I really want to pass this test, but I am failing on an opinion question? Help! I need the job!

Question Posted Sunday January 18 2015, 5:59 pm

I am in the process of looking for a job and I would like to work at Wal-Mart but I failed the pre assessment test twice. The question involves basically your opinion so I don't understand how I keep failing. Any tips ?

We really need to know what the context of the question is. What opinion of YOURS are they asking about? Are they asking your opinion of Wal-Mart or something else?

When being asked your opinion of anything there is really no right or wrong answer just one that others may not agree with. For example what is your opinion of Wal-Mart.

My opinion of Wal-Mart is they are a huge National and International corporation operating Big Box Discount Retail Stores. They employ thousands of part-time workers for wages that are at or just above minimum wage. The stores are merchandised to appeal to the lower income population of the area the stores are located in. While the advertising may show a clean store with happy employees my local Wal-Mart is far from what is shown in the televised ad.

Now that opinion would not get me a job at Wal-Mart but it is my opinion. Whatever you do if you do not write back and put this question to us in context. Do not make something up that you feel will meet with their approval. For after the test there will be an interview and you will be asked this question again and you will not remember what you wrote on the test.
