Advicenators discussion: Fearless Cux wrote Wednesday December 31 2008, 5:12 pm: I just read that for the first time. Sorry it took me forever.
So are you Fearless?
And where did that come from? Did you make it up?
It's good =] LOL_x0x wrote Wednesday December 31 2008, 7:10 pm: No, it's from the inside of Taylor Swift's new cd! XD
I just read it and I liked it a lot. I thought it would be good to post on my advice column, too.
As far as me being fearless, I have A LOT of fears. But Taylor Swift's idea of fearless is "not being completely unafraid. To me, fearless is having fears. Fearless is having doubts. Lots of them. To me, Fearless is living in spite of those things that scare you to death."
I think everybody has moments where they're fearless. Like the examples it goes on to give:
"Fearless is falling madly in love again, even though you've been hurt before."
"Fearless is walking into your freshman year of high school at fifteen." And so forth...
The moments when you FACE your fears, that's when you can call yourself fearless, I'd suppose. I think I agree with Taylor Swift, and I think there's no such thing as fearless, in the sense that you're not afraid of everything. Because everybody is afraid of something, everybody has doubts.
Wow, I typed more than I thought :P
What about you, are YOU fearless? :] Cux wrote Wednesday December 31 2008, 11:56 pm: My only fear is that I won't be able to wait for LOST to repremiere!
lol jk
Uhm. I have a fear of bugs, but I definitely can't face it.
I'm afraid of not finding someone I love before I get old.
I'm afraid of not knowing everything I can.
But eh, I'm definitely not fearless, though.
But I had a question. When you're a freshmen, you're not 15. You're either 13 or 14. Very few people are 15 when they enter high school. LOL_x0x wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 1:47 am: I know, I thought of that too. But the song is called "Fifteen", so it goes along with it.
I'm afraid of the dark, and I definitely can't face that. People have tried to get me to face it and it just doesn't work.
"I'm afraid of not finding someone I love before I get old."
^ That's one of my fears, too. Cux wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 1:56 am: I'm slightly afraid of the dark, too.
And, ugh, relationships fail for me, like all the time. 20 days until my one year of singleness! =]] LOL_x0x wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 11:11 am: Haha! Nice. I normally am not a relationship person, but obviously, I've made an acception.
I'm glad I did :]
I also noticed last night, that I'm kind of afraid of dogs. My friend pointed it out, because my friend who had the party had 2 dogs and I was just kind of like "..oh...hello...dog..." *backs up slowly* Cux wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 1:35 pm: Haha! I love dogs, mostly.
Well, I love my dogs. Colby, like I was telling you, looks intimidating but seriously is the biggest sweetheart ever ;]
I miss Phoebe, though. She was so rambunctious and loving. She'd get on the back of the couch like a cat would. Haha, she was hilarious! =]
My other dog is 15 years old, and will be 16 in April? Either way, she's old and has doubled her life-expectancy. It's Colby that keeps her alive, I swear! =] LOL_x0x wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 3:12 pm: Aww. Your pets are adorable :]
I like my dog...mostly. I don't like big dogs, they scare me a lot. Both of my brothers are afraid, too. Cux wrote Thursday January 1 2009, 3:44 pm: Thanks. I love my pets. I think you've seen Phoebe before, but like I said, we don't have many pictures. =/ LOL_x0x wrote Saturday January 3 2009, 1:50 pm: I've seen Phoebe before. Cux wrote Saturday January 3 2009, 4:37 pm: I found more pictures of her on my mom's facebook, so I'll send them to you, because she's adorable xDD
Haha I love how we're the only ones in this conversation. LOL_x0x wrote Saturday January 3 2009, 10:25 pm: Alright, sounds good!
And I know right? Haha. Oh well :] LOL_x0x wrote Tuesday January 20 2009, 1:41 pm: Fearless is having the courage to say goodbye to someone who only hurts you, even if you can't breathe without them.
I think allowing yourself to cry on the bathroom floor is Fearless.
Letting go is Fearless.
Then, moving on and being alright...That's Fearless too.
But no matter what love throws at you, you have to believe in it. You have to believe in love stories and prince charmings and happily ever after. I think love is Fearless.
My new favorite part of that! ^ Cux wrote Tuesday January 20 2009, 5:27 pm: =] LOL_x0x wrote Friday January 23 2009, 10:06 pm: :) Erinn_the_bamf wrote Sunday January 25 2009, 3:09 pm: I'm totally late on the naming our fears thing, but I'm terrified of snakes and mice. Funny, seeing as snakes eat mice.
I'm afraid of never falling in love, like you guys. LOL_x0x wrote Monday January 26 2009, 8:18 pm: You're never too late, Erinn! You can post in here whenever you want :) LM wrote Tuesday February 3 2009, 11:59 am: Back to a very old topic, I turned fifteen my freshman year but I started when I was 14.
Maybe fifteen just fit best in the song? Cux wrote Tuesday February 3 2009, 7:53 pm: I turned 15 my freshmen year, but there was like ONE person in my grade who turned 15 like a month after we started freshmen year. I turned 15 the summer after freshman year, actually. I was 14 for all of my freshman year. LOL_x0x wrote Friday February 6 2009, 4:04 pm: ""Fearless" is not the absence of fear. I just wanted to post this on here so I have it somewhere and don't have to re type it next time I want to post it somewhere else :) Cux wrote Friday February 6 2009, 8:22 pm: Laura!
