Hi, this is Kate. I'm 17. My life motto is 'Live Laugh Love', I really think those are great words to live by and I'm planning to have it made into a tattoo. I'm not religious but I love learning about different religions. I write stories based on things that have happened to me because sometimes I have days where I just think 'wow that sounds like something out of a book'. I've finished 3 stories and I'm about to start my first horror story..very exciting. I believe in fairy tale love...the kissing in the rain, staring at the stars on the rooftop kind of love..Why? For me it hurt for a second, and I mean hurt level of about 5 out of 10, more discomfort than pain. But for my best friend it hurt so bad she had to stop. Shes smaller than me though, prob 5'3" 105lbs and I'm 5'8" at 117lbs. Depends on the size of you.

My sister in law has about 8 piercings and 5 tattoos in various areas and she said that her nipple piercings were the most painful thing she's ever done. She screamed. So all I really know is that they hurt like a mother f*****. She had a guy do it but I always feel more comfortable with girls when I get a piercing or tattoo. So I guess that part is up to you.

hi. im moving soon and i get the chance to redo my room which doesnt come very much. so i love vintage things. i was thinkin about having my room vintagy but with my own personal twist to it. i love red and black. so my ideas were that i want to have a whole wall of mismatched vintage frames along it. and maybe a whole wall red, or the top half of the walls bein red and the bottom being cream or something. i want other ideas please and please have a picture along with it. i also need new bedding so maybe if someone could send me links to good vintage beeing that woul dbe cool. thanks. I love that! Just don't make everything either red or black because I feel that it could get a little overbearing. A white or creme definitely sounds good to break it up a bit.

I have that ^^ in my dorm and it actually makes a dorm look classy. I just have a K on the sham and black with white polka dot sheets.
Oh I just remembered Urban Outfitter's "Apartment" section is fantastic for all things vintage.
Go find a thrift store and get some cooky old chair, paint it black and then you can find new fabric for it too.
Maybe your parents will let you paint a wall black? You can get chalkboard paint at Walmart, or probably Home Depot also. But that could be cool and then your friend's could write on it or if you're artsy you could draw your own vintage designs on it.
I think a chandelier would really pull together the vintage theme. Even if it's not hooked up but you just have it as a hanging art piece.
You could have a lot of fun with mirrors and glass. I love those lamp bases that are like glass balls (I have one). It looks really old but then I put a modern square black shade on it. Got that at Target.

My boyfriend loves art & is majoring in Fine Art. I want to surprise him with some new art supplies, as he says he loves them, but doesn't have the money for new supplies right now.
He mentioned loving even basic things, like pencil cases, sharpeners, and erasers. But he mentioned that he likes really fine pointed black pens for drawing, and I was wondering if anyone had any tips on which type of pens to buy? Or any other suggestions of art supplies to surprise him with? I'm going to Hobby Lobby (crafty store) tomorrow, so any ideas would help! Thank you. :) (link)

I went on Hobby Lobby's website just to see what brands they have. The pens that he's talking about come in an assortment of sizes so the tip will be thicker or thinner. I use Staedtler and they've lasted me almost a whole year of technical drawing (Architecture major) but one time I bought Micron for an art project so I wouldn't have to use my regular ones, and the pen died halfway through the project. Really don't recommend those.

Kneaded erasers are cool and good for lightening lines rather than just completely getting rid of them. It kind of looks like clay.

Also, fixative is really cool especially with drawings and things that could smudge. Its basically a sealant that you put on your art.

I haven't worked with the Krylon brand of it, I've used Blair but I didn't like it because it didn't evenly coat the work. I've worked with Krylon spraypaint though and really like the spray nozzle on they're brand and I just think its more efficient.
And you could always get him a new sketchbook, even if he doesn't need it right away in the long run when he realizes he's on the last page of his he'll appreciate having an extra because good one's can get expensive.
Also, drawing pencils that have different degrees. I can't find a set that has a good range.

This set only has really really dark ones so they're in the B range and the higher the number the darker it is. H range pencils are lighter, higher the number the lighter it is. so it goes like 4B,3B,2B,B,HB,H,2H,3H,4H for darkest to lightest. Most art stores that I've been to sell them individually and they're a lot cheeper than that set. That's also Prismacolor and although its a nice brand, they're overpriced.
Even a range in sharpie sizes can definitely make a cool project.

I just broke up with my long-distance boyfriend 2 days ago because I couldn't handle the distance. I really do still love him, and I'm not handling the break up well.
We decided mutually to be friends, but it's not really working. He's being unusually mean to me (which is to be expected I guess, since it's only been 2 days). This is too hard on me, and every time I end a call with him I end up crying. My feelings for him are still strong, but I do want to stick with my decision. Today we planned to chat at a certain time, and it's about 2 hours past & he's nowhere to be found.
My question is: should I cut off all contact? I really would like to be friends, but I can tell it is clearly going to take me some time. Also, if I do decide to cut all contact..should I tell him or just do it?
Btw, I'm leaning more towards the 'just doing it' option, without telling him, because after I talk to him it usually leaves me wanting to talk to him again. If I just stop contact, I won't have a chance to talk to him first. My only concern with this option is that when I am ready to be friends (maybe a month or so down the line), he won't want to speak with me/be my friend because I did the no contact thing without telling him. Ahh, please any advice would help!! I just want to be happy again. Thank you.

He sounds like my boyfriend. We were together 8 months. We broke up in October for two months because I was so stressed out (we're 4 hours apart during college months). He was really confused, blah blah blah its not my story its yours. I still always wanted to talk to him even though he was a complete ass when I tried. Being friends after that type of break up is really hard. First we went from angry texts a couple times a week, it was basically him flipping out on me and me just taking it. Couple weeks later our conversations would start off civil and end in some awkward way. I tried giving him space and we didn't talk for two weeks until some little thing on tv reminded me of him and I couldn't stand not talking to him. Two months later, after begging him to take me back for a month (my all-time low) he told me he missed me and now we're back together.
Sorry I rant a bit. If you want to cut off contact I suggest you do it slowly. If you talk everyday, challenge yourself to only talk to him twice a week, then once, then none. Its just easier than completely shutting off contact, i just feel like that'd leave him really confused or hurt. If you felt the need to break up with him you obviously felt the need for space somewhere within you. I know the hurt, I've been there and was there for far too long.

I like an 18 yr. old junior at my high school. I'm a 15 yr. old freshman. He smokes cigarettes and pot, and drinks. I do none of these. He is nothing like most druggies. He is caring, friendly, smart and motivated. He has plans of college and later life. I promised myself I would never get involved with a guy that does drugs but I have an attraction to him. Should I keep trying to get him or just stop because of how different we are even though we are friends? Thanks. (link)

My boyfriend fits into your description (except for cigarettes). And I drank maybe 3 times a year. If you have the strength to be your own person and not let his habits influence you to do the same then the relationship is fine. In fact, my non-illegal lifestyle influenced my boyfriend and he quit smoking and hardly drinks. And I never told him to, he just decided to do it for himself. "Bad boys" are not a lost cause. If they're good to you and his lifestyle doesn't affect you.

metallic near the inner corner of your eye help them look brighter and more open. I have pretty big eyes and it still helps. Here's my suggestion for you...
-Eyeliner on the lower lid only so it doesn't make your eyes look smaller.
-Mascara to enhance the lashes which make your eyes look bigger.
I use a Rimmel.London. 4 pack of shadow that are all kind of goldish earthy colors.
Start with a gold and do the whole lid up to the brow bone but just so it shimmers, not so its like..BAM GOLD. ya know? Then lightly brush some silver at the inner corner, then beige over the lid, and a brown at the crease.
I think the most important tip would be to not use liner on the upper and lower lid line, just do one or the other.

about 2 or 3 weeks ago my car started to make a weird noise. at first it sounded like something was dragging on the ground but when i checked, there was nothing hanging. then my mom told me it might be my muffler. so my question is... if i do have a loose muffler is it safe to drive like that? and will it fall off while im driving? if so, can i drive without a muffler? My boyfriend drove around with a loose muffler as he waited for a weekend when he would have enough time to fix it as opposed to taking the time after work to do it, then one day he hit a bump in the road at a normal speed and his muffler fell off and ripped a hole in his tire about 5 inches, lucky for him it was down the road from his house. Answer to your question, yeahhh you should fix that. And your car will be obnoxiously loud without one and the cops will probably pull you over every chance they can to tell you about it, and ticket you.
The noise you hear is probably the muffler grinding against one of the brackets holding it up...or what is supposed to be holding it up.

My breasts have been shrinking for quite some time. I have always been thin and they were never huge, but the have significantly decreased in size :(. They don't have the same shape.. they are a little saggier, because they are smaller now. I also don't get my period every month.. more like every other. Oh and I haven't lost weight. Even if I gain a little weight, they still shrink. What are some of the causes of this? Should I see a dr? 20 yrs old.

You might have a hormonal issue, especially if you don't get your period every month. Are you on a birth control or other medication? Medications can do wacky things, my sister in law was getting pregnancy symptoms from a combination of birth control and an anti-depressant. Crazy. I'd check with your doctor.

it stays for about a month so maybe a week just to be sure and you should be alright. drink a lot of water just to speed up the process a bit.

You would have a bachelors/masters in education with either a minor or a concentration in biology. It is not possible that you would get a job as a bio teacher if you only ever took it in high school. You would take a majority, if not all of the college courses.

So I'm really wanting a tattoo. I want it to be something small and classy that can't be seen if i'm wearing clothes. Also something very feminine. I'd like it to be something deep and meaningful that's kinda classic so i wont regret getting it in like 30 years. I got my first in December. It says "Live Laugh Love" in a font called scriptina which is a really thin swirly lettering and it really came out gorgeous. I got it because for my sweet 16 my best friend got me a tiny necklace with that on it and one day when I was just at the lowest of low (break-up, bad grades in school, etc) I looked at the necklace and decided that these are the words I want to live my life by. Live life to the fullest. Laugh at the mishaps. Love without fear. And it pulled me out of my rut.
I just tried finding the picture I based it off of online and I can't after looking through over 40 pages of a google search.
Basically you have to find something that isn't going to change in your life. And no not every tattoo needs to mean something but if someone asks "oh what'd you get that one for?" and you say "i dont know" well...its just better if theres a story. I came up with my idea when I was 16, found the style I wanted when I was 17, and got it done when I was 18.
If you find something you like whether you draw it or find a picture somewhere, hang it on your wall to let it grow on you.

I went to the theatre and watch the Green Zone movie last week with my boyfriend. In the movie, they started to panic and call off some information to each other about what they were after. During it, they kept saying things like Alpha Bravo and Zooloo (or zulu or zuloo or HOWEVER you would spell it). Are these army slang for location or something? I couldn't figure out what or who might be Alpha or something so...what did it mean? If it's army talk for something then can somebody tell me more army words just for future reference? Anyone who uses radios to talk to each other know that you can't always understand what the other person is saying. C's can sound like B's etc. So they use what's called a phonetic alphabet, alpha means A, zulu-Z etc. And they spell out words and information to make sure its clear.

My boyfriend quit smoking weed about 3 weeks ago and he started hanging out with me more and we were so happy for two of the three weeks. This week,he seems not as happy with me and he told me he needed some "space" ,so we didn't hangout for a day. Okay I am someone who used to smoke a few times a week and my boyfriend used to smoke multiple times a day. We both decided to quit after new years. First few weeks for great, we were happy, had more energy blah blah blah. Then I had a day where I was feeling the withdrawal and I was pretty bitchy. Then about a week later my boyfriend wanted to have sex but we were in the middle of watching a movie that I had really wanted to say, so he rolled over and went to sleep and we pretty much didn't speak for the rest of the day but then a few days later he apologized for getting mad over stupid things and said it was from not smoking. Weed isn't addictive, its the idea that its a quick release of tension and good feeling. So when you take away pot you look for other outlets that give you the same release so your boyfriend along with mine looked to sex. Don't take it personally or think that he's not interested anymore. And honestly if I had never smoked I'd probably be telling you that he was a scumbag or something but I'm more understanding with his case because I've been there. So what should you do about it. Well if you've never smoked just explain to him that you can see that he's going through a bit of a rough patch and if he wants some space just give it to him. Don't bombard him with texts or calls either. Take a day to hang with the girls and then maybe the two of you can make a date and do something together that you did when you first started dating. Me and my boyfriend played pool a lot when we first started dating so now when we play it brings back the same little feelings and memories of when we were first dating. We've now been dating for over a year and we've made it through him "quitting" smoking 3 times. Don't let it get between you.

My senior prom is this June. I haven't even thought about it until last night, when I found out that a CRAPLOAD of girls already have their dresses.

This concerns me because I HATE dresses with a burning passion. I never wear skirts. The only time I've ever worn a dress was to Sweet 16 parties.
