I'm a very avid jogger because I've deduced in my head that it's the only proper way to burn all the calories I eat.
But I'm having trouble accepting my calves, which are quite muscular now.
I don't like it. And I want them to shrink.
Is there anyway to minimize calf-muscle? (link)

Try exercises that are meant to slenderize, not build muscle. Pilates, Yoga, swimming, and even trying ballet can help. Streching a lot will also help. You can do other forms of cardio besides running that don't focus a lot on the legs.

FYI: I am a 20 year-old recent college grad. Both men I am referring to in this question are only slightly older than me and finishing their degrees.
"Joe" and I began dating 2 1/2 years ago. Our relationship was generally good when last summer (1 1/2 years in)he decided that he didn't want a serious girlfriend. Nothing mean or ugly, he was just being honest. I tried all summer to change his mind but finally gave. (We remained close friends.)
After dating around for a little while, I began seeing "Michael". Our relationship was somewhat rocky because we had both come out of relationships and he had been hurt many times before. During this time, Joe began to develop interest in having a relationship. I thought it over and eventually decided to try things again with Joe. (I stayed in close contact with Michael.)
Joe and I have a really easygoing relationship, but he refuses to discuss a more serious commitment. When we discuss it, he says he doesn't see us going in that direction at this point but is always careful to avoid losing me entirely. In the past few months, Michael has attempted to see other people to no avail. He is convinced that I am the only one for him. We have been getting along beatuifully, and Michael has done everything he to prove to me that we belong together. (Both are fully aware of each other and the current status.)
Michael wants me to leave Joe and become engaged to him. (He's even looking at rings.) I am seriously considering this. I love both men very much (in somewhat different ways) and could she myself happily married to either (in 2-5 years). The difference here is that Michael is willing to commit and Joe is not. Both have treated me very well; although Michael is romantic (flowers) while Joe is considerate (fixs my car). Is there any point in continuing to wait for Joe or should I leave him and accept the proposal from Micheal? (link)

This is no time to make rash decisions, so try a little experiment, if you will. Tell Joe that you really love him, but you need some sort of commitment, and Michael can give that to you. Ask him if he can REALLY see a future with the two of you together. Do some soul searching. Get pen and paper and clear your mind, then let Joe come to your head. Write down thoughts, words, feelings, all that come into your head. Focus on the good. Try to write down exactly how and how much you love him. How much you care. Do the same for Michael. Can they compare? Really, I think it's impossible to be in true love with two people. You may be in love with the idea of Michael and his commitment, his romantic and sensitive side, but are you in love with him? Which person could you not imagine living your life without? If you still find yourself confused, try a serious relationship with Michael. See if Joe steps up to the plate and offeres commitment, reconsider. But really, just search your heart. You will find the answer.

Since summer is about to start, I want to get rid of the hair on my arms. I usually wax them- which is highly painful, but I've been looking into possibly using something like nair. I was just wondering if those ACTUALLY worked well. I have pretty dark hair on light skin. Does nair work? or do you have any other suggestions for getting rid of hair less painfully...I know any method is gonna be somewhat painful...and have it last for a long time? (link)

Nair does work, but it's a bit tempremental. You have to put it on thickly and wait about 5 minutes (even though the bottle says three) and you have to scrub the stuff off, not just wash it, or the hairs wont get pulled out. And it doesn't work that well on stubble, so you have to wait for the hair to grow out again to use it. It's actually a bit more work then shaving, and lasts as long, but shaving your arms would be difficult, I imagine. I recommend nair-ing before showering, because it smells disgusting and you'll need to scrub it off.

Hey. I'm getting my belly button pierced tomorrow. I have really low pain tolerance and passed out when I got my ears done.

I've heard from people that getting the area to be pierced clamped hurts more then the piercing. When you got your ears done, it was probably the fear that made you pass out, not the pain. You can minimize the pain though.
Take asprin a half and hour before. Bring an ice pack and keep it on your stomach. Take deep, relaxing breaths and zone out. Think about your favorite things. Just close your eyes and dont worry.

i have this project at school where i have to make a collage on things that relate to me.. and i want to put pictures of me and my family and friends, but also put clippings from newspapers.. like i like sports like soccer, volleyball, basketball, dance.. and i like other cute girly things too, and etc. where can i find magazines that have stuff i can cut out and put in my project? i really want it to be like 3D and not just the collages where you paste everything on Microsoft word or something. All the magazines below work, but you can easily make things 3D. Get styrofoam sheets, all of different thickness, and glue paper on to them. It gives great textures and looks!

i want to cut my hair when school ends.
i want a drastic change, something short, but not so much that i can't feel my hair on the back of my neck.
at the shortest i would like it chin length with my bangs a little shorter, at the longest i'd like it two inches off each.
the only problem is i don't know if it would look good with my face.
and i don't really want something plain like shorter cut and bangs, i want a whole new style, but not something i would have to curl or straighten my hair with.
by the way, i'm fourteen going into high school and have very straight dark/light brown hair.

I think you should go for either a blunt bob, or a angled bob. Both fill out faces and work with thin hair. Add side bangs to that, and maybe a few layers, and it should be really cute. I really would love to do that, but I'm to chicken :)

im going to high school next year and i want a laptop for my school assignment cause my dad said they slow down our home computer.
I love art alot. so i want Photo shop, but i dont know what types there are or how much they cost. and if they work on laptops.

Photoshop is expensive, but they'll work on lap tops. I don't recommend a mac. They aren't a leading brand so their incompatitble with a lot of common programs and softwares.

I just got a new bathing suit, and i got 2 tops w/ one bottom peice. One top is a tankini, and the other is a bikini (and fits loads better than the tankini), but its one of the non-slutty ones. The problem is, i'm a total chicken and don't know if i have enough guts to wear the bikini in public. I've only ever worn one peices and tankinis, so i'd feel pretty awkward. I have a pretty average body, too. i'm definitely not fat, but i don't have a perfect body, by any means. so, should i just stick to the tankini? or if i should wear the bikini, how can i overcome the insecurities? Confidence, baby. Trust me, Im super nervous when I put on a bikini to. But once you get to the pool and are having fun with your friends, all inhibitions dissapear. You don't need a models body to wear a bathing suit, just there confidence. Get a cute cover up to go over the suit so you can hide it when you want and flaunt it as well.

I'm not sure what category this would be in, but I really like writing stories in my freetime, I don't exactly know why, but I always have. Even when I was little I used to make up my own stories and write them down.
Anyway, I noticed that you're only 14 and I'm just a year behind you. You said you were a published author, and I just want to know, how did you get published? How does it work? Do you send your stories into someone? (link)

Oooh, your a writer like me :) Getting published can be really easy, or extremely hard. Publishing a full book, now thats hard. Anyway, I've been mainly published for my poetry, and my poems were in a book of young writers for my state. Basically you just send your poems in to the place and if they like it they'll send you stuff and it becomes published. There are places that do that for short stories as well. I've also done book reviews for a newspaper, and that was as simple as sending the review in. Easy! But, if your looking to publish something like a novel one day, you'll definitely have to start small. What helps me is the internet, where I post my stories for people to read. I get amazing feedback, and it's great experience and practice. There are plenty of sites you can do this on.(check out mine if you want, links on my page)
If you ever want something published, after going through extreme processes of writing drafts and improving your skills, getting it reviewed by others, you send it to publishing houses. Usually just excerpts, because they don't have time to read all of it. Most authors send their books to a ton of companies before even getting a positive response. It's a big process, but definitely worth it.

You could take a picture of yourself and cut it out like a puzzle for him to do (you can make that online too), you can make word find puzzles online and print them using words like your name, his name, places and things you've done together, etc. You could also write little poems for him and anagrams that he can solve, or add fun facts about yourself that he didnt know. Have fun!

Im making my mother a poem book (its forceful, acutally, lol) because Im a writer. Take your talent and use it. Or if you want something really simple, burn her a cd of her favorite songs and make a really cute cd cover, and add a little something extra, like a candle. I dont know a mom who doenst like candles, lol.

me and my boyfriend dry hump kind of a lot, and one time we did and he had boxers and athletic shorts on and i had just my underwear and stuff.. No. No way you are pregnant. Pretty much, if his penis did not enter your vagina, you are not pregnant. Sperm can be tricky like that, but it cant travel through layers of clothing and make it's way to your uterus. Don't worry :) But if you and your bf do decide to have actual sex, avoid worries like this and protect yourselves.

I got my period 3 years ago. I went to the doctor this year and I had my hand examined(the bones determine if I still have a chance of growing)..And my bones were fused. Your boobs can grow, you are still young. Boobs also change sizes throughout life, so nothing is really permanant. B is not considered big, but it's a respectable size. And it depends on your body type. B's can look big on smaller people while like A's on larger or taller people.

How can you wash a Vera Bradley purse? I'm buying a bermuda pink hobo Vera Bradley that needs to be "laundered", but I'm not quite sure what that entails. Can I do it on a gentle wash in the washing machine and let it air dry or will that ruin it? (link)

Instructions should have came with the bag, but you can wash it. Delicate cycle, gentle/mild detergent, and let it sit to dry. Take out the board on the bottom.

Can anyone give me an honest opinion how to or how do you pick out a dress?
For the style, do I pick a style that's in right now, style I like, or style I feel comfortable in?
For colour, do I pick a colour I think is IN right now, my favourite colour, or a colour that suits and contrast and goes good with my skin tone?
I'm having so much stress right now because grd is coming and half the girls want poka dotted dresses and onyl one shop is selling them (dun dun dun) and everyone's scared they might get the same one. i just don't know what to get there's so many styles I want but I'm nto sure if it'll fit in or stick out too much (link)

Dress shopping can be fun! If you shop at a popular mall or store, you cant really go too wrong because all have similair styles that are in style. Pick a shape and cut that flatters your body. Pick a color that goes well with your hair, skin, and eyes. (like blue eyes with a blue dress, or a green dress with red hair). Try not to go for something to trendy. If their are a bunch of girls in the same dress or very similair, you wont get noticed. Go for something a little different! Bring a friend along with you so you can get an honest opinion. Just make sure you feel comfortable in the dress, and that it makes you feel like a princess. Thats what I go by :)

okay so like a couple week ago i came down stairs at night to throw my stuff in the wash and like walking down the stairs i saw my brother on the comp like with his hand down his pants and then like when he realized i was coming down he exited a website (wonder what kind that was.. ew.) and moved his hands. and i just like blowed it off. i mean i dont want to say anything. and then i think that happened one or two other times. and i think hes embarrassed or thinks im stupid and like dont know what hes doing (or since i blow it off he prob. thinks i don't realize)but serouisly.. im 14. i know what hes doing..
and TONIGHT. EWW. omg so i came down to get paper from the comp at like 11:00 because tomarrow is bring your child to work day and im not going to school so i decided to stay up late and work on a project. and i saw him like naked or no pants on.. on the comp. and i just looked away and walked into the laundry room. and he liked close a web. and again i blew it off. and like he'll just try to blow it off too. and just ew. i think he knows i know but just tries to act stupid. i never say anything about it. cause. how awqward.
and it just like grosses out because its MY BROTHER. and like hes not exacually the most attractive guyy so that just makes it like 1238 times grosser. ah. this is really disturbing me.
oh yeahh and like he makes it obvouis when hes gonna do it or whatever. like since you know i walk past the comp to get into the laundry room he'll always be like so are you going to do your laundry now? or throw your laundry in now. ill just be like okayyyyy.... because he doesnt want me to come downstairs while hess doing whatever. Confront him. It's a natural thing, but you shouldn't have to see it. And porno websites aren't the greatest either. Tell him that you know what he's doing and you would appreciate it if he took it to his room so you didn't have to see.
