could sperm pass through clothes and get positive pregnancy test

Question Posted Saturday May 25 2013, 6:59 am

We're really sure that we didn't do other sexual activity aside from dry humping. I'm just confused because the hpt we took got a faint positive and appeared beyond the recommended time indicated in it's package. Do you think it is a false positive?

Sperm can technically travel through underwear, but I don't think it can travel through clothing. That being said, anything is possible. Is it likely that you're pregnant? Nope.

False positives are not uncommon. I think you should take 2 more tests and see what happens. I highly doubt that you are pregnant, but it's important to check anyways.

Good luck! I hope everything turns out well :)

It's technically possible, but highly unlikely to get pregnant that way. Wait a few days and then buy and take a higher quality test.

If you got a positive, it's most likely false. Sperm doesn't normally pass through clothes. It's nearly impossible.

Did you take two other tests? If they came out positive then you might want to get checked out. If they came back negative, you're probably fine.
If you're still worried, go see a doctor.
