ok so i am about 100 pounds. i eat like crazy, but i dont really gain anything. i am called anorexic like so many times a day at school. i cry all the time because this has been going on for so long. one day, i will never forget this day, i was at school and i was called anorexic literally six times, i cried so much that day when i got home. i actually got so mad one day when someone called me anorexic...that i punched a person. not like in the face or anything. what should i do? im so sick of being called anorexic when i know im not. and i have talked to my parents about this and they said that "well you know that you arent, so dont worry about what they say" yeah but its easier to say then do!
HectorJr answered Saturday July 28 2007, 11:52 pm: Well think about it this way: if somebody really was anorexic, would you flat out say it to their face? I would guess most people don't; in the same way you might call a friend retarded, but not actually go around yelling it to somebody in a wheelchair who was.
Don't let it get to you. Too many people, whether its media or just lack of knowledge, keep thinking that thinness or a specific weight is what defines anorexia. While obesity is defined by a number (based on your height, you could be 200 and not be obese, but then be 201 and be considered obese), anorexia is not. It is just as much of a mental condition as it is a physical one. If you know you don't have it, then let it go and just ignore them because all they are trying to do is get into your head and mess with you. Hope that helped and good luck. Anorexia is a SERIOUS disease and this shows that if someone in your school really had it, no one would be supportive. Nevertheless, adults in your school will be able to help, and they won't tell the kids that you told them what's going on. [ Erinn_the_bamf's advice column | Ask Erinn_the_bamf A Question ]
insomnia answered Saturday July 28 2007, 12:50 am: I (shamefully) have called a friend of mine anorexic because I am jealous of how thin she is. But I know she isn't anorexic. The people who say that are just jealous of you, trust me.
Eating more might not be enough. Weight training and eating extra protein would be good to build muscle. But if you absolutely cannot gain weight I would ask to see a doctor. [ insomnia's advice column | Ask insomnia A Question ]

I know this might seem like it would make you lose weight instead of gaining it, but if you do it right, like lifting weights, it will make you gain muscle mass, and you will gain weight.
