I can't take acetaminophen and when I get my period I get severe cramps to the point I feel I'm going to be sick and or pass out. Because of my allergy I can't take midol or any of that. I take ibprofen but it doesn't help. Are there any other remedys that could help me?
~Apply heat - use a hot water bottle or heat pad and place it on your lower abdomen (You could make a rice sock if you don't have one). A warm bath or shower might also help.
~Exercise - when you are doing exercise, your body is pumping more blood; this helps to release endorphins to counteract the prostaglandins and reduce your cramps. You could try going for a walk, light jogging or yoga.
~Hot drinks such as Chamomile tea is good for period cramps. Active ingredients in this gentle herb help ease the spasms in your uterus that cause that crampy feeling. [ Tigz285's advice column | Ask Tigz285 A Question ]

I also use a heating pad. That helps so much. Or take a hot bath with epsom salt.
It also helps if someone massages you.
