How long do hickeys normally last?

Hickeys usually last at least a week. They are basically bruises. If you are desperate to cover it up and get rid of it right away, you can use make up. Try to find a concealer that matches your skin tone. Apply and blend to the area that is infected, and presto your hickey will disappear. Try to refrain from getting a hickey from a lover. It can be painful, as well as not good on your health, and it sure makes you look like crap especially if you have a job.

They list some things to do to treat a hickey. But there are more suggestions on another site. I have never tried any of these myself, just covering up with scarves or turtlenecks.
