I really like acting and have been doing it for a while. I want to get into the industry but it is hard to find legit auditions that don't have over a thousand kids auditioning without an agent and to get an agent you need to first mail in headshot/resume and then they might call to set up an interview. The problem is that agencies receive so many applications they randomly throw away about 92 % of them and then look at that 8 %.so i am wasting paper and chances are if i send a hundred of them , Only 8 will be looked at by an agent and I might not be that face they are looking for. So it is a cycle. How do I start in this industry.( please don't say buy a handbook or just perform in theater and ill get around cause it is not working)

I don't know if you've noticed, but there is a lot of reality shows out here, in lala land where I live...a lot of my friends were character actors, Ive assisted some actors myself in my work history, you have to have that "SOMETHING" its not for everyone...you just have to pay your dues, SORRY..you cant have it your way...advice? grow up,stop whineying, and start doing what ever you can, until someone spots you...and think outside of the box...doing commercials is a good way to start a lot of actors started out that way...good luck [ littlesky9's advice column | Ask littlesky9 A Question ]
