Where is syria?
syria is on the news every day but i couldn't find it on a map of the globe. :( i feel dumb can anyone help?

Syria is a country in the Middle East region of the world. It is bordered by Iraq, Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.
This region is always somewhat volatile and the nation of Syria is not immune to that problem. That's why we hear so much about it.

Syria is located in Southwestern Asia, north of the Arabian Peninsula in the Middle East, at the eastern end of the Mediterranean Sea. It is bordered by Turkey on the north, Lebanon and Israel on the west, Iraq on the east, and Jordan on the south.

To find Syria find the continent of Africa. The Mediterranean sea borders the north of Africa. Look to the far east side of the Mediterranean sea. The eastern most potion of the Mediterranean sea makes up the West Coast of Syria, Lebanon & Israel. To the north and the largest land mass to the north bordering the sea is Turkey. The position of these countries are designated the middle east.
If you go to Bing maps and back out to a view of the world. Follow my instructions you should have no problem locating Syria.
