iPod Ear Damage?

Question Posted Wednesday February 21 2007, 12:11 am

I've heard all this talk about not turning the volume up too much on your iPod headphones, or it will damage your ears. How loud is too loud?

Well if you play your ipod ALL the way up everytime you listen to it and you listen to it like all the time then yah your ears will be damaged! I like to listen to mine at 1/2 the way!!

never put the volume all the way up besides ear damage its what causes most headphones to blow out after a short time.

You have to be the judge of how loud is too loud. If you take it out of your ears and you can hear every word clearly thent that too loud. The ipod is loud anyways, with an ipod since it is pretty loud I would only turn it up half way. But you ahve to judge wether you think it is going to damage your ear drumbs or not.
hope I help

Hey, I have your answer :), you know its too loud when a person standing right next to you can hear it from your headphones. Hope I helped.

Although, even if they can't, you should still keep the volume down a little less just to be safe.
