Okay, my high school play is To Kill a Mocking Bird. Whats it about? Is it dramatic, comedic, or a mix? What kind of monologue would be good for the audition. Also what parts could a freshman girl with brown hair be good at?

To Kill a Mocking Bird is an amazing novel by Harper Lee. It has a warm, humorous feeling to it, but at the same time it's deals with serious issues.

You could play Scout. She's the narrator and the main character.
Other females in the story are: (The only young one is Scout)
Calpurnia: Work's for Scout's family.
Aunt Alexandra: Scout's aunt.
Maudie Atkinson: One of Scout's neighbor.
Mayella Ewell: Acuses a black man of raping her.
