Q: this is a really embarassing question, but why do i notice little hairs around my breasts? i have read that i shouldn't worry, which i am not, but i would like to know why that is there. also is there any way that isn't harmful to my body to remove it...i don't like how it looks. THANK YOU!

Most women have a few hairs growing around their nipples. Usually these can be tamed by regularly plucking them out. It's best not to shave them, as this leaves a blunt hair shaft that will grow through, feeling more stubbly and noticeable.

If you feel the hairs are excessive, don't be embarrassed to ask your nurse or doctor to check whether or not they think you could have a hormone imbalance, although this is quite rare.

Shaving often causes spots by encouraging in-growing hairs. Rather than shaving, try a depilatory cream to dissolve the hairs away, or have them waxed off professionally.

Q: Hi, I'm a 19/f and I've been with my boyfriend for about three years. Instead of just doing things or getting him gifts only on special occasions, I like to be spontaneous and surprise him on a random day "just cause".

Over the period of these three years, I've done a lot like make him crafty cards, cook for him, and etc, but I feel like I'm running short on ideas!

Keep in mind I am on a budget since most of my money is spent for my college tuition and textbooks. What I'd like to ask is if you all have any good ideas on what I could do to surprise him and remind him of how much I love him that is creative and affordable? My target is to get him something that he'll enjoy and that could possibly be useful (it doesn't have to be romantic), because I've given him a lot of love mementos already.

leave a note on his car

dedicate a song on the radio for him

get a t-shirt with his name on it and wear it to bed
you can make him a week of dinners and freeze them for him..i dont know if you guys live together or not...but i know bachlors are always hungry.

Congradulations on finishing school early!!!And i think its great that your helping your mom. i guess you got a crash course in what its like to owe bills and rent. i dont think this is a bad thing at all. yes its tiring...we are ALL tired. the only thing i can suggest is just put your shoulder to the wheel and keep on keeping on. if you can just hang in there a little while longer...your mom can complete her training and things will start to get back to normal.

but its excellant that you got a taste first hand of what your mom has been doing for years. its not easy. there are days we wanna stay in bed and pull the covers up ---jobs be damned.

but then you just hit the snooze and grab five more minutes before you get up and do it all over again. once you actually get moving its not that bad...not really.

i bet your mom appreciates your help alot too....your a good kid. your making your mother proud.

Q: I'm hooking up with this guy, and I don't know if he's hooking up with other girls or not. We're not in a relationship or anything, but I would just like to know if he's with other girls or not. I don't want to straight out ask him, and i don't want to involve my friends, so is there a way I could get him to tell me without straight out asking him "are you hooking up with other girls?" if by "hooking up" you mean having sex with-- you have every right to know if he's sleeping with other girls.

you deserve to have a relationship where you are the only woman. plus...every time you sleep with him...your sleeping with the other girls and every guy they ever slept with too...its pretty nasty if you think about it...that bed can sure get crowded.

ask him...and if a one on one relatioship is what you want...they you should demand it...and if he still wants to have his cake and eat it too...well then you dont need him...believe this--there are plenty of guys around looking for a girl that will be monogomous.. and its a hellofa lot safer when you know your partner isnt sleeping with dirty girls...

But I am going to tell you something else-- thats more important.

here is something that you should know

there are only approx. 3 days a month a woman can get pregnant.

14 days from the day her period begins and then the 15th day the 16th day and the 17th day....(this is when you ovulate)it would be very wise not to engage in any sexual activity if you want to avoid becoming pregnant.
so theres like a whole week give or take that you should be extra careful.

also--you absolutely cannot get pregnant while you have your period.

they both get great miliage and pretty trouble free mechanically --if you get regular tuneups and check your fluids regularly.

when a person is bi-polar, they are usually in a depressed state --which is puncuated by periods of almost feeling "high"--happy-hyper--or manic-

theres also a couple different types of bi polar

its basically a chemical imbalance..which can be worsened by emotional trauma.

bi polar people think differntly and definitely behave differently

it can be controlled by medication --to a point. but sometimes it takes a long time to find the right combination of drugs that would work in any single case.

plus a bipolar person has to want to get better--some people are so far gone...or wont admit they have a problem.

you need to talk to someone about this. don't wait. its a very confusing condition but there is sooo much support for you out there.

if you dont see a doctor...at least research it online...go to chatrooms and listen to what people are talking about and see if you can relate. you might be able to get some real good advice( after you sift thru the b.s.)

those uncontrollable unwanted thoughts...it really sucks. have you developed any rituals? do you play little games with yourself?

they say it can be controlled by medication--but i think more can be done by sheer will. you just have to change the way you think--or find some way to relieve your anxiety that brings these unwanted thoughts into your head.

you need to get reprogrammed...lots of people get help from a professional...but i think alot can be done on your own ...read up on ocd...take the test online to see if you share the same characteristics.

sometimes just being able to name something...makes you feel better about it...they are soooo many people walking around with ocd and they dont even know it.

it can take on many forms...hand washing counting obsessive thoughts--touching items---repeating words...its endless...read up on it...if not just to rule it out as a possibility.

i'm sorry girlfriend...there's nothing. do not get sucked into those creams and pills...they are not proven to work and if they did...they'd be talking about it on the news.

your best bet is to buy a good bra. there are lots of them that make you look more...ummm...boobalicious!!!

you can get silicone gel inserts...they feel very natural--they just go right up against your skin--they warm up to your body temp.

but dont feel too bad...big boobs are really not what they are cracked up to be. my best friend in high school had --well i cant think of a word strong enough to describe them...they were udders.

she had deep grooves in her shoulders from lugging those puppies around...and finding shirts was a nightmare. she had to get her bras special made...at like 75 bucks a pop...people always talked to her boobs...and they really did make her look fat and she really wasnt.

dont feel bad about your boobs. in the big picture...boobs are just boobs.

sometimes when your ovulating...your body can let you know this is happening by giving you tender breasts...a discharge--kinda jellyish with a tinge of blood...you can gain weight...have cramps...get constipated...get backaches...get emotional...be bitchy...so many things are happening...those hormones suck...

oh yeah--i got a bad reaction from medication once that made my boobs hurt and itch...weird i know...but have you taken anything new...that might be it too.

why don't you just use your history button on your browser and find out. do you know how to look up your history(where you have been on the web?)
look for the little clock with the green arrow on your internet explorer browser...it seperates it by date/day/site...you can find out where others have been too...check it out

Q: Well I have had this problem occuring lately. My vagina area around the outside of it, not the inside seems to get really dry and it will itch. It doesn't do this all the time but it has done it a couple times lately and it is very annoying. There isn't much moisture and I think this may be causing the itch. But why is it so dry? Thanks.

do u notice an odor or do u have a discharge? what your describing sounds to me like a yeast infection.....they can go away on their own....when the natural balance in the vagina returns to normal...

did you recently douche or start using something new to clean yourself with?

if you DO douche...stop.

there is good and bad bacteria living in your vagina...when you douche you flush out the good ones too...and it can cause an infection...

the best thing to clean yourself with is good old soap and water.

Q: people always copy me. and i might sound conceided but it is really annoying. for example i like to do things that noone else does so i started saying "thats so rad" instead of cool. and then everyone else did it. and i started wearing these beads. and like my whole grade did it. it is so annoying and everytime i find something i like, someone goes and takes it. what can i do?

well--looks like your a trendsetter---if you wanna mess with thier heads...you should draw your eyebrows on with permanant black magic marker...see if they follow that one....or maybe rainbow suspenders...and just sit back and laugh...

Q: i moved like a year ago, and everytime i try to get together with my old friends they come up with some lame excuse. i dont know what to think.

its sad to say--but we all move on. maybe they have too. concentrate on making friends in your new neighborhood. its very normal...for friends to drift apart...even over the summer...i'm not surpised they are flaking out on you. dont be too upset, there are prolly lots of kids who'd make good friend material right in your own backyard...spend your energy persuing them instead...you can still keep in touch via email and the phone...that'd be good.
