i like this boy but he has a gf. He flirts with me all the time, more than he even talks to her. The girlfriend is also my friend so i wouldn't want to hurt her but he is so cute and funny. you've got to think about it as being would you give your friend up for this guy? does he really mean that much to you since youre not positive he likes you?because all in all friends befores guys, he may dump you or dump him later on but friends are always there. just talk to her and talk to him and get everything figured out with who he likes and then get to her about how she would feel.

I went to a private school until this year and everyone was pretty religious and conservative.
Now I go to public school and I have a LOT of more socially liberal friends that I get along with better in a lot of ways. At private school, I was the "weird one." Now I'm not. At all.
Sometimes I can hang out with my old buddies and it's fun, but then a topic like homosexuality comes up and I'm surrounded by people who disagree with me.
I just feel like I'm being pulled in different directions by people who want different things from me.
I miss my old friends, I love them, I grew up with them, but I feel like I'm just too different to really be that close now. I don't know how I can balance my new and old friends, not really time-wise, but in my own mind.
Please help. People who do not write in complete sentences need not answer. If all you have to say is "balance your time," forget it. If you had read, you'd have realized it wasnt about that at all.

This is a very difficult subject. What i'm getting is that you like your old friends and you got along great but your beliefs go more with your new friends. If so I say if your "old friends" were really your friends they'd realize you have a different opinion and accept it and move on. They wouldn't base your friendship off of your beliefs. Let them know how you're feeling. If they cant accept you they dont deserve you.

Well if you really like this guy and he really likes you then he shouldnt be with other people. Dont share. That gives the possibility of him "really liking" someone else that lives closer. Just either be with him n him with you(only you) or be ready for him to be with other people. If he likes you like you like him then it will work.

Me and my friends want to see The Ring 2. Well, originally I told my friend Lauren that her, Sarah and I could go. Recently Sarah and I have been hanging out a lot, with another girl, Krystal. I don't know who I want to go with. I would just invite both, but it's not that easy. Lauren is your typical preppy, VERY girly girl. Krystal is more like goth. As much as I hate labels, that's basically the only way to put it. Sometimes I wonder how Lauren and I get along.
Honestly, I'd rather go with Sarah and Krystal. But I just don't know what to say to Lauren, because I think she really wants to go with us. But Sarah and I both kinda get annoyed with her sometimes.

Well I think you should be completely honest with lauren. I mean even if you do get through this it will become an issue again one day. So tell her whats up. Say whats on your mind. Im sure she'd rather you be honest with her now than to either find out from someone else or it get built up into a big fight later on or not to know at all. At least if youre honest she'll know how you feel and she'll know "well hey maybe i can find someone else to go with"

Have you ever considered getting layers. It will decrease the thickness and inturn will decrease the frizz factor. For the courseness use only cream conditioners and dont straighten right after blowdrying..that burns out the hair and causes dead ends. Also try a relaxer, i've been told they work very well. You might also try asking a hair stylist..they have all sorts of solutions.hope i helped.

Dear Advicenators,
At my workplace, several colleagues and I have an awkward situation that has developed between us and our boss. It has gotten so bad recently that it has begun to affect the quality of our work and how we interact with her.
On several occasions in the winter months, she has come into the office directly from the outdoors and started an informal meeting, many times without even putting down her coat or bag. The problem is that there is typically a great deal of condensation and mucus that has decended onto her upper lip and into her mouth. She doesn't notice it, but it makes it impossible for her employees to listen to her.
In addition, she has terrible halitosis. It is so bad that when her employees are talking with her, they can not concentrate on what she saying. As a result, they make mistakes in the areas that were covered in their conversations.
What can be done? Any kind of intervention might result in us getting fired.
What do you suggest?

Well in my personal opinion that is gross. And if you want the problem to stop you should tell her. Imagine if it were you and you were unaware of this problem, wouldn't you want someone to let you know? Don't do it in front of everyone else that would be embarassing. Take her aside and ask if she is sick and if she says "No, Why?" then tell her about whats going on that way you can kind of ease into the conversation about it. That or you might as well deal with it all together because im sure she cant read your mind.

If shes talking crap about all your friends to you then she is probably talking crap about you to them. Two-faced friends aren't any good. ok so last night i was supposed to go to the movies with my friends. well i found out i couldn't because i had to go to my grandma's 60th birthday. well my best friend said she didn't want to go to the movies. so i asked her if she wanted to come over and she said yea. so i get home and it turns out i have to stay home and watch my little brother. so i'm like yes now i have a better chance for margot to spend the night! so i ask my mom and she keep's sayin i don't know n that she'll call me. so at like 7 i call her for the last time and i ask, i'm not worried that margot won't be home because she didn't want to go to the movies. so my mom says yes and i call margot's house, but her mom says she's at the movies. so i'm kinda mad and i call her cell and say hey you can come over after the movies if you want to and she says ok i'll call you. well she calls at 10:30 and says that her mom said no because it's too late. and i'm like ok. and she says are you mad? and i say no, but inside i'm freakin pissed! what should i do? sorry it's so long. Ok well one she lied because she said she didn't want to go to the movies and then she ended up going and not letting you know after she already said she would come over to your house. I could understand how you would be mad about that.Just tell her you didnt appreciate her blowing you off like that because if she would have stayed home like she said she would the whole situation would have been avioded.

In the past couple weeks, ive gained 10-12 lbs and i cant stop freaking out. My exercise and eating habits havent changed and i dont know why but i keep putting on more and more weight. I feel so disgusted with myself. Can anyone explain to me why ive gained all this weight all of the sudden? (No, im not pregnant.) I dont overeat. I actually burn all my calories. Well depending on how old you are and im assuming youre female based on the fact you said you werent pregnant maybe youre hitting puberty late and this is just the part of your body changing to be ready just in case you do become pregnant. If not it might be your metabolism. You can get pills to speed it up or just eat smaller portions and excercise more so the weight goes away and/or tones.
