transfer but i dont, and idk if can NOW. i hate thisssss :( do you think that's a little overboard? plus that i always have math homework, spanish sometimes, science project due thursday. what do these teachers expect? my life is so boring right noww. im miserable :( (link)
|
I'm really sorry about your stress at school. I've been through that before [which is why I'm taking a lighter load this year], so here is some advice.
At my school, we also have vocab quizes every Friday. So what I do is study 2 or 3 vocab words a day so that I don't have to cram in 20 words the night before the quiz. As for tonight, I would make flashcards and know the general definition of the word. For example, if you need to know that amicable means friendly, agreeable, and peaceful, just try to know that it means friendly and you should be fine. =)
The history homework that you have needs to be done after you study. Study math first, then vocab, and then science. You can always ask your friends tomorrow morning for help with your history homework, or even ask a complete stranger who is in your class to borrow their homework to compare answers [even though you're really going to copy them]. I know it isn't right, but you can only do so much in one night.
Don't worry about all of your history assignments, research paper, and science project tonight. Work on all of that this weekend. Research papers aren't as hard as they seem. They just take a lot of, well, research.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you more than I did. But please, take a 10 minute break. I know exactly how you feel, and believe it or not, all of this stress will eventually go away. I wouldn't suggest changing schools. I would, however, advise you to reconsider taking so many honors classes.
It sounds like you have procrastinated, which is understandable, considering all the homework you have and extracurricular activities. But try to remember later on how much it actually hurts you in the long run.

So heres my problem...
my parents are really uptight, and a little closed minded when it comes to my future. They still have this picture perfect mental image of me graduating with honors, and getting a bussiness degree, and starting a normal life. Problem is, I dont want that. I have bigger plans, and a passion for music so great its almost unreal. All i want to do with my life is something meaningful, and inspiring to others like me. Sure it may sound like a childish dream, i want to be a rockstar kind of thing, but hey who ever said we cant dream big right?
My question is, how do I get them to realize its not going to be how they picture it. every time i try to confront them about it, they brush it off as if to say "you think thats what you want to do" but i dont think, i know. thats what they dont seem to understand, becuase they never had a passion like I have.
Any help would be much appreciated. (link)
|
I think that you should do what you want to do. Like the person below me said, it doesn't REALLY matter what your major is. What REALLY matters is that you have a degree.
However, your parents probably won't be open to this. This is why I did a little research to find majors that are both music and business related. For example, in the U.S., there are 27 public 4-year colleges that offer a major in Music Management/Merchandising, and 14 community colleges that offer the same major, according to collegeboard.com . The music part should interest you, while the management/merchandising part should please your parents because it is business related.
You could also decide to get 2 degrees: 1 in music, 1 in business. That would be expensive and take a long time, though.
Good luck!

I recently was diagnosed with clinical depression.
I've had depression for years, but never sought out help for it.
I just started college in September, but things just kept getting worse for me.
I found a counselor over here on campus and she thought that my idea of going back home and coming back next year would be a great idea for me.
I could get used to anti-depressants (which I haven't been able to start yet, I don't have a doctor over here) and also so I could work out my problems.
My big problem is that I don't feel like I am being supported by anyone but my boyfriend and my 3 best friends.
My mom, dad and sister keep saying like a broken record that they want me to stay over here (I go to Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA, but I live in Auburn normally)
I already made the plans a while ago that I am coming back over there, and that I am going to go to a community college and not feel so guilty about spending my dad's money while I am confused and unsure of what I want to do with my life.
They just don't understand that the more I am over here, the worse I feel.
I feel horrible about myself, I feel horrible because my dad keeps complaining about how much money he spends on each of us kids, and that I just can't handle it over here right now.
I've explained to them all many times why I want to come back and why I am coming back, but it's like it goes in one ear and out the next.
I feel like I need to go out and live on my own because they all make me feel so horrible about leaving here that I just get worse in my depression but I don't have a job yet, and to get over there, I have to get a ride from one of them because I was in a car accident a short while ago so I don't have a car.
I am so tired of feeling bad but they don't hear me.
Any advice on what I should do?
Thank you all ahead of time. (link)

I think that it is a wonderful idea for you to go back home and take classes at a community college. This will most definitely help you with your depression. Here's why.
Typically, anxiety has something to do with depression, so it could be that you are also experiencing stress. Well, in general, the classes at community colleges are easier academically, mainly because people with poor high school grades end up going there. So maybe having lower academic expectations and a lighter load will help you relax more. It will also help your dad out financially, which I'm sure will make him happy. You should also look into scholarships.
Your parents have to realize that depression affects everything. I've been depressed, too, and it really had an impact on everything, including my social life, religious beliefs, and schoolwork. You should not let them make you feel guilty. You are actually helping them out by saving them lots of money. And you're helping yourself out by being with family, which to me always helps through the hard times.
It is completely normal for you not to know what you want to do with your life. You're a freshman in college. You are not supposed to have your whole life and career planned out yet. This is why you take general education classes (math, science, English, history, etc.)--to help you decide what interests you. Also, if you are still unsure of what you want to major in in college, there are degrees in General Studies, Liberal Arts & Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Studies that don't concentrate on one specific area. So 2 years from now, you still have options if you're unsure or confused.
About the whole getting a ride home, you could ask a relative for a plane ticket home for a holiday gift, couldn't you? Or you could ask your parents for them to pick you up in place of a present. There's always the option of taking a bus, but buses can be dangerous.
I hope I helped. You are not alone. 60% of Americans have been depressed before. I wish you good luck. =]

My boyfriend of 11 months and I sometimes will makeout and stuff with just his boxers on and just my underwear.. I was wondering are there any risks of anything happen when we do this? (link)

No, there's no risk, unless something sexual is involved.
But please, don't have sex. I know you aren't, but these kinds of things often lead to sex easily.

I assume you are Christian because the other columnists assumed the same. =]
It is our job as Christians to try to bring Jesus into people's lives. That is one of the main reasons we are here. Unfortunately, many people will not listen. That is their choice though, so we must realize when to stop "bothering" people.
Many people assume that all Christians try to convert non-Christians. In a way, that is true. But we do not want people to get annoyed by us. That only makes them more against Christianity.
The only thing that you can do at this point is pray for him. Maybe talking about Jesus with your friends in front of him, or reading the Bible in front of him, will get him to notice and wonder about Christianity, but it is not likely.
I respect you for trying to bring Jesus into other people's lives. Many Christians fail to do that.
