I am a African-American 16 year old girl who really wants some different hairstyles, but I'm not sure what to do. I usually wear my hair in twist or braids, but its still "weave"....do you have any idea on different natural styles I could use? I'm not sure I want dreads and its hard for me to maintain a afro. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated... ( and please don't say get a perm....because its not natural)

Its great that you like to look natural! And i also hate to maintain my hair! So it would be cool if you relaxed your hair by using shamppos and conditioners speacialized for your kind of hair. After that you can put your hair in two pigtail braids or you can leave your hair out without nothing if you want to be TOTALLY natural.
ok so i am about 100 pounds. i eat like crazy, but i dont really gain anything. i am called anorexic like so many times a day at school. i cry all the time because this has been going on for so long. one day, i will never forget this day, i was at school and i was called anorexic literally six times, i cried so much that day when i got home. i actually got so mad one day when someone called me anorexic...that i punched a person. not like in the face or anything. what should i do? im so sick of being called anorexic when i know im not. and i have talked to my parents about this and they said that "well you know that you arent, so dont worry about what they say" yeah but its easier to say then do!
I am the same way! I can eat everything and im like 86 pounds. High metabolism runs in my family. Its ok! Dont try to change for anyone. Girls would kill to have our bodies! So we just have to be proud of them. If you show them that you can look good when ur thin then they will believ you!

what are good exercises for old-aged, overweight people to try? walking is out of the question. no biking.
Water aerobics are terrific for people over 50. Many people do it at my local swim club and they enjoy it very much. Also, you should try yoga, its very peaceful.

I just want some opinions on what everyones favorite cell phone provider is. Such as, cingular, verizon, tmobile, etc. Can everyone please just tell me which they prefer, and why. well in the future i plan on adopting a child but I'm having a hard time deciding on where to adopt from.. I have 2 things to consider
1) how bad situations are were the child is from
2) how well they will fit into my family (looks wise)
I was thinking of adopting a baby from china but 1- they wont look anything like my family
2- there are over 50 nationalities in china and i don't know which one to pick

Why should you care what a baby looks like? Everyone should care for a baby the same! My friend from China was adopted by an american, white family and she loves them! You need to chill out. Any baby you can have is a miricale and should be loved and cared the same way. if u dont find that is true, then children are totally not for you.

okay. so im sick of my boring old hairstyle. right now its just sandy blonde with some lighter highlights. and its cut right above shoulder length. i was more preppy when i got it done like that, but now im more punk/emo. i kind of have a general idea of what i want, but im not totally sure. i like the length. i dont really want to go any shorter than it is. i like color. but i also like black and white. so im not sure. i was thinking darker underneath and light blonde on top. but i dont know if it would look good on me. i have more of a round face, so not all hairstyles look good on me. please help me! im doing this hopefully tomorrow.
You should definately get black on the bottom, and in the front get angles and side bangs, it will look so cool.

Dont get scared! When u started 7th grade you were probably nervous, and it turned out to be a good year. Everyone knows its the first day, and people are gonna get lost and be slone, and other stuff but You can make new friends!

13/f. so i know the fashion for most girls, is kinda tight jeans around the thighs and then lose ins done on the knee down. well im really skinny, i wanted to know if any stores sold pants like custom made, or for skinnier girls, because i want to wear my pants like that. the only way is if i wear very very shot capri's which end up looking like tight shorts. please help me.

Getting a tattoo is a very serious thing! there are risks and it is a permanent part of your body forever! I would stick to temporary tatoos!
you can do what ever u want with those! & you never have to worry they will always come off!
okay this is gross but i've had a lot of flem in my throat for the longest time..anyone have ideas on how to get rid of it? like i cough and it sounds like i have smokers cough but i totally don't. please help!
It is so not gross! everyone gets sick once in a while! But you have to take control! Dont let this bug get to you! Make sure you take throat medecations and drink alot of tea. Telling your mom and your doctor would help too! Even taking a strep test!
im 13 and im 5'2'' im skinny like super skinny i think. i just want nicer legs =\. i think i have chicken legs. and i have people say it to me, even my dad. and guys i like check out other girls who have nice legs )= and i guess it lowers my self esteem a little? i wanna feel confident when i where shorts and skirts. knowing i have nice looking shaped legs .. i want my legs a little fatter. cause i think i have chopstick/chicken legs with no shape.

I have to agree! American eagle and hollister feel great! But people have to understand that every once in a while you have to check out the sale rack! When prices are marked down, take advantage! You can find relle cute stuff that way! I just found an american eagle shirt that was on sale for 7 bucks! Do feel embarassed to search the racks! (=

S if u wanna look relle nice this year you should shop at: hollister, abercrombie, Delias, forever 21, Juicy Couture, LVLX, Aeropastale, Guess, Victoria Secret (PINK)! These are great stores! They all are exspensive, but you should take a look at the sale rack once in a while! Thats what its there for! I found some relle cute stuff like that!
