this might sound dumb but im not from the US so dont know what a freshman or somophore is...can anyone help me out!!?? do you have any other names also?

A freshman can also be someone in the first year of their profession (for example, a freshman attorney is an attorney who has been practicing less than one year) and a sophomore is somone in their profession more than one year but less than two (a sophmore attorney has been practicing more than one but less than two years).

There is this guy I had HUGE crash on, recently kissed me(by the fact he kissed me, I thought he somehow likes me). But for some reasons we didn't see each other since. (for about 4 months) I finally put in all my courage to asked him out early this week. He said yes, and we even pick a place and time to meet already.
In the morning of date we suppose to go out, he called and cancelled it. No reason really given.
What does this mean?

He's not that into you. Don't sweat it. And don't waste anymore time on him. You deserve someone who wants to be with you and shows up when you have a date.

yesterday i was in the tanning bed (wearing goggles)
i felt a bug or sumthin fly on me so i took my google off to get the bug off. they were only off like 2 mins.
now, i have something on one eye that looks like pink eye and it hurts really bad. was it from the tanning bed or just pink eye? (link)

If you use the salon's goggles, it is very possible you got pink eye from them (you should buy your own set for about $5 and then you'll always know where they've been). When I used to tan, I never wore goggles (although I certainly don't recommend this) and never had any problems with my eyes. I seriously doubt your ocular problem is from taking off the goggles.

Ok, me and my boyfriend are both 17 and have been dating for almost 6 months. We have had sex without a condom twice and im not on any type of birth control. The first time was Oct. 25 and the second was Nov. 8. I was scared the first time we had sex that I was pregnant but decided i would wait for my period to get all worried about it. I seriously doubt i could have gotten pregnant from the first time cause it was only for like a minute. I got nervous and we stopped. The second time we again didnt use a condom. He pulled out before he came but maybe he didnt do it soon enough. Some of it got on my leg and I asked him if he came inside me and he said he definitely didnt and i didnt feel anything. My period is usually 4 1/2 weeks apart and my period should be coming any day now or could be a couple days late. I dont want anyone to know so thats why I havent gotten a pregnancy test yet. Is there any chance I could be pregnant? I'm so nervous and this is all i have been thinking about. My boyfriend says if i am pregnant that we are not getting an abortion but i dont know if i can handle a baby at this age. Help me please!

If you aren't ready to have a baby, please PLEASE have protected sex. A condom is best because it can protect you from STDs (which 1 in 4 people under the age of 25 have, whether they know it or not). But definitely use some sort of contraception. Regardless of what anyone tells you, you can get pregnant, whether or not he pulls out (it's call pre-cum - sperm that seeps out, so to speak, prior to actaul ejaculation). Hopefully you aren't pregnant this time but don't think that makes you immune. Its always better to be safe than sorry.

okay, well its not likea medical problem or anything its just that well, i havent had a boyfriend for a LONG time.. its been about 1 year and a couple months.. thats a LONG time.. and i mean ive talked to guys and ive hooked up with them but i dk i think that there might be like a physical issue or something might be wrong with the way i act.. i mean i have lots of guy friends so i dont think its my personality.. i thin its more of the physical .. i dont think its my face because i have a pretty cute face but i think its because i weigh a little more than most girls, i wouldnt call myself huge but im up there im about 135 lbs.. but i dk can you just tell me what to do.. i think that guys would be able to help me more with my problem.. i need to know how guys really look for girls.. ((personality or looks)) PLEASE HELP (link)

If you're looking for a bf. 'hooking up' is counter productive. Men usually aren't interested in dating women who give it up easily. Your dry spell probably has nothing at all to do with your looks and personality, and everything to do with your actions. If you're looking for something casual, hooking up is the way to go. If you're looking for a boyfriend, hold out for something better.

I am 16 and I love to read. I read just about anything. I'll read classics, sci/fi, poetry, romance, about anything really. I just need some good titles. Anything will help, any genre, titles and authors. Thanks in advance! (link)

Try Sharon K Penman. I found her books when I was about your age and still love them. She writes some mystery books, but her historical fiction is fantastic! Try "The Sunne in Splendor", "Here Be Dragons", and "When Christ and his Saints Slept" for starters. Happy reading!

15/f. My best friend (14/f) has a crush on this cute guy. I think I also might have a crush on him, but I haven't told her because I don't want to seem like I'm stealing him or anything, so I've pretty much been ignoring my feelings. Anyway, the bad part is that she goes through guys like oxygen. I'm not kidding. And besides that, it's fairly obvious that he's not interested in her, and he and I share the same interests and sense of humor. Is it bad for me to like him as well, and should I just back off? Or should I tell my best friend and see what happens? I really don't want to mess up my friendship with my best friend over some guy. Thanks. (link)

It's my experience that nothing ruins a friendship faster than two women competing for the same guy. Despite how you try to rationalize it (you and he have the same interests, she goes through guys like oxygen), the question you need to ask yourself is, which is more important; the friendship or the guy? If the answer is the guy, go for it. If the answer is the friendship, find another guy.

I'm engaged and my wife to be is still friends with her ex-boyfriend. She even expects me to have dinner with them both if we move to the same city. He still wants to be with her, and she says that I don't understand that it is the mature thing to do. I think it is pretty straightforward: we should stay away from exes. No talking, no dinner. Am I crazy? (link)

Yes, you're a little crazy. Or at least jealous :) The fact that your wife wants you to be involved in the friendship is a good thing. If she were insistent on keeping the friendship just between the two of them, I'd be suspicious. But seriously, in this case, I think you may be over-reacting. Just something to think about.
