what is a protestant? im a christian,whats the difrence? i know what catholic, muslim buddhism and all tht is but ive never heard of protestant until i saw it on my friends myspace.

I think it's kind of like Catholic, but they don't receive commnunion and the minister can be married. I'm not 100% positive. That's what I remember from watching 7th Heaven, haha. I hope I helped somewhat.

My best friend is my ex's sister. He broke up with me and I went out with his best friend. I liked his best friend before I liked him. His best friend interduced me to him. We talked and I went out with him. Then when he broke up with me like 10 months later. and like I said I went out with his best friend. My ex's sister and I were the best of friends. Then she thought I used her brother to get to his best friend. and I didn't. She called me a skank and all kinds of shit. We got in a fight for a while. Then we made up. She wants to start hanging out agian. Should I start hanging out with her again?

If she's willing to be friends again, why not? Especially since she's your best friend, you shouldn't let something like that ruin your entire friendship. She was really just trying to protect her brother, which makes sense. It also depends on how deeply she hurt you. Maybe you could give it a little more time if you need to. I hope everything turns out okay for you :)

I'm having a graduation party and I'm renting a 33 ft long slip n slide.

With that I also am renting a concession machine. I have a to choose ONE of them. So if you could help me narrow it down, and put your FIRST AND SECOND chose.

Hey, I am 14 years old and i need to make some money... any suggestions?

The only thing I can really suggest is babysitting, or cleaning your house. Ask your parents for an allowance. I heard somewhere the average allowance for a 14ish year old is $8 a week. Or, you could clean other people's house if you can. A garage sale? Save your coins and you'll make a few extra dollars. Actually, I think McDonalds hires at 14. I'm not positive, but you could try.

so im going on a cruise in september and there is going to be a formal dinner the first night. i don't know how i should wear my hair. my dress is strapless so i want to keep atleast half of my hair down. my hair is really light brown or super dirty blonde. its almost below my boobs. so how should i wear it?

hey. well, i'm getting ready to go into high school. and i'm sooo scared. i'm scared about all of the upperclassman, but the most thing i'm scared of is the work. i know it will be much harder. and i get soooo nervous on tests and stuff, and i'm really scared for finals. i HAVE to graduate. i can't fail. what grades do you have to get to pass classes? can it be an A,B, or C? cause i always thought that if it was D or lower, you couldn't pass your class. in middle school i always got A and B's, but i don't know how, cause i never really understood the work. and i don't remember stuff very well, so everything that i learned in school, i probably won't remember a lot of it. i really don't want to go to high school. on a scale of 1-10, how hard is the work?? i'm not smart, but i'm not dumb eathier.lol. and, i can't figure out my schedule at all. i've asked my cousin,and i'm going to ask my sister when i see her, but i've already asked a couple of my friends, and they don't know eaither. what do i do?!?! i'm freaking out right now! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thanks!

Honestly, high school isn't that tough, work wise. If anything, I thought it was a bit easier, minus a class or two. But that's different for everyone. It will probably be a bit tougher than middle school, but nothing you can't handle.
I got A's and B's as well, and I pretty much maintained those grades my freshmen year.

At my school, getting a D is still passing. You need an F to fail. If you get A's and B's now, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you fail a class, you can still graduate though. You'd just have to take summer school for a while.

The upperclassmen honestly couldn't care less about you, in my school at least. I don't think many schools are different. They might try to make it sound like they're going to torture you and all that, but once you get there, nothing. It's also nothing like on TV. Just don't think you're all cool and try to be best friends with all the seniors. Like the other person said, they'll just hate you for that.

Hmm. On a scale of 1-10...I'd say..maybe a 4.

All the other freshmen will be running around trying to find their classes too. At my school, there were signs, so I never got lost. Your school may be different though. You might be able to go around the school a week or so before school starts and just walk around. That's what I did and it did help. Have your sister show you where your first class is, then you can ask that teacher how to go to the next class. Teachers will also be lenient if you're a little late. They give you about a week until they start giving detentions, some even don't, as long as you're not too late. It just depends on the teacher though.

Keep your grades up all year, so incase you don't do so well on the final, it won't totally kill your grade. Start studying a few weeks in advance. I didn't do too well on my finals, but I also didn't study as much as I should have. Study, and you'll be fine. Also, do your homework. I passed science and math in 8th grade [yes, I know this is high school, but it still applies] because I did my homework. I didn't understand a lot of the material. I still got B's in those classes.

Remember- ask questions when you don't understand something. Teachers are there to help you. Stay after or before class if you need too.

When your sister comes home, I'm sure she'll give you really good advice, since she's experienced it already at the same school you're going to. You'll be fine. It's not bad at all. It can be the best years of your life, or the worst. I'm sure it'll be your best though. Good luck! If you have any more questions, don't be afraid the ask me :)

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for these features

any good shampoo's and conditioner that control these??


Oh and another question- Is it good to use 1 specific controlling brand for shampoo and then another brand for condtioner?? for example

Sunsilk de-frizz as shampoo and then Herbal Essences Dehydration conditioner??

I wouldn't think it's bad to use two different brands-I do. I use Pantene ProV and Vive. Vive works amazingly. It makes your hair soft and silky. I personally wouldn't want to use both shampoo and conditioner that do that to your hair, because it makes my hair look greasy.
If you color your hair, use a shampoo and condition specifically for it. It'll make the color last longer and protect it.
Also, to prevent damaging your hair, if you staighten it, blow dry it, or curl it often [anything that puts a lot of heat on your hair], use a creme that'll protect your hair. That too will make your hair smooth and smell good.
You can try using a friz spray. [It's by Treseme, I forget what it's specifically called, but its a spray and it's in a clear bottle.]

so my ex boyfriend's mom recently died && i called him. i hadn't talked to him for awhile. but he said that he wanted to make sure that everything was cool with us because she really liked me. but i still don't feel like everything's right. i'm wondering if i should just talk to him in person the next time i see him, or if i should call him. i can't see him for awhile.but yeah.so i need HELP!!!

Try talking to him on the phone for a while, until you feel more comfortable. Especially since you can't see him for a while, build your friendship up again over the phone or computer. Then, when you can see him, things won't be so awkward.

so far, this is what my schedule will look like;

algebra 2
geometry
english 9 AA
world history
biology pre-AP
spanish 9
freshman girl's choir

i think i'm getting in over my head, with two math classes and two honors classes. also, i'm in cheerleading that has practice 3-5:30 daily after school, and i'm in volleyball, which practices 6-8 every monday, wednesday, and thursday.

do you think i should drop one or both of the honors classes? [english and biology] i'm deffinately staying in algebra 2 and geometry, because i love math and i can deal with those.

personal experiences would be great.

I did honors English and honors world history my freshmen year, and played volleyball. We had volleyball everyday, the same you have cheerleading. I did okay in history, but I stuggled a bit in English. The only thing really tough was the tests. They were just too long, and I'm usually the last person done with a test, because I like to take my time. Plus, I didn't try as hard as I should have. I didn't read like half the books because I couldn't stand that Mythology crap, haha. Too many people and stories and all that. But, I ended with a C.
I'm not sure about honors biology. I'm taking that this year [I'm going into 10th grade]. But, my friend took it and said it was really easy. She got like a C on every test because she never studied, and ended with an A in the class because there was so much extra credit offered. And, when she did study for the final, she ended with A.
I'm pretty sure that for math, you'd need a graphing calculator. I'm not 100% sure because I'm taking geometry this year. My friends that took it didn't like it, but I think most got a B, but you like math, so that's not a problem.
I'm not sure what Spanish you're taking. I just took Spanish I and it was really easy.
As for the sports, it's up to you. I played volleyball, and it didn't conflict too much. But, since you're play two sports, it might not leave much time for homework and studying.
If you're willing to work really hard, then go for it. Don't drop any classes. But, if you know you're probably going to slack off, you might want to suggest dropping one. My suggestion is try that schedule to the first semester, and if it's too hard, you can drop out at the semester. Plus, volleyball is only a few months long. I'm not sure about cheerleading though. I'm sure you can do it though. I'd try it. Good luck! :)

Hi, the past few days i haven't been feeling that good and i was wondering what are some signs of pregnancy? my period should be coming in a few days and maybe its just cramps and stuff. but the main point is that ive never had sex..so what are some signs of pregnancy? thank you

There's no way you can be pregnant if you've never had sex, sorry. You might have the flu, or like you said, your period cramps. If you were possibly pregnant, some symptoms would be:
-Fatigue.
-Slight bleeding or cramping.
-Nausea with or without vomitting.
-Food aversions or craving.
-Headaches.
-Constipation.
-Mood swings.
-Faintness and dizziness.
-Raised basal body temperature.
But yeah, you deffinately aren't pregnant.

It really depends on how many kids you babysit, and how tough they are. If you're only babysitting one kid, and they're good, then maybe like $5 an hour. Maybe go up a dollar each kid or so. If you're babysitting for the night, say 7-12, you should probably earn about $20. I never set a rate, they just give me whatever, and it's always pretty fair.

how do you erase things that are saved in the things you write in like the search things.
like on google, where you type in the search box and you type one letter and other things that start with that letter that youve searched for pops up. how do you delete that?

Delete your history. Go to Tools--> Delete browsing history-->Delete history. That should delete all the sites you visited, sites you typed in your address bar, and things you typed in search engines. :)

Get a good job [but remember, that'll require A LOT of school and hard work]. Also, learn to handle money. Don't go blowing it on stupid stuff you don't need. Invest it in things you need and will maybe help you later in life. i'm not sure about anything that'll send you money annually. Here are a few high paying jobs:

I got a hair cut recently and it turned out really bad. the front is like just above shoulder length and the back is like middle back length. it looks really bad. Any ideas on how to change my hair with out cutting it to short?????

I can't really think of any other solution besides cutting it shorter. You could angle it in the front, and the back a little longer [like Jennifer Aniston]. You don't have to cut off a lot. I'm sure it would still look cute. Sorry if I wasn't much help, but it was the only thing I could imagine that would still look cute.

ok..so if you straighten your hair like evreyday..or almost everyday..will your hair be like gross and damaged? and if it does happen how long does it take? because i straightened my hair for a whole semester like everday! and this week i straightened it everyday! so what happens?

It doesn't really damage it, as long as you use products to protect it. Right after I take a shower, I put a spray in it [V05 is good]. Then, I brush it, and put in a creme [I think it's by Studioline, but anything would work, really]. It also helps protect it. I don't straigten my hair as much in the summer, only when I'm going out, but in the school year, I straighten it almost everyday, and no damage was done on my hair. Like the others said, use a good shampoo and conditioner to also help keep it healthy and you should be fine.
