What happens to the face during puberty?

Question Posted Tuesday December 15 2015, 4:51 pm

I am 15 years of age and I have an enquiry. I know that during puberty your face changes but to what extent? Do you change dramatically from certain ages? When does your face reach full maturity? Does your eye shape change? What changed the most? Also, do you lose a lot of fat or a little?

It generally doesn't change a lot, only to a small extent. Your features stay the same and you'll be able to identify yourself without seeing a major change. For eg) if you currently have large eyes, they will continue to be large
as times goes on and they will be the stand out feature on your face. Puberty ends at age eighteen for females and twenty one for males. The face changes throughout one's lifetime,it's a gradual process. If you lose weight, you'll lose any chubbiness in the face and you'll likely have a more visible jawline.

It also depends on genetics, in terms of which features change the most during certain ages.

Don't focus so much on your appearance, your personality and character is more substantial than how you look and should serve as a reminder of what you should place your attention on.
