Hi I'm Ali. I'm 15 and I'm in 10th grade. *Yay!* I'm origionally from New York but I moved up to Maine. I have a sister who is 13 and a 3 year old brother. At the moment my 17 year old cousin is living with us. He just moved in around april. Long story. I tend to be shy at first but I eventually warm up. I'm always the one my friends turn to for advice or just for someone to talk to. My dad is a phsychiatrist so I wonder if it's in my genes. *lol* I can be very fun, but also serious when I need to be. I tend to make good grades but I have to work for them. So thats me! Not too interesting. Oh well.

okay well theres this one boy who i really like. hes not that good looking lol but hes really nice and funny and i like him a LOT! well anyways he says he likes me too (i dont know if i believe him cuz hes said that to gurls before but he didnt really like them i guess) and in the halls he always touches me and says hi and stuff.. well he has a gf. they have been going out for like months. they recently "did it" even tho shes 13 and hes like 15. well i like him a LOT and cant stop. well what im asking is do u think he likes me if he says hi and we talk online a lot and he flirts with me.. im confused about this. :-\
He may like you, but he may not. Flirting, chatting online, and saying hi to each other doesn't necessarily mean he likes you. Tons of people flirt even though they don't like each other, and yes, he may juts want some. It's sad, but very possible true. If he has a girlfriend you shouldn't get too close to hime "in that way yet" If you want to show him your interested wait untill they break up, and after they break up give him even more time. I've been in the situation before and havn't got the guy. Well, at least not yet. *lol* I'm too shy. But good luck, and I know you can't help liking him.
I'm getting my braces off in about a month. I just wanna kno what it's like, if it hurts or not, stuff like that, so if u ever got ur braces off, tell me what happens and does it hurt?

Yes it does hurt, don't let anyone tell you it doesn't. Your teeth are also sore for a few days and it feels really weird after they take them off. I would take some tylenol or something. It does not hurt anymore then having them put on though. Enjoy your *new* teeth!
Ok see i have this friend and we have known each other since we were little. For the last two years he has liked me and i dont know if i like him i tryed to go out with him once but i dont know i felt weird, so i broke up with him and never told anyone i went out with him. But see if he is going out with someone else i suddenly get jelgous and want to be his gurlfriend but when he isnt going out i dont really like him as much. I think you're only jealous because you think that his girlfriends could take him away from you. Obviously you care very much for him. You may also get scared that she may break his heart, and you do not want his heart broken. So don't worry, I think that you're only jelous because you want him to pay as much attention to you as he did before his girlfriend. I don't think that you actually want to be his girlfriend. ok well i love my make-up....but i need some good kinds....like as for eyeliner i use wet n wild or sometimes nyc pencil.....but i want it so it stays on longer and i can get it as dark as possible...is there a cheap kind (under $5) that will give me that effect? wut about liquid? thanx!
The best kind is clinique quickliner for eyes. It's like a pencil, but it lasts all day and sometimes you can't even get it off! You can get it pretty dark. the only problem is that it's $14.50. I can't say I know any cheap kinds that actually work well. If you do want to splurge though go with the clinique. It's awesome!

I defiantly know the feeling. But if you feel like your friends are blocking you then amybe you should talk to them. Because if you have the right friends, you can forget that there is no guy. I'm 13...There's a guy I like, and he's 14 and he's awesome. I really don't talk to him a lot because he's my best friend's older brother and I don't want to be like, "Yeah, I wanna go talk to your brother..See ya." Or anything like that. I really do like him, he used to tease me in a flirty way and he used to stare at me and we used to smile at each other, but I don't know what's going on with him now. All of a sudden he's become...hostile..or something. I said Hi to him and he was like, "Get away from me!" I have mixed emotions about him now, I don't know whether I should move on or not. My sister, who's ona never ending mission to hook us up, tells me that it was only that day he was different and that he likes me back. I can't stop thinking that maybe he'll always be like that, maybe I should move on...should I move on or keep on going for the same guy? I'm so mixed up..
He's just being a teenage boy. They have mood swings, too you know. Maybe he had just had a bad day. You really should let that slide. The only probablem with this relationship would be that it might ruin you and your friends relationship. If this friendship is in danger you should try and get over her brother. alrighty then my best friend that i've been bests friends w/ for like 4 yrs won't speak to me. and i had no idea why until yesterday --- i'm going out w/ chris and i just found out that she had feelings for him and i told her that i'd break up w/ him just so she could try to have him and she wont say a word and i try to talk to her but she just ignores me so i dont know if i should break up w/ chris...i mean i really really like him and he treats me right.....doesnt try to have sex w/ me, he just holds my hand and kisses me, and is always there when i need him most...i just dont know wat to do...help please i need it

It sounds like you really like Chris a lot. But on the other hand, there's you friend who likes him a lot, too. You obviously didn't know she had feelings for him when you started dating so why should you deprive yourself of such a nice guy? You need to talk to your friend and she should understand that your happy with him. I mean, even if she likes him she needs to accept the fact that so do you and your happy. If she doesn't then maybe you and your friend need a break. Good luck.
okay there's this guy at school...his names chris and i've liked him for a year now and last year we had 4 classes together and this year we have 4 classes together again! and we've been talking alot and he's sooo hot! and last friday night at the football game he sat down by me on the hill and i pulled out a pack of gum and he said "you know you wanna give me a piece of that right" and so i pulled out a piece and tried to hand it to him but he wouldn't take it...so i was like "uhhh" lol and he said "my arms are too tired i need you to unwrap it and put on my tongue" and omg he stuck out his tongue!!! i laughed and blushed and did it and then we just talked the rest of the night! does he like me?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? HELP PLEASE!!

i love my bf but i dont know what to do. last year i really liked this guy, we had a lot of fun but never went out. this year we are in no classes together though. i saw him at lunch the first day of school. our eyes met and i felt really hurt. i feel such a deep connection with him, but i feel like i just like my bf as a crush. i dont want to break my bf's heart, he is wonderful. im so upset, i dont know what to do now.

Well, tomorrow night i'm getting my hair done and I'm thinking of dying it brown with some highlights. My hair is blonde right now, and I have fair skin. My natural color is a light brown, so do you think it would look nice on me? If not, what are some good colors for someone with fair skin? Thanks a lot!! I really need the help haha.
I thnik your headed in the right direction! If your hair is naturally light brown, go with a brown, either lighter or darker than natural. I would say darker. Maybe and auburn. That would be beautiful with the right highlights. Good luck!
My friend and I were talking tonight. We started talking about slitting your wrists, and I asked her if she'd ever done it. She was really weary and said "maybe..." and then I said "Have you?" and she's like "I tried it. It hurt." and I'm like "How old were you?" and she said "13...or 14." (She's 15) and then we talked, and she's like "I DON'T WANNA TALK ABOUT IT ANYMORE!" but then she's like "I'm just kidding, I don't.". She's a strong Christian and she's only 15. She wears TONS of bracelts all up her arms. Do you think she was really joking, or just insecure and really does it? I don't want to talk to her about it, incase she gets madder...
You need to talk to her again. Even if she does get mad. Personally i think she was just insecure, but I don't know her and I don't want to judge. You sound like a good friend who really cares about her friends. Just when you talk to her make sure she knows that you care, and that you'll still like her even if she did do it. I have the same problem and I've tried to have a regular "bedtime schedual" before I go to sleep. Which usually includes reading. It also helps if you have a really boring school bookswhich can put you to sleep. I hope something that someone says will work! Have a good night.
I need help. I need to look for an article about something that's going on in the world (the war in iraq, etc) So I can write a summary and present it to my class. Thing is I just dont know what article to use. I was going to do Iraq, but I already know thats what everyone's gonna do. ok my friend jessica has a HORRIBLE problem! she never stops sweating. even shes sitting down shes sweating. People usually sweat when there hot or doing physical activity but she sweats when shes sitting on the couch and watching tv. she was too embarased to ask this question online so i told her that i would do it for her (ima good friend lol) shes tried ALL diff deoderants and NOTHING can stop it. its only under arm sweating and its gotten so bad. please help her! thanks!

Last weekend , iwent to my moms house and from there i went to this guy named harry's house. Well he was sick and i guess i stayed around him alot so i think i caught we he has had. We didnt share dirnks or whatever,but like i have the worse throat pains and sinus problems let alone bad headaches and stomach as well.He says he had bronchitus ,but do you think i could've got it as well ? each day it gets worse.

You should definatly go for it. Just practice over the summer a little. The couch can't be expectimg you to be amazing or anything. Just remember that during tryouts you cannot be doubting yourself! Just focus on the game and I'm sure you'll do fine. Personally I don't know any basketball tips because I'm not on a team but for getting in shape: run, bike, workout in the gym, even dance! Just make sure to do it daily! Good luck!
hi. i am very sad and i cannot stop crying because both of my parents refuse to get me braces. i really need them and i hate smiling because my teeth are So crooked, and everyone stares. i would feel so much better if i had them and i would stop crying everyday. i know that writing this isnt gonna help me; hence i feel helpless. "we cant afford it", they say. but when it comes to buying something expensive for themselves my parents suddenly can. i'm not going to get into my family because i really dont wanna talk about my neglegence and abuse. anywho..i just dont know what to do. i hate looking at all my happy friends with their braces. i really dont want to get a reply such as "dont care about what they think," or "theres people out there that have less then you." because frankly, i dont really care.
Sounds like this is a matter that means a lot to you. If they say they can't afford it try raising the money yourself. Even if you believe that they truely can afford it, ignore that and just think about the job you have to do. I wish I could tell you a great job for you but I really don't know you. You could try babysitting, or a bakesale. You also say you don't want to talk about your neglegance and abuse. Are you being abused? Or do you think that things arn't fair? I just don't want you saying things like that if they arn't true because yoyu could really worry people. Like when i read that it worried me a little. But about the braces. I wish you the best luck. Braces usually cost around $3,00 - $5,000 depending on where you live. You should talk to your grandparents or other relatives about your wanting of braces. Good luck!
Hey! I'm going back to school on Thursday and I'm all set but there are two problems: I don't know what to do with my hair and how I should do my makeup. Well here's a little information about me: I'm 5'5, tan skin, blue/green eye, and I have dark brown shoulder length hair. For the first day of school, I'm gonna wear cute tight jeans, a cute polo shirt that has a few buttons unbuttoned with a tank top underneath. What should I do with my hair like straighten it, scrunch it, etc and how should I do my makeup like what eye shadow and eye liner colors and etc? Thanks!
Try straigtning your hair. That always looks nice with polo shirts. What color is your shirt? I would say go with a navy eyeliner black/brown mascara, and a soft eyeshadow. It really depends what color your shirt is. But go with maybe a light blue or very light pink. Good luck!
