My parents are paying for me to go to private school and im feeling esp. pressured now to get straight A's and its really hard but i know i can just EXTREMELY hard esp. with math so if anyone had some tips and things to try to manage my time and get an A please share! I care very much about my grades but usually have a B or two on my report card (always MATH) and.or something else and i only got straight A's once last yr out of the 4 quarters. the curriculum might be even harder and i heard the hw load is A LOT and im really bad at managing my time and doing hw so please help me and tell me what works for you, ect.! I agree that making a schedule is helpful. Make a "To-Do" list. Start by making a column of things that need to be done today, then tomorrow, next week, etc. Not only will it help you stay focused, but it feels great when you cross something off your list. Get a planner and keep track of all your lessons, other commitments, etc. so you have a better idea of how much time you have to do everything.

You need a good acne wash. They have body wash made specifically for acne, but I didn't really care for it. The best product I have used is Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. Use it at least once a day in the shower. Use in the morning and before bed if that's not enough.

Where is the Layers Pallet is in Photoshop 6.0? I've tried searching the all of the menu at the top of the page, i thought it would be under Layer but it isn't.

The Layers Palette should be under the "Windows" menu at the top. If you are still having trouble, go to "Windows," then "Workspace," then "Default Workspace" and it should appear.

i have it from taking birth control pills, and i tried the reples brand but it didn't really work at all and then there was just this weird discharge and i read the reviews for it and other people had the same problem. does anyone know any better products to help this? (link)

Well, you won't be able to get it permanently for free, but you can download a free trial. Here is a link to a free trial version (it's at the bottom)...

I don't mean to get graphic... but I've been on the pill for about three months now.. a little more... i've still got two weeks before my next period but I have some symptoms of a pregnant woman. My nipples are extremely sore and sensitive.. it will bother me so much that I can't sometimes wear a shirt to bed without a bra. This doesn't occur this badly before my period anyways. And I'm not so much tired, I'm exausted. I haven't noticed any nausea. Should I wait to take a pregnancy test? Could I be pregnant? (link)

Although the white pills don't provide any protection alone, as long as you took all the other pills, you should still be covered. Taking the pills a few hours late doesn't matter. However, since you were on antibiotics, the effectiveness may have been lowered. They don't make the birth control completely useless, but they do lower it's potency.
I've been in this situation before and it's scary. Did you use any kind of back up method, like a condom?
Anyway, all you can do is wait and see if you get your period. Since the wait may be very stressful, you may want to just go out and get a home pregnancy test. Waiting won't change the results, so you might as well know for sure.

I agree with the person below. You shouldn't have to do any of those things to get people to like you. Who wants friends that only like you for those reasons? You should be yourself and do what you feel comfortable with. Some people might think they need to do those things to be "cool", but in the long run, it does not work.
By the way, I completely know how you feel. I hated middle school, but it can only get better. People in high school are a bit more mature and accepting. And don't listen to what people say is or isn't "cool". It's all an opinion. When you are out of high school, none of that will even matter anymore. You don't need to be popular and cool. Just be happy and yourself. Believe me, in the long run, you will be happy that you were true to yourself instead of other people.

ive had my belly button pierced Jan. of this year. (my mom knows.) I think it's infected.
its got red bubble like thing on the top part of the hole. The skin where the holes are is like always white skin (im guessing its like dead skin) but its almost always there and i normally rip it off.
is there a way to get it un-infected? any thing that actually works?

An infected piercing is hard to miss. If it is red, swollen and painful it is probably a mild infection. If their is pus or bleeding it is worse. If their is any leakage of blood or pus don't take out the belly button ring because then it will begin to heal and will not drain properly. If it feels very tight and swollen, you may want to switch to a smaller gauge size.
To treat a mild infection, clean it with hydrogen peroxide. I used to lie on my back and pour a tiny amount of it into my belly button. Then I would just lie their for a while and let it soak. You can also use a cotton ball or wash cloth soaked in warm water to sooth it and increase blood circulation. Soaking it with warm salt water also helps. Plus, each time you change the piercing (or if you haven't changed it in a while), take the rod and cover it with an antibacterial cream. I like "Neosporin with pain relief".
If this lasts more than a week you may want to show it to the person who pierced you or a doctor. If it is a bad infection you will need oral antibiotics. Don't ignore an infected belly button... it can get really bad.

Hi, I'm 17 and think I may be pregnant. I'm not sure yet so I am scheduling an appointment soon for the doctors. I was with my boyfriend for two years and September 2nd was the last time we had sex. I had my period September 11th and it was a regular flow-no 'spotting'. Now I'm not even sure if it was my period because I feel sick liked I've caught something, have gained a little weight-but that could be diet related, and my stomache feels chubby even when I flex it-its like jiggly and mushy feeling(so wierd).
Me and my ex are no longer together and live 300 miles away from eachother, and don't speak much but still love eachother deep down- yet I have no intention of being back with him. I'm scared I may be pregnant but am not sure and although I'm waiting to see a doctor I'm still freaking out! I should be graduating my last year of highschool this year early and moving on with my life... But does that include a child?
What I want to know is if that stomache jiggly/fat thing is a pregnancy symptom or if it is... Should I be seeing this now? I've only noticed it THIS last week.
& If I find out I AM pregnant do you have any suggestions on what I should do...(Keep it, abortion,adopt..ETC.)???
I don't care much if it's constructive criticism, as long as its a true opinion. All I'm asking for is your suggestion because I am still young, but yet could regret this for the rest of my life and have a guilty concious.

Well, the good news is that if you had your period more than a week after the last time you had sex you probably are not pregnant. The first and most trust-worthy sign of pregnancy is missing your period completely. Have you gotten it this month yet? If you have, then I wouldn't worry. If you have not yet gotten it and feel like you should have, then it may be time to get a pregnancy test or go see a doctor. Keep in mind that this is the time of year when lots of people get sick, so it could just be that. Also, if you were using birth control or a condom you're odds are better of not being pregnant.
As for giving my opinion on what to do if you are pregnant? Just take it one day at a time. Discuss your options with your doctor and then talk to some close people you trust... parents, friends, the ex. I don't think anyone can really tell you what to do. Having a child is a huge step and only you can decide if you are ready for that. Think about how you would feel in each circumstance. Would you be able to support a child? Do you have future plans that you can still carry out with a child? On the other hand, how would you feel having an abortion? Would you feel better giving it up for adoption or would that be too much for you to deal with?
Basically, there is no clear cut answer. You have to think about it and go with your gut... but before you worry about that, I would focus on where you are currently. Since you had your period I think you are fine but go get a test. It will take the burden off either way.
Also, I know this doesn't help you now, but you may want to consider getting on birth control in the future. It will make you feel much more secure and worry less. Planned Pregnancy offers it at little to no cost if that is a factor for you.

Well, there are several ways to tell. First of all, if you finish but there isn't really anything in the condom, it may be a sign that it broke. Also, stretch it out gently and inspect it closely to see if their are any large rips. If you are still unsure, gently fill the condom up with water and look for any water leaking out.

In my opinion, you need to know a person much more in order to actually "love" them. If you truly love someone it won't be based on one thing. You may not love every little thing about them, but you still love the whole package.
I think most people are attracted to one thing about the person at the beginning (like their looks, talents, personality), but that's just the initial attraction. That one thing should be what makes you want to get to know the person better and then you can truly love them.
In your case I think she really truly likes you. Usually, a crush is just based on looks. Since she hasn't seen you she must really like you for who you are. Chatting with someone without seeing them can be a great way to really get to know them because you aren't distracted by their looks. It sounds like you like each other and should just take things as they come. Enjoy each others personalities and get to know each other better. You never know, it could turn into love.
By the way, I hate to be preachy, but be careful about who you are talking to on the internet. There are a lot of weirdos out there... and GOOD LUCK!

The legal age of consent in Texas is 17. You could hang out with him, but any more and he could get in serious trouble. I would look for someone closer to your age so you don't have to worry about this. When you are older, 5 years won't be that big of a difference, but right now it may be too much for a healthy relationship.

On your desktop, there should be a bar with File, Edit, etc. Go to "Edit." Then, "Special Characters" and there should be a heart symbol that you can insert into certain applications.
