Try using Nexus Enssure. This stuff is awesome and doesn't weigh down your hair like Garneir Fructis which is great but you need to change up shampoo to prevent nasty build up.

i feel your pain. sucks don`t it? well this is what i do.. use garnier fructis shampoo. also use some kind of anti-friz gel (not too much or your hair will be greasy). straighten your hair by layers. like put most of it in a clip and do the bottom layer. then let some down and do some more.. and so on. spend most time on the top layer. for every layer put some mousse in it. also next time you get a haircut ask the stylist to thin it, especially in the back. trust me it helps.

Have you ever considered getting layers. It will decrease the thickness and inturn will decrease the frizz factor. For the courseness use only cream conditioners and dont straighten right after blowdrying..that burns out the hair and causes dead ends. Also try a relaxer, i've been told they work very well. You might also try asking a hair stylist..they have all sorts of solutions.hope i helped.
