Native American DNA testing?

Question Posted Friday April 12 2013, 5:14 pm

Today I met my biological sister, She told me that we had native american in our bloodline. How could I find out for sure? Is there a blood test I can take? I have a hard time believing that because I am as white as a ghost and do not look native at all.

I don't know if there's any test, but I myself and part Cherokee indian, but I have the complexion of raw chicken. I never tan, I just burn very quickly. I'm extremely pale and always have been, yet I am an eighth Cherokee (my mother was forth Cherokee, her mother half). I also do not look native at all. So...having some of that in your blood doesn't guarantee you'll look the part.
