Haha yeah I know how you feel, it's super annoying when you can't get your mind off something. Don't just sit at home because that's just gonna bunch your thoughts up together. Go outside, have some fresh air, and I would suggest going out on a run. Running is a pretty good thought/stress reliever. Or you can go and hangout with friends because who doesn't like being happy? :D

The best way is to think about it.

The best way is to think about it, but do not attach it to any feeling or emotion, and the thought will soon pass.
