So i just started using tampons..and i love them cause pads are gross. anyway when i was taking it out it hurt really badly and in fact took like 10 minutes to get it out cause the pain. is that just something that goes away after a few times or is there a reason why it hurt?

It is normal for the first few times because your vaginal tract (if you are a virgin) has never been expanded before so the skin and muscle isn't use to it. In fact, the first few times I had my period I cut the tampon in half it hurt so bad!

I am having a little problem right now. I feel like I have lost my fire and drive for success. I make stellar grades and I hold top positions around campus. About a month ago, I had major surgery and I was on loritab off and on for about 3 weeks. I have a strong feeling that the loritab caused my lack of energy and my apathy for about everything.

What can I do to get my motivation back? And what can I do to get back to how I was before my surgery?

The feelings you have are very broad. I study Psychology and what you are saying can be several different types of Depression.

The first is Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder which one of it's symptoms is lack of attachment. PTSD can occur after anything: surgery, a death, vacation, breakup, etc.

Another, which sounds scary, is Schizophrenia. Although Schizophrenia is usually diagnosed in patients who have delusions, hallucinations, and paranoia it's major symptoms is lack of emotion, pleasure, and motivation.

The last is Substance Induced Mood Disorder which I haven't studied yet however, is very likely.

I would love to be a model for stores like Target, Forever 21, etc.

How do you do that?
Do you just send in pictures?
If so where too?
Does it cost money?

First off, to model for a store such as Hollister or Abercrombie (I did store modeling for a few months to help pay for a car.) you have to be atleast 16. But if you can find a way past that here is what you should do.

1. Go to the store and fill out an application for instore modeling. Or go online, find the Careers link at the bottom of the page, and you should find something about modeling. Or just call the toll-free number.
2. They might want a portfolio which is a book of profession (or what seem to look like profession) photograhs. These should have a range in expressions; smiling, edgy, sexy, girl-next-door, black and white, colour, etc.
3. If they even do ask for photos, they will tell you who to send it to.
4. No, absolutley not. It should never cost any money-on your part- to send in an application for any type of modeling or to be seen for an agent. If they ask for money, it's fake.


I just did the instore modeling (ya know, the people who stand outside half nacked greeting people) but many of the ones who do the actual print modeling have to send in portfolios and almost all are represented by a modeling agency. To even be considered for an agency you MUST have your portfolio on hand and know your measurements.

When did you get your period?
Most girls stop growing 2-3 years after there period. If you haven't had your period yet and you have never had a major growth spert it's possible you will. If you have had your period already and haven't seen major changes in the last 6 months you probably won't grow anymore.

i had a urinary tract infection and my doctor gave me this powder to put into a class of water three times a day, and it finally went away. it was gone for about a month and a half when it's returned. i know it's said that urinary tract infections can come back but i'm nervous that this is a serious problem because it's too soon.

There could be problems with your urinary tract and when ever it is recurring it's never good. However, i use to get UTI's like once every two months. Then I started taking cranberry supplements (all natural) and drinking cranberry juice and they never came back. It's been 3 years since my last UTI.

Hey i found a questio here called Eyebrows. I have the same problem as her except that instead of eyebrows, I can't stop plucking my eyelashes, and yes sometimes with my hand!

The act of plucking your eyelashes and eyebrows is actually a very common rutine that people with OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) do. I highly suggest you go to a psychiatrist.

If you go to a really reputable school then colleges will take into consideration the level of difficult of that school. For instance when someone who goes to a sh*ty school and gets a 4.0 and someone who goes to an extremely hard repuatable school and gets a 3.6 then the college will think that the second person is better.

As for you situation, colleges don't really look at 9th grade they just look that you have completed and passed all the courses. It's good that you are taking AP classes in Sophmore year though however it's not a core class like Math or Science so they won't take it into that much more of a consideration as regular honors classes. (however it does bring up your GPA which is great!!!). You have lots of extra curriculars but many people fake them so when you do eventually apply for colleges make sure to show proof of them with recommendations and signed forms from the extra curricular/volunteer leaders. As a minus though, they will see that you repeated English and Spanish (they are both level 2, and though they don't care so much about your freshmen year if they see you repeated it they won't like that).

Volunteer work, Model UN, School President/VP, Validictorian, Peer Counseling, is stuff that colleges L-O-V-E. I have no idea what colleges you have a chance of as of now because you give no GPA and you haven't taken the SAT yet or haven't given your scores.

Seriously, (to the people above) how do you expect a 14 year old to get a job. When I was 14 I couldn't get a job AT ALL. Once I turned 16 though I was able to work. Babysitting is fun if the kids are easy to manage, plus you get free food. However, if babysitting isn't up your ally may I suggest Crossroads (or any other exchange store). Take your name brand, and in good condition!, shoes and clothing (stuff in good condition) and they will give you either money or a trade. They usually rip you off though, offering you 17 bucks or 30 bucks worth of their clothing for your Steve Madden flats. But.. if you really need the money and you no longer need or fit the clothing then it's your best bet.

My boyfriend and I are both 20 years old, we've been dating almost two years. We have been sexually active for some time and never had a problem.

Last night, though, he seemed to be having some male issues. That is, getting hard enough to have good sex. When a man gets an erection blood rushes to the penis. It was proven that some sexual positions where more blood is able to go to the penis an erection lasts longer and strong. However, this could have been the opposite for you boy friend. He could have been in a position where not enough blood was reaching his genital and it went more limp. okay. so i can barely ever find 32C bra's so i usually end up buying a bra that fits my cup size but not my size around.
so is there anyway i can tailor the part that goes around? if there is a website that has instructions on it that would be great.

There is a way to tailor the bra. Cut off the extender (the part with the clasps not the hook.)Then cut off how ever extra fabric you need to and then re-sew them back on. But i don't recommend you do this. It's really odd you cannot find this size. I see it all the time at Victoria Secret. Try Nordstroms and Macy's aswell though.

Without stuffing or using any extra padding you can just buy a bra with a cup size smaller (same wrap size though) and it should squeeze your chest enough to add more cleavage.

No, there is no major that specific which is offered at an academic based college. Lyric interpretation could be a class that you take for instance if you are minoring/majoring in music or vocals. However, at ART BASED colleges they might offer that type of class as minor.

Wash them with shampoo and conditioner and twist/ braide with some gel in them so when they dry they can dry wavy.

put them on the unders of your hair so you can see the clip. tie up half your hair and put them in there.

so about 2 weeks ago I saw a dog walking down the street at about 2:30 in the morning. I went over to see her, and realized that she was REALLY REALLY skinny. So me my mom and dad gave her a bunch of food and water, she ate and drank it all. The next day the Animal Protective league Came to get her to give her any medication ect. she needed to get her better. They said she was 2years old and had been on the streets for a while. They also said she was an abused dog. They could tell by the way she was acting around people. But she is a VERY sweet dog. They told us she was a mix between a Coon dog and a Basset hound.


They said that we could be her ( my dad named her sara) foster family, meaning we can have her at our house to take care of her until they find a pernament home for her (i hope we adopt her), so we are her foster family now.

At first Sara went to the door when she had go to the bathroom. But yesterday she went pea on my carpet in my room,I knew it was her because I caught her doing it, then she bolted out of the room. I thought, "well maybe one of the other dogs that we have went the a long time ago and we didn't clean it up well enough". I said "NOOOO" really sternly to her a couple of times and showed her it by putting her nose close to it so she would know what she did. So, after I showed her it, I held her face up to mine and said, "NOO" sternly to her, I could see the fear in her eyes. I did NOT hit her. I thought she was potty trained .... the first 5 days went so well she was getting along with the other dogs and was starting to come out of her shell, she was playing and was always happy to see us.


So today it was raining in the morning and Sara REFUSED to get wet, so we had to wait till later to take her out. My dad did when it stopped raining but Sara still didn't go. He told me to take her out later. So I cooked some speghetti and ate. When I came down for about the 10th time between eating and cooking to check on her I smelled something, and it smelled like poop. I went in my room and there it was. I got Sara and did the same thing to her that i did when she went pea in my room. I cleaned it up and took her outside. She went pea. Then she decieded to go upsairs for the first time. Which if OK. Well I had just got done taking her out and she pead on the carpet upstairs!!!! I did the same thing agian, like I had done when she went in my room.

I did NOT tell my mom she has done all this either.

So is Sara going to hate me now, because she was abused, but I had to teach her that she can't go in the house. Otherwise my mom will send her back to the Animal Protection League. And I REALLY love her. (I'm an animal lover). Is Sara not going to be excited to see me anymore? Is she going to be afaid of me? I didn't hit her, so will she be ok? I want her to love me!?!

This is natural for a new dog in a new place. She won't hate you. What you have to do is take her out to pee before she can do it in your room.

After she drinks water or eat (about 10 minutes after) take her outside to go pee. You should keep an eye on her at all times to make sure she doesn't sneak upstairs. After everytime she pee's or poo's tell her "good girl, good girl" and give her a cookie.

Next, go to the store and buy some urine scent remover and spray it over the spots she has pee'd on your carpet and really scrub.
