Q: alright, well, I'm mormon, born and raised.
anyway, I have no clue what Ash Wednesday and Lent are, my friend had a big black mark on her head, and i asked her what it was, she just said ash wednesday, then i offered to go out with her on saturday to get something to eat and she cant. i asked her why, and she said Lent? What are these? what religion is it, and why??

The religion is catholic. Lent is when you give up something you love for 40 days. It will end on April 1st this year, and then you can continue doing whatever it was that you gave up. Your friend maybe could have given up going out to restaurants, eating a certain type of food that she likes, it could have been anything, which is why she couldn't go. Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent, where when you go to church the priest will mark you with ashes, which is what your friend had on her forehead. I hope I helped!

Well if you don't want to look gothish, for your top you should avoid dark shades of red and stuff. And no black tops either. I think maybe if you had a pink shade for the color it would look good without looking goth. Hope I helped

Q: why does guys hair grow faster and longer than girls hair does?

The person below me is right, they get their hair trimmed more so thats why it grows faster. However, there isn't really much of a difference if they trimmed their hair ever 4 to 6 weeks. A person's hair on average grows a half of an inch each month.

Q: I have been in a long relationship (six years)... It is really up and down. He doesn't really like to be romantic w/me anymore. We both have resentment toward each other. I went out of town 2 weeks ago w/ my family and met somebody. He asked for my number and my Sister gave it to him. He has called me a few times and we email each other. Your current boyfriend doesn't seem to be very appreciative of you. If you really think you have feelings for the new guy, I'd go for it. Your boyfriend is being nice because he doesn't want you to dump him for the other guy, he is probably scared because he doesn't want to feel rejected by you or unwanted. However, maybe there is something on your current guy's mind. You could ask him about it.

Theres no rush at all to get it. Some people get it when they are 10, some people get when they are 13 or 14, and some even get it when they are 16 or 17. You shouldn't have to worry about it because it will come soon, maybe even this year or next year.

Ovulating is before you get your period, and so you have discahrge then. Being on your period (menstruation) is when the egg is dropped so there is blood.

Q: if you wear your hair in a ponytail but you move the position of your ponytail every day or every other day will your hair grow?

It doesn't affect how fast your hair grows. However eating healthy does. Make sure to wash your hair often and to get it trimmed ever 4-6 weeks to get rid of split ends, because those are what is causing your hair to grow slower. Getting them removed will help your hair grow faster. :) Also drink a lot of water. Hope I helped.

Q: Ok so about a month ago my friends mom called me asking if i had made her duaghter a myspace. I said yes because i thought she had meant *did* i make her one and she knew about that i mean i didnt make it with out her knowing and her mom "delted" it but its still there but any way so she started yelling at me and stuff and now well my BESTFRIEND isnt talking to me. My sister recently talked to her saying that it was a huge misunderstanding but she replied saying that people have said someone has been commenting them as her. . I havnt. So im on late at nite and i see that she has made herself or that could be someone else that has made her a myspace i was such in shock that my mouth was open for a about 5 minutes i finally added her seeing if she can be my firend. Im very upset though shes turned many people on me and i dont think shes supposed to have a myspace her mother said she wosnt supposed to and there she is online with a myspace. Should i tell my parents? should i show her mother getting her into truoble and suffering she has put me through? or should i just act like nothing happend and still talk to her? should i make new friends like new best friends? is what she did not a go back to friend too? i mean its not exactly a fight its really just a physco thing she thinks i did and there is nothing i can say to make her think i didnt. im very upset that shes turned most people on me i mean i dont know that for a fact but i will find out. it just hurts to see her doing that to me.

Well unfortunately there is nothing you can do to prove that it was a misunderstanding. I could understand why your friend would be mad because perhaps her mom told her the wrong story, since her mom didn't know you didn't realize what you were doing.

If you tell your parents your friend might be more mad at you, but if she isn't allowed to be on myspace, well, you make the decision. Its up to you to decide whether she should get in even more trouble or not.

If you pretend nothing happened and still talk to her she might be confused, but you can try it. As for the fact that she is turning people on you thats just really mean. If you want to try and resolve things, you can say something like, "I'm your best friend, I would never rat on you on purpose." she might realize that it really could have been an honest mistake. Everyone makes mistakes.

You can't change it but if you go to column settings you can change the style of your layout, which might have a different font. For example mine has a different font then the normal style you first get.

Take scissors and cut a hole whatever size you want, and then to make it look more natural take a razor and rub the blades on the edges of the rips. :) Hope I helped.

Q: My skin is very sensitive. There are people paler than me and you can't see their veins. When it gets cold, mine are everywhere. Which brings up some questions.

Hey.. I know I am not exactly answering your questions, so I would find it rather generous if you rate me even a 2. But if your skin is sensitive and your nose is peeling while moistened, you should see your dermatologist-- I'm sure they have a solution for that. As for a solid color for skin, you can try foundation since thats meant to even out the color on your face. And for the rest of your body I'd use a self tanner, I'd recommend Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisturizer. Sorry I wasn't much I help, and good luck with your skin. I hope everything works out

Q: i came home from vacation to find my scalp very dry, crusty, and nasty!! I haven't used any new products on it,and i use conditioner. My family and i spent the weekend at a water park where the water had so much chlorine in it, it was green and hurt your eyes a lot. Could this be the cause of the dry skin? And how can i get rid of it very quickly without buying special shampoo? And if this is not the cause of it, what else could it be? Thanks for all your help, I rate!!

Hey I definatly recommend Head and Shoulders for shampoo. It works excellent, it moistens your scalp and gets rid of the dandruff. I know you didn't want to go out and get special shampoo but its not too much money and you can get it anywhere. :) Hope I helped.

Cervical cancer is cancer in the cervix. I actually got that shot. Its not bad. You really should definately get the shot because you will appreciate it later in life. The shot is actually for HPV (huma n papillomavirus) which is an sexually transmitted disease, and HPV can cause cervical cancer. I believe you need 3 shots for it, the second one after 2 months and the third 4 months after the second. The shot is given at a doctors office.

They give you the shot in your upper arm. It doesn't matter which arm either. If I recall they do your stronger arm.

Q: I've heard all this talk about not turning the volume up too much on your iPod headphones, or it will damage your ears. How loud is too loud?

Hey, I have your answer :), you know its too loud when a person standing right next to you can hear it from your headphones. Hope I helped.

No, what it was saying was what the key ingredients in that does :) It was saying that organic beewax conditions your hands and lips, but its just an ingredient in the lip balm, so no, you should only use it on your lips. Hope I helped.
