Hey. I'm getting my belly button pierced tomorrow. I have really low pain tolerance and passed out when I got my ears done.
What should I expect?

It really doesn't hurt like your ears, it's more of an uncomfortable feeling. The clamp feels like someone is pinching your belly button really hard, but it's not a big deal. When they actually pierce your belly button you just feel pressure on it because they do it so fast that it isn't painful. The only part that really hurts is when they put the jewelry in because they have to remove the needle and put the jewelry in and it takes a couple of seconds for then to put it in so it's kind of sore. Good luck and don't worry about the pain! [ MyHappyShoe's advice column | Ask MyHappyShoe A Question ]

Take asprin a half and hour before. Bring an ice pack and keep it on your stomach. Take deep, relaxing breaths and zone out. Think about your favorite things. Just close your eyes and dont worry.

OR, you might not, because you already know what to expect (somewhat), and you will be less afraid because you have went through the peircing experience before.
Anyways, it does hurt more than ear peircings. I would most definetly bring a friend or someone you trust, so that you can talk to them and kind of distract yourself when you are there. Take some advil or tylenol with you to ease the pain.
Hope I helped!!! Don't stress yourself over it, or you are going to make this whole experience even more stressful. [ MAK's advice column | Ask MAK A Question ]
