what is cervical cancer? because its manditory for me to get a shot for it and my mom doesnt want me to have it so what is it?

If its the one thats new, then i think i know what youre talking about. My mom didnt want me to get it either because since its new, who knows the side effects it will have 10 years from now or 20 years from now and so on. So, maybe you should think about that.

Cervical cancer is cancer in the cervix. I actually got that shot. Its not bad. You really should definately get the shot because you will appreciate it later in life. The shot is actually for HPV (huma n papillomavirus) which is an sexually transmitted disease, and HPV can cause cervical cancer. I believe you need 3 shots for it, the second one after 2 months and the third 4 months after the second. The shot is given at a doctors office.
They give you the shot in your upper arm. It doesn't matter which arm either. If I recall they do your stronger arm.

A couple of web sites for you to read up about it. It's quite nasty if not caught in time so it's a good idea to have the shot, it can stop you worrying about it.
