Hello, I am seventeen years old.And I am currently a Senior at my high school.
I like giving advice.
One day, I want to make a living out of it.
There's really nothing in the world that I like more than:
Music [New Wave, Electronic, Alternative, HipHop]
Photography [I take many pictures]
Friendships [They're really important me]
& Helping out people [I am always helping out]
There's really not a lot to me.
Other than I like to help out people.
Sometimes, I think that I should take my own advice.

I write for my high school's student newspaper. Writing about the election and the school's sports is starting to get very over-done. What kinds of things does your school's paper include? I live in a small town, so we don't have many major news such as drug busts or things to that effect.
Any creative ideas your paper does?
Well, my school news papers has:
- Movies To See section
- Music To Download
- Problems going around the school.
- Things to do after school.
- You could right about recent school activities.
** You should ask kids in your school what they'd like to see in the school newspaper. I'm pretty sure that would give you an idea to what they want.

The other day my brother and I saw a music video but we don't know what song it was!

Hey! I'm about fifteen and a half, but I'll be sixteen on June 24, just a few days after summer vacation begins.
So, I'm hoping to get a summer job and to maybe start learning how to support myself a bit more. Like, I've ALWAYS been the baby of the family. My mom actually DOES still tuck me in at night with my baby blanket. NO joke :/
But I'm watching the Hills for the first time, online, and thining WOW! I'm almost sixteen. I don't want to end up like my brother, stuck at home at 21.
Sorry, I digress.
But bottom line-- where can I work at age 16? NO fast food places please. I live in Virginia, if it helps.
Retail. Retail is constantly looking for new, young employers. Look at the stores in the mall where young teens like to hang out. Stores like that usually hire young people. Perhaps the library, theme park (if any), music store. You should try places where young people hang out.

I am a freshman business major at a university with a highly renowned business program. however, i am unsure of whether or not I would really like to pursue business as a career. I've always been interested in helping careers such as education or psychology, but my parents say that business is a more practical choice. I am going to major in marketing in the business school because I love to be creative, so I feel that out of anything in business, marketing would be the best fit for me. I have looked into a few internships and jobs that I might enjoy, but I'm afraid that once I get a job it will be something I will enjoy only for a few years before I yearn for something that I feel makes a positive impact on people more directly.
I decided to double major with Linguistics with a track in Psychology (I'd be taking half Linguistics and half Psych classes for this major) and minor in Spanish. This way I could decide to teach English, Spanish, or Psych...or even later pursue a career in Psychology by going to grad school.
Does this sound like a good plan? I'm wondering if I should drop business entirely, but I'm afraid it will be a mistake since my school is so good.
Well, if you're interested in business you can be an Engineering psychologist. What they do is: An engineering psychologist is an applied scientist who develops knowledge concerning the abilities and limitations of humans to sense, store, and process information, and to act. This knowledge is applied to the design, use, and maintenance of human/machine systems.
If you're interested in marketing. Perhaps Social psychology will interest you. What they do is explore how we live in the world. Pop cultural, group behavior, the media, and our attitudes and opinions are all part of social psychology.
I think that you would still take business with those two classes since it has to do with businesses. And as for the launguage, it doesn't hurt to have an extra language in your resume (:

ok so im going to be on the swim team for the first time this year. if you join you automatically get in. how to i train to get prepared for swim. i run at least 3 times a week is there anything else i can do? Is there anything i should be prepared for?
It wouldn't hurt to practice laps in the pool. You should have days where you're just practiving you strokes and stuff. And you should have days where someome is timing and you & you're just working on time. Running, is good. Perhaps doing some weights for your arms, so they can become stronger.

OK so i have this guy who is just my friend. we are really close and he has helped me so much in the last few months that i want to get him a really nice gift. it would be like a holliday/thanks gift but i dont know wat to get him. he is 14 and we have known eachother for a really long time. i was thinking a DVD and something else like a gift card but i want it to mean more then that. I once gave my best guy friend of his favorite band and a home made card, and he liked it. Perhaps you can do that. Or maybe his favourite movie on DVD with something special that symbolizes your friendship. Like with me & my friend a rabbit symbolized how we met. So I get to put like a little rabbit on the card.

I am trying to decide what i want to be be (i am a senior in a high school, and i will be going to college next year).
I am a girl, and i am looking for a job (i think) related to social work. i love kids, and i love helping people. I am looking for a generally high paying job (I don't mean to sound stuck up). I'm thinking something like an adoption agent.
ALSO...do you know what the school/ degree requirements are for an adoption agent, or a social worker (or any other carreer suggestions you may have.)

how do i disable this, so when i get a new friend not everyone sees who it is?

It doesn't show the people they're friends with it just shows bands, comedians, etc. To make this not show:
1) Go to your friend updates
2) Click on "Edit Settings"
It's going to say "Latest updates" "Preferences" etc.
3) Click on "Privacy Settings"
4) Uncheck "Become Friends with a Band, Filmmaker, Comedian or Brang"
& There you go!

Ok so there is this new guy at my school. He has been going here for about 2 weeks almost 3. I kinda like him which is weird because I don't really know him. More like interested I guess. He has 2 of my classes and rides my bus. I really want to talk to him but I really don't know what I would say. I can't ask him his name. I would be a little late for that and would look stupid. So I can't talk to him during class, he sits too far away. So what do you think I should do? I really want to get to know him a little and get him to like me, at least as a friend. Well, you could always sit next to him on the bus. Just sit next to him and start making conversation. Maybe you could be like "You're new to this school?" and you can keep asking him how he likes it at his next school, stuff like that. Maybe when you're in class and you you have an assignment with partners, yu could ask him to be his partner.

Okay, so I have this problem with constantly biting my nails. I'm trying to grow them out and so far they're longer then they've been in a long time. I was wondering though if theres some kind of nail polish that makes them stronger, or tastes AWFULL.
Ive already tried thinking about the discusting crap that is under them..and it works for like a milla-second.

Well, it takes about a month to get rid of a habbit. I had the same problem as you. What I did was put regular nail polish on, and when I put my fingers in my mouth I would taste the nail polish and it reminded me not to bite my nails.

No matter what I do, I can't get my husband to send me nice sms's or emails. But recently I went trough his mail, and found pics to another man? What am I doing wrong here.
You're not doing anything wrong. But I think you should really find out what's going on. You should talk to him and tell him how you feel about him not sending you nice emails or anything. Most guys just aren't into that. And if he is cheating, you should leave him. But do what I do. Get the full side of the story before you jump to conclusions.

so i broke up from my one year realtionship with this guy that i really loved, we had sex and all. we broke up because he had to leave to another country and i miss him lots, its been a month sonce the breakup, and im not so depressed and sad anymore, im kinda ok again. but i still miss him alot. the thing is there is another guy likes me now, i don't know if im ready or what... and i dfont want to hurt him either! help please... thanks!!
You should tell the other guy about your previous relationship. Tell him that you were in a serious relationship and that you miss the guy. If you're not ready, ask him to give you some time. Maybe you can try going out but just have him know that you're still going to miss the other girl. Perhaps he'd get the other guy out of your head while you're together. If you are, all I can say is to go for it.

My boyfriend loves me and I love him and we both care about each other a lot and we would both do anything for one another. But last night he had almost broken up with me because he is scared.
He's afraid to get close to people especially if it's a girlfriend... with all his previous relationships he goes out with the girl and then leaves them when he gets scared.
I would of just let him break up with me if i didn't think we didn't have something special. I can really see him and I together in the future and he feels the same.
I've told him to hold on and we'll make it and that this is different and I've told him he can make it over his fear.
But he's still scared and I've explained to him that I don't want to lose him and that he means everything to me. He told me he loves me too but he's terrified to get close....
I don't know what else I can do or say i just absolutely love this man and will do whatever it
takes to keep him.

Well, all I can say is that you should really talk to him. Tell him, that you're not like other girls and that you really love him. Make sure to tell him that you feel that what you guys have us something special. Perhaps you should try some couple counseling. Maybe some counselor (lack of a better word) can help your boyfriend get through the fear of getting too close. It's prefect normal, but still. You love him and he loves you. I think getting help would be a good idea.
