Q: Alright. So for about three years i had the same best friend. We were really close and nothing ever got in between us. After three years though, i met another girl who kinda took her place. We were best friends for about a year and a half, but then i met ANOTHER girl who also took the place of my other best friend. After a very short time, me and that girl got too much of each other. I really dont know what to do. It's like i can't have a best friend but i always have at least 5 really great ones. Can anyone relate or give advice on how to get used to my best friend's flaws?

First of all, ytou don't have to ahve a best friend, actaully a lot of people don't and that is tottaly fine amd Well what i think is that you shouldn't look for a PERFECT best friend becuase nobody is perfect, not to be rude but maybe your problem is accpeting people. Just accept your durrent best friend and you'll get along great, if she can't do the same for you, tell her that she shoulda nd if she can't she doesnt have her lessson learned. Try not to fight with them and just be real getntle when confronting them with a problem

you sound freakishly a lot like me, do you eevr think what could be causuing that, amybe you should try to spark something. Talk to him more and get his attetntion, but if you really have that gut feeling girl intution then you should prepare yourself, he might brek up with you, but hey if you know that you could always break up with him before he breask up with you, to be very blunt and honest.

i know what you mean, i had the same thing happen to me it's probbaly because the day before you walked or ran alot, think about what you did the day before and if u waled around for a long time or a ything like that, thats probbaly thr reason, it was for me

I have a best friend and a 2nd best friend. Unfortunately, they hate each other. Last year my best friend and I made fun of my 2nd best friend endlessly. Then she found out...it was a long and terrible time where I realized how rude I had been. Finally she forgave me. But she never forgave my best friend.

My best friend got a boyfriend in September. I realized this meant I wouldnt be spending as much time with her as he went to a different school district so they hung out on the weekends. I only became super upset twice 1) on my 16th birthday weekend she chose to hang out with her boyfriend rather than me (and we did have plans...sadly they also included her boyfriend and his family) 2) she invited me over but spent 5 hours on the phone with her boyfriend with me just sitting in her bed watching tv. I think we only hung out once or twice other than that. The thing is, I hung out with my 2nd best friend during those four/five months they dated. She was there for me on my birthday weekend when I was a crying mess because my best friend didnt want to be there for me. We hung out and got closer. Then my best friend and her boyfriend broke up. Since then is when the trouble started...

My 2nd best friend got in a fight with another friend about my other friend writing Yellowcard lyrics and saying they were hers. Which led to my best friend telling my 2nd best friend to leave my other friend alone. Which led to basically a fight. I told all of my friends "I do not want to be involved in this fight." I was in an awkward position and had no idea what to do other than do nothing and let them all work out there problems. Well, my 2nd best friend insulted my best friend nad my best friend argued with her and such on so forth.

I had made plans with 2nd best friend to see FD3. Then my best friend invited me and I also told her yes. When I realized what I had done I had no idea what to do. I decided to go with 2nd best friend because 1) I told her yes first 2) she could get my little sister in also & my little sister really wanted to see it more than me. I think that made my best friend jealous even though we made plans to go see Date Movie that same weekend (later cancelled bc she went to Florida the same day as plans).

On Fri. morning I had to talk to a teacher and I was walking with my 2nd best friend when my best friend came up with my yellowcard friend. They say meet them in the caf after I talk to the teacher and I say 'ok' but the teacher wasnt in her room she was in the main lobby so I had to go to the main lobby. This causes problems because I saw my best friend/yellowcard friend in the hall and they thought I had just ditched them. I could tell my friend was mad because I said hi to her then and she waved but made a "whatever" face. Then I had another friend (not yellowcard friend) tell me later "this situation with your 2nd best friend and best friend is trouble. your best friend is going to do something soon." Then I get on the bus and my sister tells me that my best friend was talking about the situation to the lunch table. She said that she was upset mad something was wrong with her. I cant remember even what was wrong with her. Basically it all sums up to she felt I was spending to much time with my 2nd best friend instead of her. She thought I was making fun of her like we did to my 2nd best friend last year or something. I dont even know what she was thinking. I was so mad. I mean...shes telling everyone she has a problem with me but ME. And my other friend (not the yellowcard friend) is telling my best friend not to talk to me and I'll see what I'm missing.

Basically I call my best friend up and say "whats going on, I'd really like to know why you are upset with me" and I say "the teacher was in the lobby, not in her room. I could tell you were mad because I saw you make a face." she says "no I wasnt mad about that that was yellowcard friend". I said "well, what is this about" and she said "other friend (not yellowcard friend) thinks that since we are best friends you should have no problem telling 2nd best friend that you want to hang out with me" and I'm like "well, if this is about FD3 then I told her yes first. And also, when you were dating your boyfriend she was there for me a lot. I dont want to just stop hanging out with her because now you are available to hang out. I dont think that would be right." and she said "no I'm not mad about that weekend." I have no idea what other days she was talking about because my 2nd best friend and I havent really hung out maybe once or twice outside of school the past 2 months. She said that in the mornings she wishes I would walk with her some (which makes no sense because I try to split my time evenly but I dont know what to do when they both come to me and want to walk with me. I dont want to make the other one mad by telling them I'm walking with so and so because I know that they would both be upset I chose the other. I know thats the way those two are). She said "well I was talking to my mom and we both think its weird how when 2nd best friend says that you are her best friend that you dont say 'no best friend is my best friend' and I said "2nd best friend and I have an understanding about this, we've discussed this before. when she says I'm her best friend she means she thinks I'M HER best friend. She knows best friend is my best friend." Then she said "and it hurts that you didnt defend me when 2nd best friend talked about me. if someone was talking about you I know I would say something." and I understand where she is coming from, but I had repeatedly told both of them I didnt want anything to do with there fight because they had put me in a situation. I figured it was their fight and if they wanted to fight it they could go ahead but I didnt support either side. Then she went to work. While we were having this phone conversation another girl who sits at my best friends lunch table but is friends with my 2nd best friend told my 2nd best friend what my best friend had said about us at lunch. That made my 2nd best friend mad and she wrote this big long thing about it on xanga. My best friend texted me later and said "why did you tell 2nd best friend what we talked about" and I said "I didnt. That was "girl". Why do you have such a problem trusting me." Then we called and talked more. And I told her how 2nd best friend was there when she had basically ignored me while she was with her boyfriend (I cited bother incidents) I also said then we hung out once but the whole time we sat in fishbone while you flirted with the worker (twice this happened actually).

Apparently, to her, we resolved it. But I am still upset. I feel I did nothing wrong but have another friend. And my best friend felt threatened by our friendship and insecure by her. She assumed I was doing stuff I wasnt and it hurts that she didnt trust me. And that fact that she was mad at me when she did worse and turned my one friend against me really hurts. I dont know...she even made a myspace post about how she wants to leave this town and she cant talk to me and about basically how I have been a shitty best friend.

What should I do about this? I really want to say something about how I feel like I did nothing wrong but I'm not sure. Did I do something wrong? Any help with this problem would be MUCH thankful.

I used to want to kill myself. ive never tried but those thoughts came to my mind often i just never took it into action. I have/Had this one friend named katie. Honestly ive always thought she was twofaced but i always thought to give her more chances... just because i thought she could get over her ways... well i was wrong. Before i met katie i had this best friend that ive known for 8 yrs. Her name is cortnie. Recently me and her have been in this big arguments and we have said hateful things. i highly doubt me and her will ever be friends again. Well anyways.... Katie has been cortnies friend for 2 yrs now and they have been hanging out and me and cortnie have been torn apart and we hardly ever hung out during her and katies friend ship. 5 days ago katie and cortnie got in this big argument because cortnie told some one somthing that katie said that she shouldnt of. so katie got mad at her. Katie betted this girl jessica that she wouldnt be friends with cortnie again. Well yesterday katie called me and she still wasnt friends with cortnie and now she is at her house with jessica. Cortnie has one of my hoodies and she hasnt gavin it back. i just asked her where it was and she said that she let some one borrow it. i yelled at her and told her that she wont get hers back unless she gets mine and i told her not to let anyone borrow my stuff. And then jessica got on the phone and said that if i beat up cortnie then she would fight me and i told her i wasnt scared of her. or anyone that was gunna fight me over cortnie... and so on. we got in a big argument. and then in the back ground i heard katie saying stuff. She was supposed to be my friend. and not take anyones side. Sometimes my heart accually hurts. i can feel it. No one ever believes me when i say that. Jessica got on the phone and was calling me fat. and seriously im not fat. i just need some one to talk to. does anyone have any ideas on what can take my mind off all this drama/stress/ and saddness.??

i'm really really sorry to hear that, ahve you ever heard of the yellow ribbon? it is a local place that you call and each sate has onea nd they help you with all your problems, they have operators stadning by waiitng to tlak to youa nd help you 24/7 and you can always call there and explain your problems and they are a big help. just look up yellow ribbon and youll find the site. til then baths are really theraputic and can help you feel alot better through this rough patch in your life. try to think that all of this will cahnge it might tkae a while but things ARE going tog et better and you just ahve to look on the brithgt side adn thigns are going to be okay, dont worry!

okay, well i can't belive i'm saying this but why don't youa nd your friends, pass notes or something, thats excitiing but i wouldn't do it. Think about what it is ABOUT school that you don't like, your not alone, althopugh i prefer going to school. maybe your school is just one of those hard, boring ones, sucks for you, but there are thigns you can do to make your school life more enjoyable. Talk with your friends more, maybe volunteer in clubs like the school counsela nd suggest thigns like pajama, 80's, hat, beach days. they are very fun and a lot of people support them, or you could just amke posters by yourself and pass them out telling evrybody your throwing a whatever day, these are REALLY fun. Maybe you could, TRY focusing more on the work more because then you would ahve something to do. or bring a notebook you can pass backa nd forth throughout youa nd your best friend, or small group of friends and promise theres no juding int he book, and nothing leaves the book, me and my friends do thisa nd it's great. i dont think that you should be sneaking out at night in the first place i mean, your parents and tehir parents would be so worried if they found out and very disapointed in you for making such a bad decision. Q: I have to admit, I loathe the cartoon "The Little Mermaid." Hate it to death. So today, my 6-year-old sister was watching it and driving me insane, but there was one song that caught my ear in the middle of the film, I think when that stupid girl was sitting in the boat with the prince. Q: my dog is a maltese and turning 2 years old [ i guess 14 in dog years ] and lately has been barking a lot at night. he used to when he first got here but stopped. about a week ago he started to bark after everyone goes to sleep. so i have to keep going down stairs and wake up and either hit his cage or take him out to the garage for him to run around and come in...but he keeps barking a few minutes after i go up. what should i do? should i try to tire him out by running with him or something right before we go to sleep? or will that have an opposite effect and have him wanting to play more? please i'm desperate - i havn't been able to sleep at all because i'm the only one who is willing to go downstairs. thanks in advance.

well first of all im really sorry you cant get any sleep! Second of all, since he is 2, there must be reason he barks, maybe try sleeping where he sleeps, or set up a camera or something to find out WAHT is causing him to bark. If that doesnt work then yes you definitely should try to tire him out before going to bed. That is a definite, if you tkae your dog OUT of his cage when he is barking then he will think that it's okay to barka nd he'll bark more and more and more because he knows you will tkae him out so therefore no matter hwat keep him inside his cage. After a while he should gtet used to it and if you are really really desperate theres always shock colers.

Q: I'm 16 and I’ve liked this guy for four months. We've been pretty good friends this year, and I got to know him well. I asked him to the school dance where girls ask guys, and we went together as friends. However, we both had a blast, and he asked me out last Thursday. Honestly, I was completely shocked, and I worried that he asked me without really thinking it through. Over the weekend, neither of us had time to see each other, and I was convinced that he was going to break up with me. On Sunday, the call came, and we talked about how different we were (I’m into my horses and country music while he spends his weekends at hard rock concerts, as an example), and how weird it felt to be dating because we were such good friends. It was obvious to both of us that there was no way for this to work out, and we broke up. He told me that he had liked me for a really long time and still did a lot. It’s really upsetting to me that we like each other, but that it’s not enough. You know? How can I get past this? I’m still completely crazy about him and he acts like he doesn't have a care in the world (if he is doing so well, I’m happy for him, really). But how do I move on?

Honestly, I really think that it is going to take time to get over him. Make sure you ahve all your friends support and understand your problem throuhgly so then they can try and comfort you when you are in a rough patch. Until then i think you should write down all your feelings about him, your bad feelings, like reasons why you broke up, embrace them, aknoledge their exsitence but don't get cauhgt up in the fact that your not together anymore and in what if's... Then tkae the box and put it far far away. FAR like really far!! yor thoughts about him will be cast away in the box.

well i was really nervousa nd shy and i thought that i would never get anywhere with a guy cuz i couldnt even tlak to one. Well heres the deal, in my opinion the only kinda person who can help you is the one who ahs been through the same thing and well i have so i know how you feel. Anyways, you should try and understand they are HUMAN they are just like a regular person and wont eat you or bite you the most they can do is think something of you that you dont want them to think but you know who really cares what they think??? its not like theyre better than gurls they are on the same exact level so dont let that botehr you, you have to find a guy who you can tlak to easily. Anybody, a teacher a family friend anybody. I founda guy frienda nd he tottaly helped me. Now i can tlak to guys so easily, its like magic. I really hope this helps. You should just try an find a guy frienda nd talk to him, anybody he could be teh biggest loser ever doesnt matter a guy is a guy and he will get you warmed up to otehrs trust me.

Q: hi..i was just curious ...do any of you have any tips on how to treat ur skin right so you break out less...like to control your face...i break out before my period..but usually i dont...how can i prevent and when it does break out how can i clear it up fast...any ideas...or what do you use that helps you??

well i use proactiv and it works great, watch out for dry skin from over-use though. I try to use it only at night cuz i personally dont like dry skin. also NEVER SKIP A DAY!! even if you are super tired @ night you are tottaly gonna regert it int he morning if u dont use it!! remember PROACTIV
