tell me what kokopelli one you like better also!
I am totally against getting a tattoo on the stomach because it is very prone to change. You will have stretching and shrinking a lot over time. My tattoos are on my back (near the right shoulder) and above my ankle. I figure those are areas that won't change nearly as much. I also recommend that you wait until you are totally sure what you want. It took me years to be completely sure before I got my first tattoo. When I was your 17 I had an idea I was extremely set on. I think back and I would really not be happy with it now. I'm so glad I waited. That said, I have had the fairy on my back for over a year and I still love it so much. I see a lot of me in the picture I chose, a lot of my past and present. I've only had my butterfly for a few months, but it is done in a celtic knot which reflects my heritage, and I can see myself being happy with it forever.
In any tattoo, just be sure it is something that you will always connect with. Take your time and really think about it. Will you like it next year? In 5 years? 10? When you're 64?
Then, be sure to get it in a place that won't change too much in all that time. Most areas of the back, and leaner areas of the arms and legs are good choices.
Get it in an area with a decent amount of muscle; avoid nerves and bone on your first. It hurts like hell. My fairy is mostly on muscle, and actually felt kinda good to get. Where the wing is over the shoulder blade hurt. My butterfly was excruciating, almost entirely over bones and tendons.
I also recommend that whatever you get has a tiny element that you would settle for if you decide it hurts too much. On my fairy, we started with a tiny flower. If I had decided to chicken out, I'd just have that. You don't want to start with kokopelli's foot and decide it hurts too much. Then you will be stuck with a foot forever.
Hope all of that helps!
So I'm starting to volunteer at an assisted living next Saturday. I don't really know what all I'm supposed to do when I go. I know the main thing is just to be friendly and talk to them, play a card game with them, checkers, chess, bingo, etc., but what all could I talk about with them?
Just being there makes a world of difference. Ask them to tell you about their lives. Many will have great stories about their spouses, their children, jobs they have had, so many things. Let them do most of the talking. Whenever you can relate to what they are talking about, chime in. If you see an opportunity to ask for advice, don't hesitate. This can be as rewarding for you as it is for them.
Hey, so my fiance and I decided we are going to have sex for the first time, Im excited. She told me that when she masterbates, she gets to a point where she feels so good and she orgasms and her vagina pulses, and then she feels like a switch was turned off or something, like she doesnt want to have sex anymore. Any advice on this? Something I can do to her to make her feel amazed without loosing touch. I know theres something called the g spot that she rubs, and she said she loves that because she cums, is that normal? I just dont want to hurt her, I care for her deeply.
The previous answer is great, so I don't need to repeat what was said there. I will just answer one small specific thing.
To hit the g-spot, slide your finger inside and almost hook it forward, like you are saying "come here." There will be a soft spot and you will know you have hit it because she will react. As to the best way to stimulate it, every woman is different. Ask her to show you. Yes, ask her to masturbate for you so you can see what pleases her. It may seem awkward at first, but it is a start to great foreplay and amazing sex.
I love this dress, and I'm going to purchase it for prom next year altough I have small breasts about a 32 B so it might look rather awkward. How do i give the appearance of cleavage while wearing this dress??
A good quality push up bra is your best bet. Or, use shoulder pads to add lift. Do NOT put them over your breasts, but rather under, like a shelf to lift them up. Oddly, I learned that trick when I was too young to care. I was a flower girl at a wedding. The bride looked fantastic though :)
has anyone used that smooth away thing? does it work well? they sell it at cvs and whatever now so i was thinking of buying it
I used it and hated it. The first use was ok, for about half a leg. It is more tedious than shaving. I suggest you get a good wet/dry electric shaver. It may cost more at first, but ultimately is much better.
My mother has been acting noticeably different for the past few months...she has a shorter fuse when it comes to things she would normally be very patient with. She is also forgetting things very easily anymore. I can't seem to ask her for help with anything anymore (something small, like "Have you seen this?" or something like that) without her getting irritated with me and saying hurtful things to me. She is constantly belittling me and making me feel like someone who is just invalid and an annoyance to her. I feel this coldness between the two of us, like she resents me somehow, and it's like I don't know her anymore, and it's hurting me more than you can imagine. I'm crying right now even as I type this, but quietly, because I'm afraid if she see's me crying she's going to get irritated at me and lecture me. This isn't some angry "nobody understands me" teenage rant. If it were something stupid like her grounding me, I wouldn't be asking for advice. I am at wits end, and I miss my mother so much...
I don't know much I can tell you, but I do have a few questions that might help.
How old is your mom? Is she old enough for this to be an early sign of Alzheimer's? (I'm guessing, as young as you are, that this probably isn't the case, but worth asking)
Has she been under stress in other areas of her life?
It may not be easy, and you may be afraid of a negative reaction, but try asking her if she is doing alright. Let her know she seems different. She will probably snap at you for it, but it won't take long for her to think about the fact that you brought it up out of concern and let you know what is really going on. The key on that is showing concern and being kind and loving in the way you ask, and don't get defensive when she snaps at you about it. Just tell her you love her and if something is wrong, you are there for her, give her a hug, and walk away. Give her time and space to let that sink in, and you should get an answer.
iv curly hair n i dunno what 2 do with em :( help me
I HIGHLY recommend the book "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey. Every girl with curly hair should have this book. You will seldom have a bad hair day if you pay attention to her advice. I love it. I had very wavy hair, and have gotten it to stay more curly and pretty by following the book. I had my niece read it and now her hair is just stunning.
You should be able to find it at your local library. If you like it, you can buy it just about anywhere.
Okay so what are some ways to act out the damsel in distress and teacher/student fantasies?
thanks!
Depends on the specific fantasy. Everyone is different in that aspect. Costumes help, as does setting (like a desk for the teacher/student one). Props are fun (spanking with a ruler?). Just have fun with it.
so i started my period on the 29th with a little spotting than became normal by the 31st it should have been gone by the 2nd but i still have it on the 4&&5 it was spotting again than yesterday just light and today its light again and its on my 10th day! this isnt normal for me im usually only on it for like 4-5 days! should i go to the doctor!
As this isn't typical for you, checking with a doctor isn't a bad idea. For me, I get spotting a few days before a normal period (when I can call my period normal), so can't really start counting until the first "normal" day. For some women this is typical and not indicative of a problem. For others, like me, it is partly due to an ovary problem.
As today is the 7th, if you still haven't stopped, you might want to see a doctor. If you are feeling light-headed, or have severe cramping, or anything else that just isn't right, it is even more important to see a doctor. Otherwise, it could just be a shift in the way your cycle works. I just typically recommend talking to a doctor because I didn't until I was in my 20s, and I could have avoided a lot of trouble if I had gotten checked out sooner. I feel it is better safe than sorry. If nothing is wrong, you can feel relieved, and if there is a problem, you can get it taken care of sooner.
theyre not horrible but i had to take tylenol n i usually don't take tylenol anymore.
my period will be starting and i doubt it is associated with my period because this would be the first time getting a headache like this
okay so i took speed at 10 pm

am i inernally bleeding from speed?!
i am freaking out
my friend took speed all the time and she took x and all that she has no effects from the speed.
This is more a response to the other answer, regarding "if you're going to do speed again"
Honestly, after such a bad experience, and a fear of permanent damage, I would hope you wouldn't try it again. I don't mean to sound preachy. I just have to question the choice to do something that makes you feel so awful and afraid.
I am glad it probably wasn't actually speed. Did your cousin actually see what you took? There are a lot of medications in red and blue (or orange and blue) capsules. In fact, I have some extra strength tylenol with red and blue capsules. Without seeing the actual pill, it is hard to say what it is. I work for a pharmacy. there are codes on the capsules that help distinguish one from another. You might want to find who you got it from and confirm what it really is. Until you are 100% certain, it is hard to say if there will be long term damage. Though I can say that one dose of just about any pill will typically not do long term damage.
As for the headache now, you took an unknown drug that did not work with your body. You stayed up all night. You are about to start your period. While you say you don't normally get headaches on your period, the other issues combined with it can certainly cause severe headaches. If the pain is in your jaw or around your ears, chewing gum for the better part of 12 hours could have caused that.
So, if for some reason you decide this is an experience worth doing drugs, just be 100% sure of what you are taking and what the side effects are.
I got my first depo shot on Thursday the 11th, I had been sexually active prior to this, but using condoms. My doctor told me I could have sex without condoms starting 24 hours after my injection. Lately i've been feeling kind of like I have cramps, and I just feel weird "down there"
is this because of depo? or something I should get checked?
Depo did not agree with me. I got severe cramping and rather than stop bleeding, I just didn't stop (I got the shot right after my son was born. Should have stopped bleeding after a few weeks, it was a few months). The doctor told me it was definitely a side effect of the depo. I would probably have adjusted if I continued to get it, but I wasn't going to get a shot (I despise shots) and then feel horrible after when there are other options.
That said, I know several women who get it and love it. So, give it time. You should adjust and feel fine. If it comes time for your next shot and you haven't adjusted, discuss it with the doctor and see if another form of birth control might be better suited to you.
In the past few days I've become very tenderheaded, could there be a reason for that?
Or could that be a symptom of something?
It could be a lot of things. For me, it is a prodrome of a migraine (a prodrome is an early symptom, like a warning that a migraine is coming on). It could be stress. It could be a sunburn. You could be overtired. If it doesn't go away in a few days, or if it gets worse, it might be something to look into more. If you get dizziness, or throbbing pain, or vision troubles, see a doctor. Otherwise, don't worry about it.
well i wanted to know can you pop ur cherry if you play alot? with a "toy"? and how do you know if its popped??
A popped cherry refers to a broken hymen. The hymen is a very thin membrane. Sex is not the only way to break it. Yes, you can break it with toys. You can also break it while horseback riding or other vigorous activities where pressure and motion hit the pelvic area.
How can you tell? Well, some girls/women bleed when it breaks, some don't. Some have pain, others don't. If it breaks with a fall while doing gymnastics, chances are other things are hurting too and it won't occur to you that the hymen broke. If you get pain while playing with toys, and there is a little blood, then you definitely broke it. Honestly, if you penetrated fairly deeply with a toy, you probably broke it then. Most women/girls are not aware of when it breaks.
Oh, when mine popped, there was no blood. There is definitely not "twice as much blood as your period." Maybe some girls get that, but it is not typical.
okay so my hair is like normal i think and its kinda wavy but like more in some spots than others and i want it to be realllllllly wavy so i was thinking of getting a body wavy but i was like oh maybe ill just get some kinda shampoo that makes it wavier soo i think im going to go with the herbal essences curl shampoo but i was wondering if there was like something else that willl do it, tha
I highly recommend a book called "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey. It is a great resource for encouraging waves and curls.
If your hair is wavy, use shampoo only a couple times a week, and rely on conditioner the rest of the time. I really like TreSemme's curl conditioner (even though I can't remember the name right now). Check labels. You don't want any simethicone or dimethicone (basically, avoid -cones). The curlier your hair is, the more porous it is. That makes it more sensitive to chemicals and detergents. Shampoo is a detergent.
It may seem weird to not shampoo much. At first, it did for me, but then my hair started to be a lot healthier than it ever had. When I do use shampoo (if I've been out in 120 degree heat and sweating a lot, or otherwise gotten my hair filthy), I find it is more likely to frizz and tangle, and it actually feels oilier because my scalp reacts to the shampoo by producing more oils to replace what the shampoo stripped away.
Do not blow dry your hair. Dry it gently with a towel and let it air dry the rest of the way. Using a good gel (I like cream gels, have one made for curls by Garnier) and scrunching your hair will really bring out the waves/curls.
Using these steps regularly will encourage your hair to have great waves/curls and be really healthy.
Alright, here's the deal... I was up last night at 1:30, and I received a text from my step sister's boyfriend. Up until this point, he's never texted me, so it was really weird. He told me he was drinking with his friends, and then asked me to come over. I told him no, because 1.) I'm not legally allowed to drink and 2.) I can't even be out past midnight because of state curfew. He kept trying to get me to come out there, so I just told him no, it's way too late. but after that he just kept talking to me, so I finally asked him where my step sister is, and he said she ditched him for a party, which is why he was asking me to come. So I know that I can't just leave this be. Should I 1.) Talk to him about it or 2.)Talk to my step sister? Because I don't want something like this to ruin our friendship. Please give me advice on this.
It seems like you handled it really well. Talk to your step sister, tell her just what you said here. If you wait, his drunken memory could get him telling her you tried to start something. Besides, she needs to know what kind of guy she is with.
my discharge is a light color its whiteish and its like sticky its not a whole lot and it doesnt smell.....so do i need to get it checked out or is it just left over from my period?.....my period was about 9 days ago
Did your period start or end 9 days ago? If it ended then, you are probably ovulating. It would be the right time, and this is a typical sign of ovulation. Even if it started 9 days ago, you could still be ovulating. Some women do ovulate earlier than most.
Whether ovulation or not, light, odorless discharge is totally normal. It is the body's way of keeping things clean down there. So, there is no need for concern.
19/f
Today is the 30th day of my cycle and I started getting a light brown discharge 3 days ago. I usually get my period every 25-33 days. I dont have sore breasts or anything like I usually do and I have only ever had this discharge after my period, NEVER before.
My boyfriend and I dont have sex but we fool around a bit so I doubt i could be pregnant unless he had semen on his fingers or something.
I was on the pill but I have had 3 periods since I stopped taking it and I havent had light brown discharge before any of them.
Should I be concerned? Because Im scared.
Well, the chance of pregnancy is there, but extremely slim if the only possibility is semen on his fingers, so I wouldn't worry over that. It could be your body adjusting to not taking the pill, a sign of illness, or just a wonky cycle. Give it a few days, and if you don't start your period, check with your doctor to be on the safe side. I don't think you need to be too worried. You are very young, and periods often get weird at your age.
However, if it continues to be like this for several months(starting late each month, symptoms different from normal), check with your gyn. If there is some underlying cause, it is best to catch it early.
ok so i've been on the pill for bout 5-6 monthes now and its been doing its job my period has become less and less and it has come on the 3 sugar pill, but now it has started after me taking the first sugar pill???? and is bairly even a period anymore, i am so used to the heavy load but now its like nothing is that normal? Cuz i'm very confused, last time i told my doctor that is has been reducing and starting on every 3 sugar pill and now its changed >_< to bout at the moment i'm getting a cold.
Help? plz?
Every pill is different, and so is every person. This could be normal for you. It could also actually have something to do with the cold. I know that when I had some normalcy to my periods, it would get weird whenever I got sick. If it is the same next month, ask your doctor. Right now, though, I would say it sounds normal.
can being balimic cause death in the long run and if so how long would that be befor it does kill you
Yes, it can kill a person. How long it will take is difficult to say. It depends on the severity of the bulimia (throwing up every meal, or just at certain times - like when under a lot of stress) and the person's health otherwise, and I'm sure many other factors. Essentially, the person would deal with malnutrition, dehydration, ulcers, etc. It can cause electrolyte imbalance, which can lead to heart attacks.
The important thing to understand is that bulimia is a serious illness and the person needs help right away to avoid more serious problems, including death.
I am 16 years old
I dont exactly know what I have. Back pains head pains,a little weight gain tender brest and sleeping alot. My friends think I am pregant and I have taken 2 test both negative. I dont know what else it could be. I have been sexualy active agian for about 2 months and I was on birth controle I stoped the birth controle just incase but is there anything else that it could be?
When was your last period? If it was within the last month, the tests may not be so accurate.
It could also just be side effects of the birth control. A lot of birth control pills have these symptoms as side effects. If the birth control is the cause, you should see a decrease in these problems pretty soon since you stopped taking it.
I do recommend checking with a doctor if the symptoms don't go away, or if you miss your period. If it turns out to just be a result of the pill, check with a doctor about trying a different birth control.
