I have an iPOD nano with 4gb. How do you put pictures on an iPOD nano?

plug in your nano, and open itunes.

Down the bottom (below your songs on ipod) there will be an ipod options button (the button to the left of the group of buttons down the bottom-right)

Click it, then click on photos. Check the folders of pictures that you want copied to your ipod and click on Ok.

EDIT: So in turn, you've chosen to wreck my average? My nano does not store pictures. Yours apparently does. I'm sorry for making a simple mistake.
