You'd never assume that companies out there would test on animals for the sake of beauty, right? WRONG. There are companies out there dropping stuff into bunnies eyes, painting things on mice's backs just so that people can look pretty. Thankfully, there are sane companies out there that do NOT test on animals! Hip hip hooray!

you're the mislabeler. you labeled the topic "animal cruelty free products" which is not what peta2 claims. their list is of products not tested on animals.
always read labels. most cosmetics are made of disgusting shit you do not want to bring into your body through your skin. my general rule of thumb is that if I wouldn't eat it, I shouldn't own it/use it/cook it/etc. always always read labels. if you just can't be bothered then never shop outside a few companies you know are veg*n. I don't stray from aveda, lush, body shop, kiss my face, and tom's of maine. ever. for cosmetics.

They themselves labeled the page "Looking Good Cruelty-Free" and I assume they are implying "Looking Good [Animal] Cruelty-Free [I'm sure they're not talking about flower cruelty]. I have simply labeled this topic similar to theirs, sending out the same message.
Please don't come into someone else's forum and reply to a topic in a rude fashion, and I'm not saying it for just mine, I mean it for anyone's forum.You could've easily said the things you've pointed out nicely, but instead, you decided to go and speak in a rude and mean manner. the last bit was about cheerios (and all of kellogg, I believe). I didn't know they weren't vegetarian until I claimed vegetarian for about a month. there are other cereals in the world that are veg*n and a lot like cheerios. interesting fact: kelloggs was originally created as a line of cereals that could be eaten with apple juice instead of milk. at some point the manufacturers decided to use cheaper vitamin D, animal-sourced. I think kashi has a similar cereal to cheerios as far as taste and style go. personally, I find it fun to experiment around with your breakfast.
It might also be possible that it's a regionally-differing brand. Around here, I am certain that cheerios are not vegetarian, but they may be where you are. Oreos in my city are vegan, but basically everywhere else they contain lard (but I still buy newman-o's because the ingredients can change at any time and I don't feel like reading them every time, plus newman-o's have a ginger flavor that is absolutely fantastic).
Lastly, while you agree with peta's position on mostly-veg*n foods, I do not so don't throw it at me. I don't boycott silk because it's owned by a dairy, but I will boycott a whipped cream that's 99% vegan and contains casein. Where available, I will buy products not produced by companies that produce non-veg*n products. It's like buying local instead of wal-mart. I'm also extremely allergic to milk and dairy products and any teeny tiny bit of it in my system will give me diarheaa. I'm sure that was TMI, but I like to explain my reasons.
