When I started high school, my mom gave me the whole "You'll be starting college soon, so grades and extracurricular activities are important" speach, and she said that any extracurricular activity I wanted to sign up for was fine. She had no problem with me joining the school newspaper, art club, or drama club, but when I asked if I could join cheerleading, she said no because "cheerleading is for bimboes". I don't get why she would say that, it's a sport and it's an extracurricular activity, what's wrong with that? I think she's being unreasonable, but she won't even listen to me. What should I say to her that will make her change her mind? (link)

Cheerleading isn't a waste of your time. If your really good at it a college might even except you just for that. College teams have cheerleading teams too. Listen to her reasons for not wanting you on the team, but if you still disagree then go for it anyways as long as it doesnt make your grades drop. GoOd LuCk.

ok last monday i fell off my bike cuz the chain broke. i hurt my elbow badly. its been getting better, so today i was watching a movie in my room. i was leaninng on my elbow pretty hard, when all of a sudden i felt this gigantic pain and felt like my elbow was about to crack. what do you think happened? im soo confused rite now and my elbow is aching. please help me and i'll rate you in return :)

You might have fractured it, but i need to know more to tell for sure. If your in major pain it might be worth it to fun into the emergency room, but it was kind of a stupid decision to not run in for a 5 minute xray at a walk in clinic or something ( no Offense ). Hit up a clinic, rest it a lot, dont bend it too much, put a pack of ice underneath it and go see a doctor asap. It wont be expensive or anything, your insurance will cover it. Any more medical quiestions ask me.. the haha boat.. GooD LuCk

im 13/f and my sister whose 19 moved out about 1 1/2 yrs ago nd recently moved back in. She had a really controlling boyfriend and they were hooked on heroine. My mom had agreed to let her move back in if she stopped doin in. She moved back in about 2mnths ago and got rid of the old boyfriend. She got a new boyfriend but she's still using drugs. it's not just a once in a while thing either, its everyday, and as i said, my mom doesnt know and shes always saying how proud she is that my sister stopped doing drugs. I don't want to wreck me nd my sistersn relationship, but i think my mom needs to know because im afraid my sister will hurt herself.

Yeah you should tell. Or even tell your sister that you know and not tell your mom, tell your sister that if she doesnt get some help herself your going to tell your mom because your worried about her. Do it asap because heroine is a pretty hardcore drug.

Okay, I know that when your pregnant you can not take any medications other than Tylenol. I also know, you can't get any work done on your teeth because you can't receive x-rays or novacaine either. The problem is some of my teeth, in teh back on the left side, hurt really bad. I don't know if it hurts from lack of calcium or becasue I have cavities. When I ever I drink something cold, it hurts even worst. Does anyone know anything I can do to make the pain stop? (link)

Wash your hands a lot. Don't touch your face. Don't share drinks with anyone. Wash your sheets a lot take sudafed (sp) in the morning and at night if needed. Good Luck

You should get your dog nuetered before he turns one. It depends how big of a dog you want too, because the longer that you wait the bigger the dog will get. 6months-1year. Good LuCk

Tell them to check at Scheils (sp) and Dick's sporting goods. Kohls might have acouple adidas ones.. You could just check online and then go to the store if you wanted too.. Good Luck

I'm 13. I have 5 pairs of shorts, 2 pairs of pants, 5 shirts and 2 sets of pJ's.
I keep asking and asking my mom to take me out shopping, but she always keeps saying no. I get in trouble at school a lot because my shorts are to short and my pants are too tight, but I can't help it if my mom never takes me shopping!

If she can't afford it then its really not her fault. Next year you'll be old enough to buy your own clothes. Im not real sure how you have internet if you cant afford clothes? But trying asking for clothes for things like christmas and your birthday. Search through the piles of things at good will and rummage sales. Your bound to find Something.

I have a beautiful long-haired calico cat that I inherited when my grandmother passed away. I have had cats all my life and have other cats now also, but I've never had a long-haired cat before. I brush her quite a bit but she still regularly vomits the most disgusting hairballs I have ever encountered. I tried buying this hairball remedy paste stuff and have even bought the hairball rememdy treats, but she won't have anything to do with either of them. Does anyone who is familiar with long-haired cats have any other suggestions? (link)

I would reccomend continuing brushing (even daily if possible) and giving her regular baths so she doesnt feel the need to give herself one so much.

Diets dont really work. Just eat healthier (dont skip the bread) and work out A lot. Jog and do sit ups n push ups n stuff like that.

I am soooooo entirly confused! See I've liked this kid named... well lets say CJ.... I've like CJ for 2 years now... and from what I know he hasn't liked me. We've been friends for 2 years and I want something more of our relationship. He's been dropping clues that he has liked me but he also did this before, like 1/2 a year ago. my cousin is really overweight she was over earlier this night and she was telling me about how she wants to kill herself because ever one teases her about how fat she is. its really hard for her to find clothes and she feels like she shouldnt be alive i guess. shes only 14 in 9th grade and weighs im guessin 230. she hates bein around people cause they always pick on her, and she hardly goes out of the house and last year she hardly went to school because of it. can you guys help me out by giving me some excercizes she can do or what not to eat? and should she see a doctor? because they think she might have thighroids or something. thanks. also how long would it take her to lose like 35 pounds? Yeah, it would be awesome for her to go to the doctor, they could hook her up with a nutritionist, and check if something is seriously wrong with her. She should try to get the weight off before it does serious damage to her joints. You could go to weightwatchers with her or something..
