Well there's this guy I like and me and him talk alot, which I know is good and everything, but know we've talked so much there isn't too much to talk about anymore, and the conversation starts to die after awhile.
I mean we do the casual "how was your day? school? what'd you do?," and everything, but after that, it's hard to talk about anything else cause you've already talked about mostly everything.

That's a little vague, but...
Violently. With a mob mentality. Gangs are about a sense of brotherhood, but they wouldn't have that if they got together and just sat around. The brotherhood comes from violence, and usually drinking.

hey...well within the last year i have become christian. but lately i have been having my doubts. i have depression, and have had it for about 2 years now. i pray so much but i dont seem to be making any progress to becoming happier. i dont understand why my prayers arent getting answered. (link)

I posted another question a few days ago about my Dad. But, for I think four or five years, I've been praying that my Dad would stop yelling. My mom has been praying since the day I was born that he would stop. He cusses, screams, you name it at me and my family. I can't take it. I'm crying typing this. I thought God answered all prayers. Why can't he answer this one? (link)

- I do not have texting on my verizon phone.
- I heard that verizon-to-verizon texts were free...
- I recntly found out that is not true if you don't buy a certain plan.
- My father pays for my phone bill, and he will FREAK out when he gets it for this month.
- I am VERY worried though. My parents are strict, & I mean VERY strict. & I have been texting this boy.
My questions are the following:
1. Can my dad read what I have sent?
2. If so, is there any way of me changing that?
3. Does it show who I've been texting or just the number?
4. How can I block any incoming or outgoing texting; I guess take it off my phone?

1. I don't think so... There may be some complex way for him to find out (e.g. he calls verizon) but I doubt he would go that far.
2. Nope.
3. On the bill, it only shows the number.
4. You can't, unless you specify it to verizon. Probably means you have to call them, or go on the website.

I have a very random question to ask everyone. When you read the word advicenators in your head (or speak it out loud) how do you pronounce it? I pronounce it advice-in-ate-ors. I've been apart of this site almost 3 years and never new if that's how it's actually said. It probably is, but for anyone who pronounces it differently, how do you say it? I know it's probably one of the oddest questions you've seen on the site, but at least I'm not asking if I'm ready for sex although I've only been dating the guy for two days or something equally annoying and somewhat common. =D Thanks in advance for answers!

Usually I'm not a real big believer on the whole "horoscope" thing. My boyfriend was saying that he was a "fire". His birthday is August 8th. I think but I'm not sure he is a Taurus.

I stumbled across this site by accident. I seriously doubt many of you have the qualifications to give real people proper advice. After reading some of your responses to people's inquiries i was quite astonished as to how teenagers find they are able to give quality advice and information to real people in need with such little life experience. If you ask me you are not in a place to give your "personal opinion" when people truly believe you are giving them the right answer simply because you claim "people think i give really good advice". (eg. i am still at a loss as to how a 17 year old girl thinks she can give advice to someone regarding conceiving a child) I know you try to come across as a "godsend" to poeple who are in some sort of personal crisis and need a fast easy answer but the truth is, in the cases where it really counts, there rarely is one; at least not from you. Also, people answer questions that they know how to. Don't just assume that because you don't know the answer, somebody else does... Perhaps your problem is just universally hard to solve.

hey, i think i need a bit of guidance, i just had my first heartbreak.
i know it will take time, i know what ive gotta do (girl nights, erase his number and so on) its not that part that worries me.. it's the actual letting go. what i mean is, that moment when i finally accept that it's over, nothing worth fighting for, the moment i stop thinking "maybe we'll meet one day in the future and end up together anyways" the moment i truly accept that he'll no longer be in my life.. yeah, that moment is the one i fear. It's going to hurt, so badly. I know that-- but what happen after that? after the days of crying, when you run out of tears,, what happens? caus this is seriously my FIRST heartbreak EVER, i dont know how these things work.. it's a weird sort of heartbreak too, like he didn't cheat, we didn't fight or anything.. he's still the perfect guy i fell for, the guy i love, it's just that i moved, to another country.. and if im lucky i'll see him once a year, but that's it. so it had to end, we were forced to end it. i know it was the right decision, but i dont know how to deal with it.. please help! I understand this is going to be a hideously bad time in your life, with lots of fun things like crying, depression, and "what ifs" swimming around your head. But if one good thing comes of it... It's the freedom. Once it's all over, you take a step back, you look at your options, and you can choose. Maybe you want to find someone else, maybe you want to wait a while.

I have a 2 questions for religious people, preferably Christians. One, what is the purpose of other planets that do not have life, and two, how and where do ice ages fit into history, creation, and God's plan?

Mmmm... Depends. Are you asking for a direct bible answer or a "commentary from a priest answer"?
The direct answer is that neither of these are addressed in either testament, so they are sort of gray areas. However...
God created the entire universe, not just Earth. Some might say that he created barren planets to add to the beauty and majesty of the universe, which I don't quite buy... Dunno. If planets with alien life were discovered, it would affect Christianity and religion in general greatly.
As for the ice ages, the common religious view is that they just aren't that important. The old testament starts 5.7 thousand years ago and the new one starts 2006 years ago, the ice age being very far off from both those times. They don't quite fit in with the doctrine anyway.
