It will not destroy the cornea of the eye but you have to be careful with contacts because they can cause cornea infections if you do not keep them clean.
At other times, bacteria or fungi from a contaminated contact lens can pass into the cornea. Situations like these can cause painful inflammation and corneal infections called keratitis. These infections can reduce visual clarity, produce corneal discharges, and perhaps erode the cornea. Corneal infections can also lead to corneal scarring, which can impair vision and may require a corneal transplant.
As a general rule, the deeper the corneal infection, the more severe the symptoms and complications. It should be noted that corneal infections, although relatively infrequent, are the most serious complication of contact lens wear.
Minor corneal infections are commonly treated with anti-bacterial eye drops. If the problem is severe, it may require more intensive antibiotic or anti-fungal treatment to eliminate the infection, as well as steroid eye drops to reduce inflammation. Frequent visits to an eye care professional may be necessary for several months to eliminate the problem.

No, Hickeys are nothing more than burst capilaries that have released the blood to the skin surfase similar to a bruise. While they may be sore or unsightly, they will cause no lasting effects. There is no reason why this would in any way cause cancer so you have nothing to worry about.

I have these two friends, Jessie and Kelsey, who have gotten to be like best friends. The problem is, Kelsey is black, and Jessie's parents are really prejudiced. They won't let Kelsey come to their house, or let Jessie go to Kelseys. They won't even let Jessie go anywhere with Kelsey. So whenever Kelsey wants to do something, Jessie has to make up excuses why she can't. And now Kelsey is starting to wonder whats wrong. She thinks Jessie doesn't really like her or something. And Jessie is really upset and doesn't know what to do. She wants to tell Kelsey the truth, but she's afraid it will really hurt her feelings and ruin their friendship. Plus she's really embarrassed about her parents being so prejudiced. But if she keeps making up excuses, Kelsey will think that Jessie doesnt want to be her friend, or maybe even think that its Jessie who's prejudiced. So what should she do? And please don't say she should talk to her parents, because she's already done that and they aren't going to change. (link)

I wish i knew the ages of these two people. because depending on that, I would tell Jessie to stand up to her parents and call them out on them being racist. It frustrates me because of the social construct of racism in this society. I think Jessie should try her best to hang out with Kelsey, come up with something they can mutually agree on doing (or somewhere they can go) together until Jessie is old enough and brave enough to stand up to her parents. If Jessie and kelsey are really close, jessie can open up to kelsey about her parents, and tell kelsey how much he is against their ideas of blacks. It might strengthen the relationship rather than hurt it.

ok i dont know what to do. this morning i was driving to school, following a car [with at least 2 people in it] that turned onto a road. right when they turned on the road, they slammed on brakes and turned the blinker on. i slammed on my brakes and came EXTREMELY close. im not sure if i hit.. i didnt hear or feel anything other than my brakes locking, but i seemed very very close to them. if i did hit, it was extremely minor, like barely touching. they turned into a driveway and sat on the end of it for a minute. i pulled over in the grass but couldnt get out right away because traffic was coming. neither the driver nor the passenger got out, waved at me, rolled down a window or anything, but then they backed out of the driveway, sat there for a second, and drove off in the direction they came from. it was an older car that looked a little dented up anyway, so if i did hit, maybe they didnt care? i didnt get a chance to get any tag numbers or anything but im worried they got mine and will file a report claiming it was a hit and run. im so worried! i looked at my car, and didnt see any new scratches [the front end is scratched anyway from previous owners] but my tag/cover would have hit first and theres nothing on it. what should i do? should i worry? It doesn't sound like you should worry at all. If you really didn't feel anything, most likely they didn't either. They would've at least gotten out to look at their own car. Don't worry about it.

My mother always told me it would be better to tell her I wanted to get on it because I was going to have sex because she would rather me tell her than not and end up pregnant. Well, I ended up going on BC myself, then got off...then thought i was pregnant once. My mom found out I was having sex and was more disappointed that I didn't just go to her to get on bc rather than keep it from her.
All in all she really told me just tell her when I thought I would be ready. And from what I can tell she meant it...I think your mother would rather you go to her than do it behind her back and risk something happening.

Well I completely understand your point of view on guy friends. I like having guy friends for the same reason. BUT, what I have also founnd out is that no matter how much of a "sister" they claim you are...more likely than not, they will start to like you as something else. I don't think they think you are defenseless, they are just looking out for you. It may be true that one or two of them like you, at least that's how it's coming off.
As far as the girls talking crap, forget them. Girls are catty and mean especially when you are in h.s. and a couple grades before then. I am not sure which you are in. I don't think you dressing a certain way will make them stop saying you aren't a butch, etc. Most likely the girls are probably jealous that you have such a close relationship with those guys and you don't, so they resort to calling names and other childish things.
From what I can see, it looks like Steven likes you to had defended you the way he did. But I don't know them personally so I can not say.

I don't really think they don't like you because you are black, seeing as how they date outside of their race. Maybe they don't feel they have much in common with you. Are you the skater type yourself? If you are into the same things they are, do you let them know? Do you have good friendships with these guys before you ask them out? That's important.
If you really think it's a race thing (though I would doubt it is for EVERY skater guy you come across) then that is a shame. But i think you need to keep trying to build good relationships before you ask them out. If you need more help or want to add information i don't know, then just shoot me another msg!
