Well life is hard and no matter what anyone ever does they always feel like somthing is missing. And people always try to fulfill that with things they enjoy. But no matter what they do they just feel awful. I felt this way too I almost killed myself I was depressed and sad. I studied other religions, everything. It eventually struck me one day, God did not want a bunch of robots following him, he wanted people who actually love him for who he was. And he wanted to show us how much he loved us by dieing for us so we would be forgiven. Listen I fully respect whatever you and anyone else believes. But I am telling you this because I wish more people would have told me about God when I was not a Christian.

You're definitely not alone. There are so many people who have gone through what you are now going through. A lot of people I know have made it out alive and are doing so much better.

No one on this site is allowed to tell you how to commit suicide. We're supposed to help you live and find ways to work through your problems.

My advice would be to seek professional help. That's truly what you need right now. They will help you find a way to get through your depression and learn how to deal with your problems in a better way.
Also, one of the previous advisers gave you the number to the suicide hotline. Give them a call.

As for being a Christian and not understanding why someone would put people through this, lots of people have that question. It's simply because we have free will. Some things happen to us so that we can help others. Just look it at it that way.
The people on here who have gone through what you're going through really want to help you get through it. Someday you're going to feel the same because you know exactly what it feels like and you know it's going to end up alright.

So go seek professional help.

I'm going to start out this by saying iv only been in this world for only 18 years and I'm no on one to change your thoughts. I went through so much pain that I created myself yes I created myself .because I kept looking at the world very negatively. I went through two deep depressions in my life that almost ended my relationship with my friends and boyfriend. Trust me I know how bad theses thoughts are they never go away they make feel so mad angry inside for no reason and sit there thinking about how bad this world is when really instead of wasting time you could be doing something you enjoy but when it starts to get really bad to the point you can't enjoy anything at all even the things you did enjoy before thats when to start searching for help. Yeah I know searching for help sucks but when you feel ready find it. About people not caring well I agree some people don't care but you just have to look hard enough to find those who do. Just because people don't care doesn't mean you have to be that way and people feel different about love so I won't be able to help you on that but there is hope for love even if you don't think so it just comes unexpectedly. Sometimes people don't grow up knowing how to hug or show affection towards people but of course those people can choose to be cold hearted or learn to love but even though everyone seems to not care its not like that people might be tired or they might be going through hard problems and try to cover it Believe it or not some people could be having the worst life maybe even worse that they may wish to have yours instead it's how everyone's life works everyone has something they don't like about them selfs but I guess you learn to embrace it or deal with it. I know how it feels to want to fall off a tall building and want to die in peace I imagined it a lot it made me feel like I wouldn't have to deal with anything anymore and thought no one would care about me being gone but all I have to say is that music inspired me to never kill myself because some lyrics made sense to me and had similar thoughts like me. It made me feel like I wasn't alone with this feeling. I know its hard to think positively and you know there's many people out there that say religion will help get through it. Well it not true I consider myself a catholic because both of my parents but I realized that some of the things thy said seemed untrue which is why some people have a hard time believing in god but I grew up knowing that god was there just to protect me but other them that I didn't really learn much nor it wouldn't have helped me get through life but if you feel religion could help you go for it anyway I hope I helped in a way. Good luck :)

I know how you feel. I have felt suicidal on and off for the past several years and often feel like suicide is the only option left. . . . Life can be that awful. But you do not have to feel like this forever because there are ways to get help.

Suicide will not make your life better, but it will end the possibility of things ever getting better.

I think you should look at these. They helped me somewhat, and I think they will help you too:

I also think you need someone to talk to. Confiding in a close friend or family member is one option (if you haven't already), but you can also call a suicide hotline.
You can email me any time if you want someone to talk with. My email is athena4896@gmail.com.

You might feel like there is no more hope in this world, but hold on to the hope that things will get better. You can get help from a therapist or psychiatrist.

Is there anything other than killing yourself that can be done to alleviate your problems? You can leave town and start fresh somewhere else. You can transfer schools. You can break up with your partner/get a divorce (depending on your age).

What will you be missing out on if you die? You will be missing out on being alive and feeling emotion, for a start. You will never see your friends and family again. Speaking of your friends and family, they will feel awful if you kill yourself. They will blame themselves, and if you write a suicide note, they will read it over and over again and wonder what they could have done differently.

I think you should find something to do that you enjoy. I recommend doing exercise because it really helps relieve stress. Meditation and yoga are the same way.
I really enjoy writing. Depending on who you are, that kind of thing might help you, too. But look around to see what interests you and makes you feel better.

Please stay strong and find a way to enjoy life again. Remember that many other people have gone through this exact same thing -- including me -- but they were able to get help and then keep living.
Don't give up. I believe in you.

As someone who once suffered from a major depressive episode I can feel you pain. While I can feel you pain the one thing I will not do is tell you how to die. Wish to die is the depression talking. What I will do is help you live and get help for your depression.

I know you feel the world is a horrible place. Every generation has felt the same way about the world they occupy. Fact is the world has always been in some form of turmoil almost from its creation. Why it is this way I do not know. What I do know is somehow someway the leaders have always brought us back from the edge. One would think we would learn from our history but we don't. This is just the way things are.

Now add to how things are through the perception of someone with depression and things are much worse than they are. Depression alters what we see in a way that makes us even more depressed. We tend to see only the downside of things.

SO the first thing those of us that suffer with depression have to learn is not to accept what we perceive as we perceive it. We have to question what we see and look for the upside.

Next we need professional help to deal with the depression itself. If you are actively suicidal pick up the phone and call 911 and help will be sent to you.

IF you are not planning on hurting yourself right now then I would like you to click on this link and read this page; it will only take you five minutes. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Or call this hotline: 1-800-273-8255. This is the National Suicide prevention hotline. It is open 24/7 staffed by trained volunteers who will talk with you and help you find someone in your hometown to help you.

suicide is not an answer to the problems you may be having. It is the wrong solution for it leaves behind many hurt people who love you and are terrible hurt by your loss. People who most likely could have helped you if you had only asked for their help. So ask for their help or call the hotline. Don't let the devil of depression win the battle.
