Solitude is when you're quite content with being by yourself, loneliness is basically the opposite.
Now I notice you think that you can overcome lonliness via connecting on facebook? The thing is, physically you wont feel any better being in a room ON YOUR OWN, even if you're typing to people.
To truly overcome this you have to make some physical friends. Also, you need to recognise it is fine sometimes to be on your own. Once you can enjoy being alone, then the pressure will be off.
You need to work with what you've got. Your friends/family may be avoiding you, but at least you have them. Try to maintain these relationships, in one way or another. But don't overdo it.
You need to meet up with others and start new hobbies to do this. Also overcome any self esteem issues that may be holding you back. Good luck :) Btw: Just type in cure for loneliness into Google... [ kittenlover2000's advice column | Ask kittenlover2000 A Question ]
