I want to know how I can find my talent My friend is multi-talented. She can play viola, violen, and piano. She also sings pretty good and can draw pretty good. She doesn't really realize how good she is but she is really good. I've wanted to be good at a lot of those thing but I just don't think I sing very good, I know I suck at playing the violen, and I can't draw without a tutorial unless it's a random doodle. I want to be a fashion designer and I think I'm pretty good at that. I make sets on polyvore and I get a good amount of likes. Would that be considered a talent? And if not how do I find my talent?

Well to be a fashion desire you obviously have to be good at drawing so you can try to get better at that.
You'll never know unless you try different things. There are so many things to learn. Most people don't just pick up an instrument or pick up a pencil and just magically get good at it. So practicing for awhile will definitely help.
My friend sucked at play violin and piano at first but now she is amazing and gets asked to play for tons of things.
There are sports-
Volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, track, swimming, tennis, aerobics, gymnastics, colorguard.
Or other instruments-
Drums, piano, xylophone, bass, accordion, tuba, french horn, clarinet, flute, harmonica, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, harp, guitar, cello, electric guitar, ukulele.
Or maybe you'd be into composing music.
Different arts-
painting, sewing, cooking, ceramics, photography, jewelry making, sculpture, gardening
I think speaking other languages are a talent :) I also think it'd be cool to show off..
Spanish, French, ASL, Greek, Latin, Italian, German, ect.
Dancing-Ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, modern, swing, belly dance, hawaiian, latin, ect.
Or even martial arts, acting, theatre or taking singing lessons.
Computer stuff-
Html, graphic design, word processing, web design, programming, desktop publishing.
Or other random stuff that's hard for a lot of young people.
Speech, debate, public speaking, journalism, creative writing
Anyways, good luck and there are so many things to learn and once you do, you can enjoy it. ]
well, you need to know quite a lot of basic sketching to be good at fashion designing so you can not really say you know nothing about drawing..it is just that you know just what you need for your fashion studies part and it is great.
yes, fashion designing is a talent. you need to have a very good taste of colors , fabrics , and designs and patterns. if you pursue fashion studies as your career , you would also need to study types of stitching etc. which really requires talent and brains.
if you want to find out more of your talents other than this, and since you are not good at singing and playing violin, try out other activities like dancing, ballet dancing, creative writing, quizzing, playing guitar maybe?...or abacus and mental maths...modelling...acting...public speaking...debate..recitation..and if you are not into any of these then making of craft and stationery?....
or if you are an athlete then you can try chess , horse riding, swimming, basketball etc. however to find out in which one you will excel, you will have to start taking courses for it.
you can not sit without doing anything and expect to be good at it. everyone needs guidance. but even after that if you feel you are not liking it or your progress is not as much as it should be, then clearly it is not for you. but give everything a try .you never know what is waiting for you!! ]
Experience a few things with a friend or family member.
-Singing: Try singing to someone or recording yourself to see how you REALLY sound. You're voice just sounds different to you.
-Acting: Try getting a script (Or acting a character's part on a movie or TV show) and act in front of a camera or friend/family member.
-Dancing: There are a lot of dance tutorials on YouTube. While doing the tutorials, do them in front of a mirror.
-Drawing: There are also a lot of drawing tutorials on YouTube. Look at the tutorials of your favorite cartoon characters, flowers, animals, etc. Start out with something small, then something big.
-Any Other Instruments: Try learning how to play guitar, keyboard, drums... Any instrument. Look at some "How to play [Instrument name here]" and that should get you started. Once you get the hang of it, try learning some simple songs. Even try going to a music store and getting one of those music books that have small songs and all kinds of other things in them.
Good luck and I hope you find your talent :)
