what are good exercises for old-aged, overweight people to try? walking is out of the question. no biking.

Water aerobics are terrific for people over 50. Many people do it at my local swim club and they enjoy it very much. Also, you should try yoga, its very peaceful.

any one can do crunches.

leg lifts, simply lift your legs togeher, and hold look something like that while holding.

i don't know how easy you want it, but work outs arent supposed to be easy.

you could use smaller weights and do:

Bicep curls (see link below)

Tricep Kickback (see link below)

Basic and Reverse crunches (see link below)

Push-Ups (see link below)

Swimming works wonders, and is as low-impact you can get.

I know you said walking/biking is out of the question but try to go to a trail or something, and start running, run as far as you can, then walk.

Try to incorperate Some cardio.
